If you are an artist, do NOT consign here. Melissa wanted to have my work in her store very badly. I entered into a consignment contract with her and provided her with my handmade items, which she then sold. She then stopped replying to me and did not pay me until I got a lawyer involved. I never got all of the money she owed me. The Linden Tree is bad to local artists.

Such a perfect addition to linden hills. Melissa is extremely friendly and warm, she is amazing at teaching people how to make things on their own and the store has so many wonderful items to buy from local artists.

Such a sweet spot! They sell the cutest dresses, skirts, bags and baby things. Melissa will welcome you with open arms and can make just about anything and she will teach you how to make it if you want to learn!

I wandered into The Linden Tree while I was in the neighborhood cause it looked adorable, and it was a great find! The woman working (I’m nearly positive she was the owner) was beyond welcoming and friendly, but she didn’t hover over me either. The front of the store was filled with all kinds of cute things made by local artists, and the back was full of lovely fabric. The selection of fabric was well edited-​not too little but not a ton either. There were also some patterns and notions, and they offer sewing classes as well as one on one help. I will definitely be back!
