I have been to this place a few times for my tacos and burritos fix. This is an average place regarding overall business quality and experience. This location was closed down for a while and reopened earlier this year for remodeling. If I was writing this review before the remodeling, I would be rating this place two stars. The only good things about the place were their food itself and the convenience. I was often so uncomfortable walking inside that I ordered«to go» most of the time. I am glad to say that there have been some noticeable improvements made since reopening; although, they still need more work to do before I can rate this place any higher. I hope that time will make this happen. The biggest improvement made is their cleanliness and order issue. The employees appear to have a better eye on keeping the lobby and their work area well organized. There still needs more improvements with their tables because of leftover food particles and trays left by previous customers, but I feel a little more comfortable walking inside than before. This business still needs to work on the customer service ratio. Right now, it is a hit and miss. It is hard to predict which end of the spectrum I will get, according to time and day. I have had best luck during the weekdays in the early evening time. Other times, I feel like I am inconveniencing the employees just by ordering there. The food did not need much improving because before the remodeling, it was already superb. The outstanding food quality remains the same, which is good. Usually, I order either the five-layer soft taco or the basic burrito with a beverage. The food is served to me hot and fresh, and they taste delicious. They are served to me in a reasonable amount of time. I have rarely had to wait an obscene amount of time for my food. When I am in the area and need a quick taco and burrito fix, I will likely try my best to continue going there during the weekday evenings. I hope that ownership and management reads this review and take into consideration what I have to say. Hopefully, this place continues to improve in the future.

Totally redesigned from the ground up, this quaint little Mexican eatery is known for it’s tacos, burritos, quesadillas, and nachos. The dining room is small but cozy, not quite intimate but good enough for a night out. The menu is full of variety, authentic Mexican cuisine as well as some new twists on old favorites round out a well played, well stacked sense of enjoyment. Whether it’s breakfast, lunch, dinner, or a late night out, this is the place to be. Open late, but don’t wait. They do close to get ready for another day of fulfillment.

Restaurant looks nice from the outside, but the inside is dated. Poor customer service and rude employee. My girlfriend and I came in starving after a long day of shopping and traveling. We both had to use the restroom BADLY. The bathrooms are locked until requested open and one employee(looked like the manager) wouldn’t let us use it until AFTER we purchased something. I get the fact that the restrooms are for customers, but for an employee to subliminally accuse us of potentially doing that is kind of insulting. Not to mention our food would arrive before we even got back from the restroom. She shouldn’t have treated paying customers like that. We barely ordered any food because we were not interested in supporting THAT Taco Bell. Needless to say, we will be going to other Taco Bell locations in the future, like the one off 494.

Talk about sketchy clientele. One in line trying to sell me bootleg movies while this other guy outside is taking off his belt, threatening to give someone a ‘beat down’.

I really wish they had a drive-through. The cashier was nice. There were straw wrappers, receipts, and napkins scattered around the floor and the metal salsa bins. It was at 1030PM and one of the customers took pictures of my Jordans with his phone. I was ready to accept that I might be leaving the restaurant without my shoes that night. My order came out correctly and in decent time. If I return, it will be in the daytime.

No drive-through, which gives me big sads because I’m anti-social. The food isn’t as good as other locations, and sometimes they skimp. And these other reviews are right– it can get a bit sketchy in here, clientele-wise. But my biggest gripe is that they can be unreasonably slow. There are usually about 4 people in the open kitchen, and no one seems to have any particular sense of urgency. If it’s just as convenient for you, hit the Lake &35 location instead. They are lightning fast with better food, and they have a drive-through.

Ahhh, Taco Bell. Great booze-soaking, stomach-tranquilizing, great-if-it’s-late craving-satisfying garbage. I’m glad I don’t live in Seward anymore because this is too easy and convenient. Yeah it draws a late-night crowd of people who may or may not be on something, but what would you expect from a Taco Bell? I’ve never had any real issues with this place; the 6-way intersection outside is more dangerous than the Seward neighborhood. This is one of the few Taco Bells in the area and it’s pretty helpful for a late-night binge. No drive-thru but that’s probably a good thing because people would probably be run over if there was one. Plus, there’s outdoor seating for the warmer days and nights. An unhealthy but useful stop, especially if you’re on foot on the way to the Franklin LRT station, or seeing a show at the Cabooze, etc.

I just have to admit it: I’m a total Taco Bell junkie. Call it a life-long love or an attempt to dip into the pool of sad, nostalgic fast food restaurant memories, but I love the Bell. I like it so much that I follow the Bell on Facebook, but that’s not the point. The point is this: it’s late(like, 12am — 2am late) and you’re hungry. You’ve also had approximately 2.5 beers and/or other adult beverages. You could probably walk to the grocery store and pick up some fixin’s for a quesadilla or nachos, but who wants to cook at a time like this? T-Bell is there to save the day. It’s quite possibly the perfect late-night not-in-the-mood-to-cook sort of food because it’s so obviously bad for you that it’s just plain old good. That being said, this particular location is kind of sketch; the intersection at Cedar/Franklin/Minnehaha can be scary and kind of dangerous whether you’re biking, driving or walking. The restaurant itself doesn’t seem terribly dirty, but then again, I’ve never actually gone to sit and eat in the dining room. Taco Bell is almost always the sort of place that you just go to get your food and leave. it kind of keeps it from getting ruined by appetite-ruining displays most commonly found in restaurants such as this.

I have lived across the street from this Taco Bell in a nearby apartment complex for approximately three years now, and as a [now former] college student, the proximity to a Taco Bell for those late night, post party cravings was invaluable. During the days, the cashiers I have encountered are always exceedingly friendly and seem to take pride in their work, not minding sharing a conversation with you about an unrelated topic, which I found really personal, given the in-and-out nature of the fast food industry. The service is typically very fast, though the quality of the food is a little underwhelming even when compared to other nearby Taco Bells(I can’t shake the feeling that the meat has a different flavor to it). I have never had a wrong order from this location, but my chief complaints lie in the fact that as the sun sets, the clientele become increasingly seedier and sketchier. The restaurant itself is located in the Seward neighborhood of South Minneapolis, blocks away from Augsburg College and the University of Minnesota. It is also home to one of the most diverse areas of the city, and the area tends to get a relatively bad reputation. This is relevant because I have seen fights nearly break out and felt uneasy on more than several occasions while satiating my cravings late at night. It is not a place I’d walk to alone, and there is no drive-thru window. Suffice to say, I have never eaten my meal in the dining room area at any point. In fact, around ten o’clock, they actually shut down the dining room area and it becomes pick-up/to-go service only. I suspect this is due to not wanting to risk having any problems arise by having people stay, especially that late. Overall, it’s conveniently located for nearby college students and stays open til one or two most every night. The intersection in the immediacy is one of the scariest, most confusing intersections I’ve ever had to navigate through, and there are near-accidents very frequently. I’d recommend patroning this location during the day, if you’re in the area, or if you have a late night craving… just bring a friend if you’re walking.

It was there picking up food for me and a friend. It was late at night… it’s Taco Bell. I don’t expect much and the food pretty much meets those expectations. As I watched them make my fresco bean burrito it seemed that first that made it regular fatty bean burrito style so to the trash it went. Then the worker dropped the next tortilla on the floor. I was really happy to see him throw that one away and grab another. Open kitchens are a good thing and, while I was sad to see food wasted, I thank the random taco bell worker for at least taking the time to get our order right. That’s more than I can say for many places.
