I come here for the pharmacy because it is the closest one to my house. Yesterday I had to wait over half an hour to get my prescription. There were five people in line with only one person helping at the counter. I could see at least 4 more people in back and was curious if they would ever open another counter. Eventually another person came to help after I had been in line waiting for over 15 minutes. I asked for prescription and then was told it would be a 5 minute wait to get it ready. Ended up being at least 15 minutes and when I went to pick it up the worker was not friendly and looked annoyed.

I think this is a solid Walgreens in the Whittier neighborhood. Things I like: +It’s very clean inside. For example, the times I’ve been there, the floors showed my reflection. Or, maybe it was really wet. I dunno. lol. +The staff there are very friendly and sometimes call me «honey.» Shoutout to the lady at the cash register. +Whether you speak Spanish, Somali or English, there’s a Walgreens staff member there that can assist you. I love that. +Like Eric said, there’s an outdoor Redbox. That’s great for after hours. If I lived near there, I would visit often. It’s a great place to everything you need, especially chocolate. Almost everyone loves chocolate.

I have been here many times. Since it is only two blocks from my apartment, and I pass it on my way home from work, I will often stop in if there are a couple items I need, or there is something on sale that I use. The customers and staff are always majority Somali, and some of the signs are bilingual English/Somali. That’s the beauty of life in Lyndale. When I first started shopping here, the store seemed quite ghetto, but it seems to improved quite a bit in the past month or so. The staff are always friendly and helpful. And, it is nice that they have an outdoor Redbox, so you can get your cheap movie rental fix 24⁄7.
