Wow. I had a major G.I. track disturbance after having the salt pepper tofu. I had been warned by my daughter that she had an stomach upset, last time she ate there, but thought it was a one off. Used to like this place, but I’m done going here.

Called to order take out and was put on hold for 5 minutes and then was unable to get back through. Stopped in and waited over 45 minutes for two orders of soup and an appetizer. The only server in the entire restaurant(bless her heart) was more than helpful and an absolute sweetheart but the chefs or something must have been severely understaffed. A few staff members kept coming out of the kitchen to watch the football game that was being shown, so I wasn’t sure what that was about. The server scribbled me a «$ 10 off next order» coupon on the back of a business card but I am not sure if I would be honored as she said something along the lines of «I am not in charge here but will talk to the managers about what happened.» This is all really unfortunate because I LOVE the food. The spring rolls and vegetable Phở are to die for. I guess I will be looking elsewhere for them now, any suggestions?

Bio: Vegetarian, who loves different cuisines and want to have a good gastronomical experience. Jasmine 26 is an expensive dining place, contrary to it’s sister restaurant which is right across the street(Jasmine Deli). Having said that, food tastes amazing. Neat ambience. Top picks: Hot pot; Spring roll Jasmine 26= Jasmine deli + $$ + some new items on menu. One of few places in Eat street which doesn’t close early for the night. It’s a big plus. As always, it’s always a good experience for your taste buds when you dine in at any of the two jasmine Vietnamese restaurants.

Lychee martini! Love them. I’ve had a mixed bag experience for dinner over the years, however, this place has really transformed and in on their A game. The food is always good. The drink menu is unique: Alcoholic bubble teas in various flavors(frosty like), martinis, beer and other cocktails. The bar is a great place(though smallish) to meet up in pairs OR to eat alone if you are inclined to do so. Happy hour is fantastic.

This place has great modern Asian décor, the location is fantastic(super convenient to post-dinner activities), the service is wonderful. They’re very attentive and accommodating. They also have a great division of the restaurant — one side is more sit-down, the other side is the bar, but it doesn’t feel separated. But I was sorely disappointed with the food. The food here is more Vietnamese fusion in a way, it’s a more modern take on traditional Vietnamese food. I’ve had my fair share of hole in the wall Vietnamese food and this was a fancified version of that, except to the point where I may not really recognize the food anymore. We ordered the egg rolls to start, which were good but not much different from the other Vietnamese restaurants in the city. We also ordered the fried tilapia and the pork belly rice dishes. They were both a bit disappointing. The fried tilapia was well fried, but the sauce was too sweet and the veggies just didn’t add much to the dish. The pork belly in the bowl was tender, but it didn’t have much fat, and wasn’t that appetizing considering it was just chunks of meat on top of rice. The whole dish just seemed off… the flavors weren’t really there, it was dry, just a strange dish overall. If the meat had come shredded already or if it was cut in a different way, it would’ve delivered on expectations, but this was a far cry from what I was thinking when I read pork belly. I was SUPER excited to try their boba cocktails but ended up they ran out of the mango one! And considering the priciness of their food/drinks, decided against it. All in all, this place was okay. It’s a bit overpriced, the food was okay, and the atmosphere and service are really fantastic.

Ugh I used to love this place. Came here for my 30th birthday and it was a disaster. There were 2 other tables in the whole place but we waited 10 minutes for WATER! Then someone finally served us who did not know the menu. We just wanted drinks and dessert but somehow that took another 20 for 6 Drinks! Oh have I mentioned our server was wasted. Absolutely drunk. Offering us other people’s food. Spilling things. It was terrible. I’m sad to say I’ll probably never go back. After: they offered to pay for our bill. We had one more round after that and they fought with us about how we weren’t showing respect. Mind you we had paid them in cash way more as a tip them we would have after their drunk server offered us random things. We finally left agreeing to disagree. I’ll never go back there. NEVEREVER.

Pretty unexceptional. Nice atmosphere. Potstickers were mealy and slightly fishy tasting. Entrees arrived at table when we had barely started appetizers. Yellow curry was just ok. Soupy with nothing special in terms of seasoning. With so many other options, will not be back.

The atmosphere was spacious and uncluttered, however, the veggie potstickers had a gritty texture that led me to believe they had been frozen or refrozen and steamed in a way that gave them a funky texture. I also ordered the pork belly rice bowl, which was just okay. It isn’t worth a trip back for me.

Great food. Many of the same menu options as Jasmine Deli, but in a more expensive sit down restaurant. The bar is also great — they will make you fun drinks!

Vegetarians and vegans be careful! I used to like this restaurant, partly because of the vegan options offered and good reviews from non-meat eaters. I hadn’t been there in a while, so I came in for lunch a couple of weeks ago. My friend clearly ordered veggie potstickers so I could have some. After a couple of bites, something wasn’t right. When the waiter came back, I asked and he said that they were chicken. This is extremely disturbing to someone who hasn’t eaten meat in many years. To make things worse, every time the waiter would come to our table, he would make a comment about how«if you have any special dietary needs, just tell us.» Um, clearly veggie potstickers were ordered and I had ordered my meal vegan. The worst part, though, came at the end of the meal. After the incident, the waiter offered to bring me something to cleanse my palette, which he said would be free of charge. Yet when the bill arrived, he tried to charge not only for the meat-filled potstickers but also for the spring rolls I hadn’t even initially ordered, when he’d insisted they’d be free! I had to make a thing of it to get him to comp the appetizers, and the whole time he continued to make strange comments about how they try to be accommodating. It was a horrible experience. I don’t know if this place has gone seriously downhill or what, but the way the waiter handled the situation after the fact definitely means that I will not be returning.

