The winner of the Bahn Mi Challenge! We pitted our usual selection from Quang against the sandwich from Hoang Thien, and it was no contest: Hoang Thien all the way. Generous portions, perfect spice, just fantastic. The fresh spring roll purchased to accompany the sandwich was also a revelation: tightly rolled, filled with goodness. Service is fast and friendly. Prices are unbelievably fair. You must eat here.

Good banh mi. The grilled pork was fantastic. I enjoy the atmosphere a bit more than Lu’s or Jasmine as well. Give it a go!

This is as good as Vietnamese food gets in the Twin Cities. And the prices can’t be beat. Try the bun cha Hanoi specialty(rice noodles and grilled pork), or the phở bo(noodle soup with beef), or perhaps some banh mi(sandwiches). I like their banh mi thit nuong, which has delicious marinated pork. You may also want to try their durian smoothie since this is one of the only places you can get it.
