Uptown Pawn

I just had a really nice experience with Uptown Pawn! After getting quotes on a gold necklace at 5 places, I came back here to sell it to them because they had the 2^nd best price. (The best price was only $ 5 more and a much further drive away) The nice guy at Uptown Pawn asked me if I wouldn’t mind sharing the other quotes I received at the other 4 places. When I told him, he said he would match the best price plus gave me an additional $ 5! He was a very pleasant guy and said he would just appreciate future business and asked me if I would give him a good online review. I am doing that because they certainly deserve it!

I have been here a few times to shop for some goods. This is especially a great place to shop for quick birthday or holiday shopping.
Like most other pawn shops, their prices are reasonable. The condition of everything is to be expected. However, there are signs that state their condition and if there is anything defective with the particular product.
The employees seem to have a good eye on keeping all of their goods organized. I am able to find everything without any problem. This is also small enough to make finding what I am looking for that much easier. However, I have come here and seen a lot of dust on some of the shelves and the merchandise. Such areas make me a little uncomfortable standing around.
The employees are friendly and helpful whenever I need it. They are not great at carrying a conversation even when slow, but that is not a big deal. Nonetheless, they seem eager to please their customers.
A big aspect of this place I do not like is their security. I understand having some of it around in case something happens. However, they go as far as making their customers buzz in before they can enter. I think this place would be much better if it was more open-​door like other businesses.
If I am in the area and need a quick shopping trip, I will continue to keep this place in mind. I feel like I can count on them to make sure I know what I am buying and having a good selection of what I may be looking for.

Wow. If I could give 0 stars, I likely would. I came in here trying to sell a vintage-​styled white gold ring with a diamond channel inset that I bought for $ 600, and they offered me $ 20. $ 20!?! No way. I could probably get more for selling my iPOD. I understand you have to make a profit, but wouldn’t you make more money off my interest payment with even a $ 60 loan than a $ 20 one? There’s no way you are going to sell this ring for under $ 100. Very disappointing after reading all of the rave reviews about how much they pay for gold. I don’t believe it. I would not recommend this place to anyone

Absolutely amazing! My wife and I got the run around at a number of the local «trusted jewelers» before we finally found Bobby and Michael at Uptown Pawn.
I had just about given up on finding somebody honest and helpful in the jewelry business so I was totally shocked at how well we were treated at Uptown Pawn. The diamonds they found for us were absolutely amazing and the prices were incredible.
We would highly recommend them and I’m sure we’ll be back!
