I LOVE Lite Bite! A friend introduced it to me one day, and I’ve been hooked ever since. I’ve only had one thing on the menu, because it’s just that good!(It’s the chicken cranberry wrap.) The service is fast and friendly, the portions are large, and I don’t end up in a fast food coma after eating it. I highly recommend checking it out!

And then there were three. I had set up a lunch with 3 other friends from work for a trip to India Express, a place that had awesome reviews on Unilocal. And then we lost one of our group due to a deadline at work. Boo. So my friend and I left Target HQ to meet another buddy halfway between City Center and Target HQ. She got called away to work at the last minute. Double boo! So the two of us walked 8 blocks through the sky-way and a little outside in the 35 degree weather towards India Express. We climbed some stairs and looked around. I asked some passer by people, «Do you know where India Express is?» Their response, «It used to be right there» As they pointed with a disappointed look on their mugs. We both looked at each other, starving, and next door was a good looking sandwich place called Lite Bites. Good enough for us. I ordered a combo sandwich with turkey, ham, and roast beef with cheddar in a pannini press, with chips and salsa. with a Snapple diet ice tea, it was about $ 9. Not bad for downtown. My friend got a chicken and raisin wrap with a corn chowder soup and a Diet Coke. We waited about 5 minutes for our meals from a very polite and helpful counter crew. I would have liked a little more time in the press, as my sandwich was still a little cold in the middle, but not bad at all. Lots of meat and the marble rye was fresh and filling. Not great, not bad. Totally 3 stars. The chips are from a bag, and the salsa seemed jar like, but again. Not bad at all. The salsa cup was an added bonus. Put a smile on my face. My lunch partner loved her wrap and said the soup was real good. The wrap looked huge and the soup looked full of flavor. We were both stuffed full of goodness and were glad we had a nice walk back to our cubicles. Lots of laughs over lunch added to the experience, which is always a plus with good people. Even though we never tried India Express, it was a solid lunch overall.

I work downtown and this is one of my staple lunch spots. The servings are huge and most everything is delicious.
