I adore this place. They have amazing coffee and excellent coffee drinks. I’m a huge fan of their Unhappy Hour deals and espresso shots, and my friend constantly raves about their salty dog hot chocolate. Speaking of dogs, they’re allowed inside if they’re well-behaved, so my dog loves stopping here on walks. The drinks are a tad pricey, but to me it is completely worth it. The owners and baristas are incredibly friendly, and the shop atmosphere is cozy.

I am a past employee of Sister Sludge and they are not nice. They talk about our customers when they leave. They bash people in the neighborhood. I couldn’t stand working for them anymore. They don’t allow tips for employees and overall are super controlling.

Staff is friendly at this neighborhood favorite. The coffee is pretty good, the atmosphere is pleasant, and I always have an enjoyable experience. The baked goods are not great but will do in a pinch.

The granitas are amazing! The owner suggested I get one with an extra shot of espresso, and she was right! Amazing! The atmosphere is very friendly and chill.

My wife and I frequent here often since it’s our neighborhood coffee shop and we couldn’t be happier. The coffee is exceptional and the staff is always pleasant and brightens our day. Extra kudos for being dog friendly!

Good tea selection with teapot option. Free wi fi. Small quiet atmosphere with only a handful of tables, a few couches, electric fireplace, and local art on the walls. They post when their book club meets and when they do what appears to be movie nights. One could easily make new friends here especially if you lived nearby and wanted to meet folks in your neighborhood.

Neat neighborhood café. Haven’t had their coffee, but their tea is good. Friendly service. Good selection of coffee, tea, and snacks/pastries. Decent place to do some work.

Favorite mocha… just the right amount of sweet! Unlike most other places, you don’t feel a cavity forming when you take a sip. The sisters provide fantastic customer service – genuine interactions with their patrons and fun personalities! Dogs are allowed, so my pooch loves being able to go inside with me for a treat while I order a drink. Lovely little neighborhood spot.

Went in for the first time, had always wanted to try this place. Really cute place owned by a pair of sisters. Their energy was happy and contagious, they quickly greeted me with all smiles and helped me pick out some coffee. I chose Matador Espresso for home. I also bought a cup of coffee, great flavor! I was offered a free shot of espresso, it really made my day, the little things in life are what matters. I will definitely go back here, and tell all my friends.

Baristas were fun and talkative. Helped us with our indecisiveness and played a lot of air guitar. Comfortable environment and small and nice outdoor seating with a cute little flower garden. Ordered a medium peppermint mocha for just over $ 5, which is a little pricey but the drink was super tasty.

Perfect neighborhood coffee shop. Friendly staff and patrons and you can bring your dog! Not a lot of good options but the pastries are good.

Love this place. Not only are they friendly and remember all of their regulars, they make some damn good coffee and have THEBEST peanut butter cookies. They also allow dogs inside. Perfect place to walk to with your dog and grab a cup to go!

Love this local spot. The owners are great and make a point to get to know you if you come in often. Just don’t be surprised if you think your eyes are playing tricks on you… The sisters are triplets! Their iced coffees and mochas are the best around.

As always great customer service and wonderful coffee. Sister Sludge is owned by triplets who take turns behind the counter. They are friendly and create a familiar atmosphere for the customers. The Iced coffee drinks are made with espresso ice cubes. That along with the espresso flavored scones make a perfect midmorning snack.

I’m on a witch hunt in Minneapolis to find the best latte. This place had good service, but the latte was lacking.

Fantastic little coffee shop! I find this place about halfway from home to work(and back). I often stop in for a quick treat. It is a typical urban hippie coffee shop. Local art on the walls, couches, etc. Even bring your dog in to cuddle with if you please! Their coffee drinks are great! I prefer the Turtle. The service is always friendly(sometimes maybe a little too friendly when I am in a hurry, but no worries!)! They do have a little food if you are in need of a snack, or a foundation in your tummy before you pump it full of caffeine. Environmentally friendly. Just my kind of place and worth a stop!

I am new to SE Minneapolis & always keeping an eye open for nice little coffee shops to frequent on the weekends in between errands & such. On this particular Sunday, I drove by & noticed there was an empty police car outside of Sister’s Sludge. I decided then that I would be stopping in on my way back home. Police officers drink coffee & donuts like it’s their job, right? This must be a good spot. Know this: I am a latte drinker, and I always add a flavor shot. If I’m trying to be good, I usually go for a sugar-free flavor. Here they had a good variety of flavor syrups– irish cream & pumpkin spice were in the mix. I settled in on sugar-free hazlenut. — PRODUCT: The latte did not dissapoint. Perfectly hot temperature(sometimes I feel chain shops skimp on the heat, and that is sad when you’re drink is room temp after 2 minutes) & perfect flavor/espresso/milk/no froth mix. All for under $ 4(mine was $ 3.50 for a sm/12 oz. They looked to have a pretty minimal food selection. A couple card baskets & coffee beans for sale, but no fun gift stuff/jewelry items for browsing. — SERVICE: Friendly & sincere. There were 3 ladies behind the counter, one mid 40s? one 16 – 20? and one clearly under 10 helping(stealing from) the sweets display case. Seemed more like a family-run operation. — SEATING: I didn’t stay to sit, but they had both 2 seater table & chair options in the front, as well as a couple black leather couches in the back. Overall, a good place to run in & out of for a neighborhood coffee fix!

Me and my main squeeze frequent this place. There is little that I love more than walking down the street, holding my handsome man’s hand, and settling into a couch at Sister’s Sludge with a coffee and Tony. The shop is cute and quaint. They have always had art for sale on the walls when I go. The employees have always been extremely nice. They welcome dogs, which is cool. The coffee is super rich, so be ready for that.
