I stopped by here with a friend because we wanted a quick meal. This was a mistake. We were the only customers there at what should have been lunch rush. The guy at the register took no less than five minutes trying to enter our order into their Point of Sale system, and ultimately forgot half of it. I didn’t look at the receipt, which I should have, so that’s on me. When we got the«Jamaican Jerk» burger and fries, it was wholly disappointing. The burger patty was clearly from frozen stock; it was leathery on the edges and pink in the middle, with a consistency similar to that of a hockey puck. The sauce was alright, and it had a reasonable level of spice to it for what it was intended to be. The fries were terrible; most were undercooked and they were all limp. The establishment itself was dirty. There was food and even garbage(!) on the tables, but none of the three guys working there seemed inclined to clean it up, despite there being only two customers(my friend and I). Having previously worked in the food industry, I have to say, this is one of the worst-run restaurants I have ever been in in my entire life.

Ordered takeout at 8:35pm and got a confirmation text that the order was received and currently being prepared. The driver called at 10:02pm and said he was on this way and very close. It is now 10:29pm and the driver is still not here because he is confused about the location and does not know how to get here. SIR or MA’AM, YOUHAVEONEJOB. It is at minimum, to know how to read a GPS. The location where I am is not hard to find, it is at the intersection of a major highway and busy street. The restaurant has contact information but it closed at 9:00pm so I can’t even trouble shoot right now. I should make a note that it is through Grub Hub and I’m not sure who is to blame but based on other reviews, this has been an outstanding issue for years now. I will never ever order from this place again. In the time it has taken them to still be en route to deliver gyro fries and a hot Italian beef sandwich, I could have boarded a flight to Chicago and grabbed a bite to eat and potentially have been about to land back on the Tarmac at MSP. Not cool Flavorbee/Grub Hub, not cool. Update: it’s 10:53pm and the food has arrived and as expected, is cold like yesterday’s leftovers. We reheated the gyro fries, hot Italian beef sandwich, jerk wings, and teryaki wings and I’d give the food 3⁄5 stars. Pretty standard late night eats with the flavors you’d expect. I called Grub Hub to explain my general frustration and they credited us with a $ 15 future use credit. I’m updating to 2⁄5 stars since the food wasn’t terrible.

The burgers are actually really great. The fries are meh. The side salads are meals in and of themselves. The prices are dece.

All I craved since yesterday was a Philly Steak sandwich. All Subways in the area were closed(wtf, right?), so I decided that Banh Mi will do. The Vietnamese restaurant in the area said they were too busy to make it, so I walked to this gem and got an amazing spicy philly steak sammich! Great prices, will be coming back for gyros and hot wings.

The delivery is so unreliable I usually call ahead to find out if they are offering it that night. Annoying, but they brought us hot cheap food so we were what I’d call regulars for a couple years. After last night though we won’t order there anymore and I would not recommend friends order here either. About a month ago, we ordered and they were more than an hour late. Then last night we thought we’d try again, but they charged my credit card and never showed up with dinner at all. I called, they said«oh it got busy, your food is on the way now» and but a half hour later they had still not arrived. I called to tell them to refund my money because we had to make alternative dinner plans. They did not answer the phone. I will have to call the bank and report the charges today.

I usually am really optimistic when trying out new restaurants and hoping to always give good reviews, but it is unfortunate that I was not impressed by this one. Even with the mixed reviews on here I thought i’d try this place out to see for myself. Unfortunately I did not enjoy it very much. They didn’t get my order correctly, my food was burnt, and it really wasn’t worth the money. I ordered a juicy lucy, and got a regular hamburger instead. The burger itself was nothing special. There was nothing on it except for the meat, lettuce, and tomato. I didn’t get any condiments with it, and assumed that I would since the online menu didn’t have the option to add it. My onion rings that I ordered on the side was falling apart as many of the rings were in pieces hanging together from what was supposed to be my onion rings. Many of the onion rings were also burnt. In addition I ordered the 18 piece chicken wings and was very disappointed with how tiny the wings were. The chicken wings were overly dressed with the sauce. The bottom of the tinfoil that it came in literally had a 2inch thick layer of the sauce which was as high as the chicken wings itself. So the few wings at the bottom was swimming in the sauce which seemed like they just dumped on the chickens. And because the chickens were so small, most of them tasted like a mouthful of BBQ with a tiny amount of meat. I am honestly quite disappointed and I’m sorry but I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone.

Order did not arrive correctly even though I called to explicitly say a plain hamburger. The hamburger came with everything. Will not order from this place anymore.

I ordered a burger to be delivered. It took well over an hour for it to arrive. The driver called me to ask where my house was. Maybe I’m being unreasonable, but that’s unacceptable. The burger and fries tasted like it was literally something out of the store brand frozen food section. Will never order from here again.

