What a great cozy coffee-shop vibe. Which is lucky since this is a coffee shop. I was happy, first of all, because of the free street(and actually available) parking. I walked in around 4.30 on a weekday and it was packed! People studying, chatting, just relaxing… it looked like a scene from a movie. Just what you picture a neighborhood café looking like. Prices were all more than reasonable, and I love the ceramic mug option for those that are staying in. The food all looked delectable… in fact, I almost stole someone’s because they brought a panini and salad to my table by accident. I had a hot chocolate with almond milk, nothing too fancy, but the barista was friendly and acted like I had chosen the best thing on the menu. I love the ambiance and comfort of the place, next time I’ll have to go with someone instead of having to get work done so I can play one of the board games they have sitting out.

I love this place! The vibe is relaxed and homey, and the coffee is as good as it gets. I recently stopped in for a coffee and a blueberry scone(delicious!) and watched as the regulars came and went, most people seemed to know each other. A great neighborhood spot.

A cute little neighborhood café. Very friendly staff, no obnoxious hipster feel, and good café-type food. The coffee was delicious and the food was great as well, just a bit overpriced for what you get — that’s my only complaint. Overall, wonderful!

Quaint setting for tasks and conversation, but it’s cloaked with the coffee-roasting bread-toasting smell. Those who loathe it know the smell lingers on clothes and hair long after you leave the shop. However, they offer a nice food(not gf) menu, and the tea is sourced by a local NE business. Kitty corner to the shop is an elementary school; mid day traffic is a buzz made pleasant by students directing traffic. So, the smell makes it two stars, the third boosted by its food and tea selection and inciting setting.

I’ve been coming to Maeve’s since I moved to NE. Great coffee and friendly staff. They’re not the typical snooty NE coffee shop(uh hum spy uh house) and if I like, want a fancy coffee drink, like a dirty chai or whatever, they don’t roll their eyes to the back of their head as if I just asked them to give me directions to the nearest Olive Garden(which I wouldn’t do, obvi). Their baked goods are always, uh, good. Scones and bread are tasty(bread usually has nuts). Nice place, spacious to do work or have conversation. Right next to Anchor Fish & Chips and down the road from Dangerous Man. Good location for warmer weather, some shops and restaurants within walking distance.

Lovely neighborhood café bistro. I love coming here in the weekend for a coffee and pastry. They also have delicious sandwiches, soups and salad. Free wifi. Mary the owner is a doll.

First time at this coffee shop. Service was a little slow but I wasn’t in a hurry to leave. Other people seemed to mind but I didn’t. Great coffee and a cozy place to escape the cold on a Saturday afternoon

My favorite place to take my lunch whenever I’m working near by. To be honest, there is a charm about this place that makes keep coming back. I’m not a fan of their salad, but I don’t go there for the salad, I think is the atmosphere and the pleasant relaxed service. The food, aside from the salad, is quite delicious. The service and greetings I get from Maeve’s is as if she knows me and I’m not just a customer. Overall, this is a great place to go if one has work to do and just wants to relax, listen to good music, and eat tasty food while working. Yes, Maeve’s Café is that kind of place.

The food is decent, coffee isn’t. Service is slow. My experience was lukewarm lattes with no froth that took forever. Service is really slow every time I’ve been here. A simple sandwich took 15 – 20 minutes. If you want to watch some hipsters try to run a coffee shop go here. Order a drip and sit back. That seems to be what everyone else does.

The best in the neighborhood! This is my go-to coffee shop, perfectly placed in the arts district right next to anchor fish & chips. Always friendly staff, strong cold press, deliciously-not-too-sweet chai & an array of baked goods(which never seem to disappoint, even in the vegan varieties). The breakfast sandwich on a croissant is a weekend must!

Pros: — nice interiors — personell is really kind — good place to work but also to hang out — very nice atmosphere; the place isn’t too big, but it’s well organized so you don’t feel trapped! Cons: — pricey — the location is a bit unusual, but that could be a positive note for somebody… I usually prefer places that I can easily reach by walking or biking — drinks and food tastiness may vary. My hot chocolate was very good, the pastry I tried was decent but nothing spectacular. Another drink I tried wasn’t my favourite. In conclusion, I suggest to go and see how it goes!

Obsessed with this place. The owner, Mary, is a GEMOF A HUMANBEING. She is the friendliest human in minneapolis and her genuine enthusiasm trickles down to the staff and customers. Maeve’s is a happy place to visit. Drink and food related, the cold press changed my life. Also the breakfast Sammie and the lemon scones are the only things I’d need on my desert island.

This is the coffee shop of dreams. The staff are friendly and always keep it real. Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough latte is awesome and their sandwiches are decent. Fast service! Finally, a coffee place with integrity.

Tasty food and awesome service! Definitely a neighborhood spot. The coffee is nothing to write home about but does the trick. Can get pretty crowded on weekends but lines go quick and the service status friendly. They always have great local artist on the wall which is an added bonus.

More coffee shop than restaurant for sure. The Cuban panini I had was quite good but the salad they served with it was straight up awful and boring. My girl was with me and had the breakfast burrito which was very meh and not enough andoulli sausage in it– all egg. Chai latte was very good and the strawberry smoothie was fine but I wish they offered more than just strawberry and mango for flavors.

Friendly staff and good service but they can’t make a decent cup of coffee. Coffees, lattes, etc are really not good here. Several times I have received coffee that tasted burnt. Latte’s are just yucky(I can’t really elaborate). They have decent baked goods, but that’s about all Update: I went there again recently and ordered a plain ice coffee. Still tasting chemical-y :(

We love this local coffee shop! They have a fun atmosphere that encourages you to stay awhile. Great music is always playing and there are board games. Now, onto the food and drinks! We love their breakfast Sammie, they also have a great Nutella and banana panini! They also have cookies for a mid day treat! They have dog treats if you bring your pooch for a walk. And they are planning to get their liquor license soon to serve wine.

I’ve been looking for a place like Maeve’s for a long time. Solid coffee, fresh baked goods, and a decent playlist of music that doesn’t make my ears bleed. I enjoyed sipping on one of their tasty«fancy drinks,» which had butterscotch and chocolate syrup mixed in my coffee. However, I would probably enjoy most drinks if they have butterscotch and chocolate. The lemon scone I had was buttered just right and airy, and it complimented my drink really well. Although I had a wonderful time working at Maeve’s, I have to tell this bizarre story of this couple breaking up right next to me: Girl: So are we broken up now? Guy: Yeah, I guess so. Girl: You were like… my master. Guy: Yeah, I taught you a lot of things. You learned so fast. Girl: …Do you still love me? Guy: … Girl: DOYOUSTILLLOVEME? Guy: How are your parents? Girl: They’re not doing so well. Guy: Tell me more… Me: ***Gets up, closes laptop, and leaves.*** So much weirdness in that convo, I don’t even know where to begin. But it’s all good! I’ll probably return soon to try some more items on the menu.
