This place has great coffee and food, however their hours are so spotty that it’s hard to get there when they are open. If they had regular hours and were open to at least 7:00 I would give this place 5 stars.

I went here once years ago when a friend had his photography on display. It was cozy & inviting & seemed like a good place for the neighborhood. I can’t remember if I ordered anything, but I did sample the free goodies for the opening & they were delicious. I have no idea if they were prepared on-premises, though. Mostly this location looks like they give a shit. The Franklin/Nicollet location, however…

Too small and did not have a neighborhood feel at all. Compared to Minnehaha Coffee or Riverview Café, this place gets a 1 star.

I spent a lovely morning here the afternoon. We each ordered a latte, which was pretty good, not wowzers or anything, but far better than I typically get from my local Caribou. We both had muffins and they were ok, too. I really enjoyed the barista and the menu looked intriguing… especially their selection of PB sammies. They have 1 with jelly, 1 with Fluff(uh, YUM!), and one with PICKLES. Yep, that’s right peanut butter and pickles. Sounds disgusting, but I’m quite intrigued and may just have to give it a try sometime. There are other great looking items on the menu, like their grilled cheese and some breakfast foods. I’m occasionally floating around the area, so I’m sure I’ll be back… but if anyone wants to go give that PB and Pickle sandwich a try anytime, just let me know! I’ll be there!

I am surprised that this place isn’t listed on Unilocal yet! I’ve been here a few times now and like the feel of the place. I was turned off by reviews that I found through googlemaps that said this was a place for toddlers to play. Eek, I would not have liked it if there were a bunch of screaming kids. The way the place is set up, it would be difficult to get away from them if they were being loud. There was one toddler playing in the play area when I was there and it was fine. Has a number of tables, bar area and couches and also the corner area where the kids can play or read with an ample pile of toys and books. Mocha could have been much hotter and was heavy on the chocolate. Staff was friendly. Overheard a long conversation between a worker and the owner, the owner treats her employees with respect. The times that I have been here it has been really quiet, very few people. From my experience so far, it is a good place to work.