Delicious food for cheap prices! It’s a small little eat in or carry out restaurant. It used to be connected to the store next to it but new management had put a wall between the two shops now. Which I think makes it better. If you end up going try the spicy philly cheese steak, you won’t regret it! The gyros are so-so the meat was really dry when I had it. Either way you can’t beat the prices of good quality food!

Just discovered this little gem while perusing Urbanspoon for a place would deliver to my apartment. I ordered six of the Jamaican jerk wings which were delicious, the sauce was awesome! My boyfriend got the Spicy Philly Cheesesteak, which definitely had some snort and also a great flavor. We also got a piece of the carrot cake, which was legit with bits of carrot in the cake and frosting that tasted like it might have had some cinnamon in it. And the prices are so awesome! My boyfriends comment after finishing his sandwich was«Why would we order from anywhere else ever again?» We’re hooked!

The food is HORRIBLE… Only thing I ate from a combo with 4 wings and 8 shrimp was the BREAD! Best part was the soda! I will NEVEREVER go here again. If only I could get a refund !!!

Turns out some books CAN be judged by their covers. This place looks janky as hell from the outside, and it only gets worse once you step in and place an order. There were exactly zero customers aside from me and my friend Elena when we stepped in here, yet they still got our order wrong. The décor inside was just as sad as it was outside, and for once I envied Elena for being blind. When I told her as much she shrugged and said«I almost wish I didn’t have a sense of taste anymore either.» The food was THAT bad. We had wings, a Juicy Lucy, and fried okra. The Juicy Lucy had no cheese in it and was lukewarm; the wings were a tragedy even by fast food standards. While we were eating a couple came in and began to debate loudly with the owner about why he didn’t accept EBT cards. Another woman demanded a sample of their«guy-ro» sauce before purchasing anything. I kind of liked that this place was so hood, actually. But I can see most people not enjoying that aspect. Anyway, I can’t get jiggy with this place. Thumbs down, middle fingers up.

If you are a fan of wings or greasy spoon food this place is great. However… I live three blocks away and after almost three years still can’t find my building. Also you have to repeat your order about four times before they understand. I’ve had lots there and would keep to the wings… keep away from the gyro and falafel as they suck and you can get much better in the cities. If you want wings and an occasional pizza puff this is the place… just expect questionable service

I’m glad I finally tried this place out, and also that I did it as I’m about to move out of this neighborhood. Otherwise, I’m screwed royally because I’d be eating here pretty often. Seriously, this place has good, delicious, AFFORDABLE food. I don’t know wanna say cheap as that, well, cheapens the experience, but it is a mighty amount of gut-busting, flavor-popping, hunka food for a small price. This dining room is small, only four of those small, square picnic tables. It’s neat, well-lit, and well-ventilated, and the paint looks fresh. It doesn’t necessarily look like that from the outside, so there may be some facelift needed. I kinda did a double take when I saw the menu items and their prices. $ 4.99 for a 7′ Philly cheesesteak? $ 7.99 for a catfish/chicken wing combo with fries and slaw? Man, it seemed too good to be true. Like an infomercial. Or those Cash4Gold commercials. But, against all logic, they did give me a filled-to-the-brim, delicious cheesesteak for $ 5 and some chili cheese fries for $ 2.99, which was big enough to be an appetizer at your typical bar. I thought it was unique that they had the liquid cheese(liquid gold, more like it) at the bottom of the bun, but I guess that kept it warmer longer. The meat was not sliced, but more finely chopped beef, and was very tasty and salted just right. There’s no frills to this sandwich, just meat, cheese, bread. Boom. The chili cheese fries were kinda fantastic, too. All that gooey cheese under that molten hot chili… not spicy, just surface of the sun hot. So try not to shovel it into your face too fast. It’s definitely worth the longer-than-your-fast-food wait. The place seems to be run by a small, yet friendly, crew.

Since moving here I have pined for delicious wing delivery, thank you Flavor Bees for coming along and filling a hole in my heart.(or creating one with your delicious fried wings?) My friends and I have ordered from this place twice and each time we were really pleased with our order. We’re all big fans of the buffalo and BBQ wings, but they have over 20 flavors to fall in love with! The fried Okra is awesome, and so are the cheese fries! I will warn they are TERRIBLE on delivery times! You will wait a while for your wings, but they have always showed up HOT and delicious, so I forgive them.

I will always think of this little space as Chef E’s Soulfood, even though it was open for a very brief time years ago, and failed spectacularly due to fights between the locally famous Big E and his business partners. Flavor Bee’s however is a wings place, with burgers, sandwiches and fried fish. I enjoyed my wings with #5 sauce(their own BBQ sauce) and onion rings. They deliver.