The food here is great. Last time we went, the waiter was TALKINGONTHEPHONE when he took our order. When he brought our food, HEWASTALKINGONTHEPHONE. And when he brought us our check, HEWASTALKINGONTHEPHONE. What kind of person does that? When he brought our check, he actually took a second to cover the mouthpiece of his phone and mouth the words«Thank you» before continuing his conversation. Like I said, the food is great(the vegetarian Phở is truly incredible). If you don’t mind the totally weird service, I guess you could do worse. I won’t be going back. I hate bothering people when they’re on the phone.

This restaurant is to die for! Usually when you arrive at a restaurant 10 minutes before they close, the food isn’t nearly as good and the staff is obviously eager to leave. We, however, received excellent service — hot food with great portions and sublime flavor. I ordered the basil noodles dish and my husband ordered the Xa Ot, and they both were amazing. We are definitely coming back!

It was very good. Typically, I prefer chicken phở, but their beef phở was delicious! Fresh rolls are solid. Drinks were fairly priced, and I have also heard great things about other things on the menu, but cannot attest to them.

Wasn’t super impressed, average Viet/thai food place, service was satisfactory. Chicken ended up being super spicy when it didn’t indicate there was any spice to it on the menu.

Uhhh… what happened here? I stopped in for a quick happy hour drink/snack the other night, having not been in for 3 years. Now, I remember liking it 3 years ago– good drink list, great food. We sat at the bar and it was very dirty– stuff all over the place. We ordered our drinks, a plum wine and a hot sake and they were priced around $ 3 at happy hour, which was great. Asked to see a food menu and he brings me a ratty paper menu with– no joke, 8 of the ten items scratched out. All that was left were egg rolls and cream cheese wontons. WHAT? I’m actually confused. The bartender was really nice, the drinks were tasty but dang… what happened here?

Went here for the first time on a Friday night around 6:30 with 2 of my girlfriends. Surprisingly there were never more than 4 other tables for the 2 hours we were there. The ambiance was nice, bar area was kind of dark and hidden in the back. Our waitress seemed a little awkward every time she came to the table but took our drink/food orders in a timely manner. I ordered the bahn khot appetizer(mini pancakes with shrimp, veggies) and the beef phở. Both were quite tasty, the bahn khot came with lettuce, mint leaves, cucumber and carrot slices so you could eat them as a wrap or just use the dipping sauce. Definitely something I would order again. The phở was good, but not the best I’ve had. My friends got the pad Thai and stickers which they enjoyed as well. We had a nice time, had multiple people come by to ask how things were/refill water. I would go back and try some other items on the menu.

Eat street sets a high bar for Vietnamese food, and Jasmine 26 just doesn’t quite clear it. Staff was friendly enough, but our avocado spring roll perplexingly took a good 10 minutes longer than our soups(which didn’t come too fast themselves). We got many apologies but no explanation, and the rolls weren’t too great to boot. Tom Ka was as tasty as anywhere(yum); Vietnamese hot pot made me wish I was eating Tom Yum or Phở, as it was somewhere between the two and not as good as either. Spice level and flavor were underwhelming, and for a higher price point and fancier ambience than the typical Vietnamese spot on Eat Street(not to mention a hop skip from amazing Malaysian/pan-Asian), I would have expected to be more whelmed. This close to so many fantastic options, and not ever feeling like having beer with my phở is a true necessity, I’ll opt for one of those next time.

While it may not be authentic Vietnamese food(I’ve lived in a few cities with fine examples of the genre so I know this is a «take» on it) it’s pretty tasty, if not super delicious, food. My friend and I sat on the sidewalk seating and had a great time catching up and chowing on our apps a d entrees. Our waitress was wonderful, just attentive enough, and once she found out that im vegetarian, she was really great at describing and pointing out what would be best with tofu subbed. The salt and pepper tofu was a solid dish, but it was described as really spicy and wasn’t at all. The spring rolls were good and light like spring rolls should be. I hate when they make those suckers big as Chipotle burritos. I am however maybe spoiled and used to a bit more fresh herbs in my spring rolls. I got the crêpe dish, and it tasted quite good. I do wish however that the crêpe had been more«well done» as it was left a little undone on one side and the texture of that wasn’t as appealing as the crispy brown edges. I also would have liked if they patted the oil off of the crêpe after cooking it off. However it was fun to eat something like a dosa without having to find some good dosa(a noble quest and notable effort). My friend ordered the sweet potato noodles which was the other dish I was considering. She really enjoyed it… I might have to try that next time. Lastly, I was looking forward to trying out some of the smaller versions of the entrees that they, according to their website, have on special for happy hour. However I did not see them on the menu so went with a full entrée which while fine, was not what I came for. I think I’ll give it another chance again soon, and try ordering some different items. Hope I can bump this up a star as the service and concept were great.
