Art of Optiks

Being new to area and enjoy unique frames, I was excited to try this place. The service was friendly and knowledgeable, I honestly was underwhelmed by selection. Nothing felt very current. The clerk kept pushing Chrome Hearts, which maybe because I was a guy and they had more frames in that line that were unisex. Definitely too ornate, and not my taste, but maybe an older Wayzata clientele equates overly ornate with being updated and in fashion. Won’t be returning.

Routine eye exam took 2+ hrs. Staff kept rotating in & out of exam room to attend to other patients.

I am writing a second review to be a little more specific.
Dr. Tim Haupert is the best Opthamologist I have had (I have had 3 prior.) I have Macular Degeneration in my family, the equipment he at his hands allows me to be at ease and ahead of curve on this condition. He is excellent at explaining what is going on with my eyes and has always provided a prescription that allows me to see the same as I used to before I needed glasses.
Stephanie is always cheerful, welcoming and helpful. She has helped me with a couple of my frame choices and her style sense is spot on.
Margaret is a cut above any retail/​customer facing representative I have encountered. She has selected 3 of my favorite frames and is a whiz at adjusting frames for a perfect fit. Margaret’s eye is phenomenal.
Melissa has always been fun and professional during the testing portion of my appointments.
Tyler and Dana are a delightful ray of sunshine anytime I call or stop in.
Art of Optiks is fairly priced for the service I received. I have paid the same or more at other places for a mediocre experience.
I have referred many and 4 colleagues have already visited Art of Optiks for exams and frames, each of them have purchased 2 frames (13 frames purchased between 5 people, they’re doing something right!)
Wherever you are located in the Twin Cities and surrounding suburbs, Art of Optiks is worth the drive.

I’m making the transition from readers to real glasses. I’ve been on the hunt for two weeks and finally found a great place. The service was amazing as well as having a great selection. Informed, helpful and they made you feel like the glasses were made just for you.
The ones I selected didn’t break the bank either.
