Love the store, love the merchandise, however like to bring my friends on a little vintage, antique tour of my favs. Every time I come before noon, they aren’t open. Drives me nuts. They have set hours, why don’t they keep them? Mystery to me.

This place is a great find! I’d hate to spread the word because I want all the cool stuff in here to myself. The prices were really reasonable. Not everything in here is a gem, lots of stuff to sift through but that’s half the fun!

This is my secret store. I live close by, so my husband and I often walk here when we are bored. This place is great because they have so much random stuff, and its always changing. And… THEYHAGGLE. Or at least, my husband gets them to. I have gotten a lot of fun, cheap items for my house here. There’s a ton of lame stuff, but with enough digging, you can find some great jems. They’ve been expanding as of late, which is great to see. Good stuff for your house, mostly. Some antiques.

This thrift shop is okay. There’s tons of stuff but none of it is anything you couldn’t find at a garage sale or your grandma’s house.

It Takes A Village is a menagerie of good and bad household items. It’s one of those places that requires some digging and frequent trips in order to find items that are really worthwhile. Pricing varies between reasonable/affordable and overly priced. They’ve had some great pieces of furniture at affordable prices. The staff is really friendly and is always willing to help move furniture. Overall, it’s hit-and-miss at It Takes A Village, but it’s always fun to poke around, as their inventory changes frequently, and hunt for treasure.

Just like most thrift stores, you really never know what you’re going to find or walk out with. Luck was definitely on my side on my first visit. I had been on the prowl for two nightstands for months. As soon as I walked into It Takes a Village, two nightstands were just sitting there with my name on them. They were exactly what I was looking for. I scored them for $ 16 or less each. It’s a small to medium sized space, but they house a bunch of good quality items. It’s never that crowded either, which I like. Whenever I am looking for something specific for the house I make sure to visit here first before buying a new item somewhere else. Very friendly and helpful staff. Easy parking.

If this place was located on 50th& France the prices would be doubled. After a long search for a nice wood dining room table, I stumbled upon the most gorgeous/perfect one for only $ 60. I had seen similar ones at the thrift stores near France and they were never less than $ 100. If you check in on Facebook, they give you 10% off. I saw they had a lot of other great finds too, and they are always getting new stuff. One of those places where the longer you spend there, the more treasures you will find. The guy who worked there even helped us bring the table to the car. I’ll definitely be back!

It’s never a bad thing when I find a new thrift/re-use store in the cities. I stopped in to check out the wares, and walked away impressed, and sure to return. I did not end up buying anything on my first visit, but I can tell there are treasures to be found here on occasion. The store is well laid out, with a great mix of smaller items among a lot of vintage and retro furniture. All of the prices were very reasonable despite the marketing toward vintage, which could have attracted a premium price in this land of vintage loving people. Check in here on Unilocal and publish it to your FB account… and you’ll get 10% off your purchase. Another item of note… you cannot use a credit card for purchases under 10 bucks. I put a coffee cup back on the shelf when I realized this… I had no cash on me.

Really enjoyed shopping at It Takes a Village. They have a great mix of antiques and newer items. Lots of fun dishes and random housewares. Not a lot of clothes, but the ones they have are nice. Very fair prices on most of the items for sale.
