I had heard mixed reviews about other Wuollet’s locations, and I actually had a person I trust very much report such a bad experience at another location that she actually walked out without ordering anything and went to another cake store. I was also honestly somewhat suspicious because Wuollet’s seems to be perpetually running a Groupon. Why is that? Do they need to drum up business? But I’m happy to say that my fears were unfounded. I ordered a custom designed cake for my husband’s birthday(using the aforementioned Groupon, which was accepted with no problem). The person who helped me was super nice, listened carefully and took good notes. I had a design idea in mind and was honestly unsure about whether it would be possible. She told me confidently that they could do it, and I chose to believe her. Coming back to pick up the cake, I was nervous. I didn’t know if the bakery would be able to execute my idea well. I didn’t know if I had explained it well. But when she opened the box, I was delighted. The cake exceeded my expectations and was perfect. It was also a huge hit at the party. And it tasted delicious. We chose marble cake with raspberry filling and fudge frosting and it was just to die for. We would definitely order another cake from this Wuollet’s.

Went here on a whim because we had some free time before a meeting, pleasantly surprised! The people behind the counter were really friendly and man do they have a lot of amazing baked goods to choose from! Can’t go wrong by visiting here. The donuts are great but I didn’t have the coffee so I can’t make comments about that, however if you want some great baked goods give it a try

Delicious cakes, cupcakes and cookies. If they’re out of one of their cookies, they’ll make you some for pick-up the next day. Friendly, accommodating service.

Wuollet(all locations) are pleasant, safe, traditional bakeries that aren’t particularly exceptional but do everything the way that would please everyone’s aging grandmother and make her feel at home. The service is good – the folks who work there will help you get the right cake. Are there better bakeries? Oh yes(Rustica, Patisserie 46, Salty Tart, etc), but when you’re out west it’s a heck of a schlep to get to them. This Wayzata location also has an espresso machine(don’t expect much) and an updated, pleasant(if smallish) seating area with outside seating in warm weather. If you need to take your traditional grandparents somewhere they’d feel comfortable, this is the place.

Great spot for the whole family. My kids love the donuts and the daily soup specials are great. Everything homemade and it shows. If you have never tried this place I highly recommend it. ALSo be on the look out for their groupons. Great way to save money.

I got a few cakes here for my wife’s surprise party. Not only did they help to pick out the right number and variety for our number of guests, but they were fresh and delicious when I came to pick them up. They gave great thorough directions on how to take care of the desserts before they were served. Specials shout out to the decorated there who was happy to fill the entire cake with a hand written inside joke as part of the festivities. Its the highlight of our walks along the lake to stop in for a quick treat at Wuollet’s!

We ordered rolls for breakfast on Christmas. We had cinnamon rolls and sticky buns. I only had the sticky buns and they are delicious. They keep well a day or too as well. Especially if you like them warm as I do. The cinnamon rolls are huge in size and flavorful as well. I’d recommend the bakery and will gladly have their offerings again when I am in the area again.

Their fried pecan croissants are out of this world! VERY expensive for a bakery, although native Wayzatans can afford it.

Keep in mind I have found excellent baked goods at Café Latte, Kowalkis and Taste of Scandinavia. After being delighted by those places, I went in search of a moist, yummy cup cake. First I went to the Woullet Bakery in Robinsdale. The cupcakes were very pretty and the different flavors I selected had great tasting frosting… but the cake was dry and crumbly as you ate it. the only flavor I detected in the cake portion was ‘salt’. Horible! So, my next stop a week later was Woulett in Edina. Same disappointment. DRY, salty, crumbly cake under the beautiful frostings. Nasty! Today, about 2 weeks later… I visited the St Paul location on Grand ave.(just blocks from the awesome Café Latte’. Again I experince Disapointment! I ate the frosting and threw the cake portion away! argh! Finally, I asked«why are they so dry»? I’m told they are mass baked and quick frozen at the Edina location. Then, taken from freezer at a later date and frosted. Can this be why the frosting tastes good but the cup cake is horrible? At $ 2.25 each. I regret throwing 12 cupcakes(4 from each location, all different flavors) away! $ 27 for frosting? No Thanks, I’ll go back to Café Latte!!! You may enjoy the coffee cakes and sweet rolls but stay away from the cup cakes.

The cakes look glorious, and all of the cupcakes I’ve tasted(several) are delicious. Today I stopped in for lunch. For the price of two cupcakes I got a cup of chicken enchilada soup(which was fantastic) a breadstick, cookie and milk… then I got two cupcakes. I left about $ 10 liter, but very happy. My only complaint is the price(I’m starting to feel like a broken record!). Even if I were in a position to drop $ 7.95 for a pack of hot dog buns, or $ 6 for some bread. I don’t think I would. I think $ 30+ for a 9″ round cake is a little dastardly, too.(DANG, if it doesn’t tempt me though still! Haha!). In all, this shop is a prefect fit for it’s cozy Wayzata location, and the food is good, so I’m a fan. One warning: GOEARLY. Last time I tried to get lunch they were all out, and it wasn’t even 1pm, & the cupcakes get pretty picked over early, too. They close at 5(or 6).

What a special place, a real traditional bakery, it is AWESOME!!! Loved it from the second we walked in, great selection, very friendly staff… I axed for a chocolate cake donut and they were out… so someone in the back made one for me… it was the BEST I have ever had… Andrew had a muffin that I tried to take away… nice place to sit and have a chat while enjoying a treat… we had 20 minutes to kill before a meeting and I wanted to stay for lunch! LOVEIT.

This is a great bakery to purchase a special birthday cake… I’m a big fan of the Princess Torte. Hmmm… this location out in Wayzata reminds me of Christmas time, when my mom buys a big box of holiday cookies for Christmas morning. The brownies are decadent and I love their carrot cake as well. For a local chain, Wuollet’s delivers solidly every time.

Best groups of family-owned bakeries n the Twin Cities. Everything I’ve ever had from this bakery is outstanding — including cakes I’ve ordered. Try the cookies — all are very good. Also, their German chocolate and carrot cakes set the gold standard.
