I love local businesses, I love art. Grey Fox Pottery paint-​your-​own studio hits the mark on both. It was a nice activity for our family (myself, husband and two boys) on a sweltering Saturday in July. Chloe at the shop was very helpful and patient. They boys finished painting their first piece of pottery and asked for more! Husband even had fun crafty his own chalice for his favorite beer — he didn’t want to go in the first place.
Also got a quick tour of the back area, which is used to hand make custom mugs for businesses, with a logo medallion imprint on the mugs. Cute gift shop up front featuring local artists crafts, very affordable.

We stopped in at Grey Fox Pottery to kill a few minutes until our to go order was ready at Brasa down the street. I’m so glad we did! The ladies running the store were attentive and friendly, but not overly so. They made sure our questions were answered, but weren’t pushy or salesy by any means. Grey Fox offers paint your own pottery, and they have lots of cute things available, like teapots, ceramic dinosaurs, and little treasure boxes. It would be a fun activity for a birthday party! There were plenty of finished objects, too. Renaissance festival-​esque mugs, glass vases, and more. Definitely worth stopping in the next time you’re in the area!
