Gateaux

Gateaux does a wonderful job captioning a couple’s idea for their wedding cake! As a wedding photographer, I love the beautiful detail work they add to cakes! Amazing job every time I see one of their cakes at a wedding I’m photographing!

Gateaux, Inc: almost too awesome for words. Then again, maybe the first word should’ve been: expensive. But, if you’re prepared to shell out for an amazing cake, you can’t go wrong with getting one from here. Robin runs a tight ship, and when I met her, she was clearly a thoughtful perfectionist that could get the job done with flying colors (and then some). In fact, I felt part of the extra cost over a run-​of-​the-​mill cake baker was justified with the fact that I knew from the first meeting that this was one part of the event I wouldn’t need to worry about at all. Aside from the first brainstorming meeting, choosing our flavor selection, sending inspirational photos/​swatches, timing and payment, there was no extraneous follow-​up needed, no info mix-​ups, no dramarama with other vendors &c. This was especially a treat since I was planning long-​distance.
Oh, and I’m told the various flavors were also delicious. I have to admit, I didn’t get to try much of it, so I’m really excited to try the top of the cake in about a year.
As Jessica A. said in her review, while the cake is (mostly) gone and eaten, it’ll be a conversation piece for years, I’m sure. These folks were probably my favorite vendor, of all the ones I had to deal with.

What can I say… our wedding cake from 3 years ago is STILL a conversation piece with friends and family!
As an out-​of-​state bride, Robin and the rest of the staff took unbelievable care of us and paid extreme attention to detail to make our cake truly become the «cake of our dreams»!
And not only did it look spectacular, but the taste — — it was to die for! We had a coconut cake and a raspberry cream cheese… mmmmmm… Soo good!
