This gym is great in concept and awkward in execution. The setting here is very strange. Some of it is decent, but most of it is set by climbers with very little experience(climbing less than 5 years and in many cases less than 2). I like the idea of letting everyone set problems, but at a certain point quality becomes an issue. If you’re an out of town climber, you’ll certainly be disappointed. It should also be mentioned that there’s no air conditioning, making it nearly impossible to climb during the summer months. On the other hand, this factor probably keep prices low, so it’s probably a worthy trade-off for a lot of climbers. I’m also not entirely sure why this place qualifies as a co-op(and some of the founders also seem to be confused), but I believe members have voting rights, which is definitely a workable model that may have some merit. This spot could be great if the setting improves, but after climbing here for a year, I’m not very optimistic.
