Yelpy Hour Party UYE: Howl at the Moon

Special K just got a little spe​cial​.er.
What’s not to love? Free admission, $ 1 drinks, and free buffet. Did we just get southern in minnesota?
Really well designed event! Even thought we didn’t get to stay for very long, we got a few songs to sing to and they did a swell job working the crowd. The buffet was fairly standard but filling and tasty. Drinks were standard but $ 1 makes them über delicious.

I had a great time meeting other Unilocalers. I didn’t know Kohleen won the contest and decided to have us Unilocalers attended her party. That was really nice of her! She is actually really fun and cool :) The first two drinks were $ 1 and ½ off till 8pm. Buffet style: veggies, fruits, and taco! I def had the greatest time and thank you again for the happy hour Kohleen.

Do you guys know that she won their free cover contest and decided to share it all with us? That’s love, guys. Typically, you pay an $ 8 cover and that includes the free appetizer buffet, two $ 1 drink tickets and the entertainment, of course.
This was my first time at Howl at the Moon and I was pleased with the service (especially the manager, who seemed so nice!) and maybe even more pleased with all the fresh pineapple on the appetizer buffet.
A list of highlights of the short time I was there:
–Chatting it up with the other early bird Unilocalers about how much we love making lists (seriously, that happened)
–Meeting some fun Targeteers, brand new to Minneapolis
–Discovering that Ryan P actually ordered the Mountain Dew flavored vodka that I was making fun of the whole time
–Revealing the secret of how to get yourself featured in the Weekly Unilocal to Jess L
–Yelp getting a stage shout out just as I was leaving.
Thanks again, Kohleen! I only wish I could’ve stayed longer, but hopefully there’ll be many more Unilocaly Hours ahead that I can close down with you all!

Take a bow Kohleen! The event was truly l-​e-​g-​e-​n-​d-​a-​r-​y and you were a great host.
The location was perfect, may be because I got curbside parking right outside of Howl at the Moon. The drinks, especially, the house margaritas were awesome. The food buffet was exceptionally good, given the fact that I am a vegetarian and the fruit and tortillas looked delicious tonight. The cookies and brownies were a huge hit too the way they were flying off the table.
I had a really good time at the event, although I should have reached there early to meet most of the Unilocal gang.
Once again, Kohleen, I appreciate the effort and all the planning that went in to make this event super successful. May you organize many more events in the future.

Madame Kohleen did a great job hosting this ever-​so-​Yelpy event. It was a great deal considering the cover charge is usually $ 8 and the piano show was a lot of fun.
I even got to try the Mountain Dew flavored Vodka made by Three Olives called «Dude». And dude, let me tell you, it was pretty good.
