There is not much on I-39 between Bloomington Il and Peru Il and we wanted to drive a bit north of Bloomington before a storm was hitting. The Motel6 is the only place to stay in Minonk I’ll. IT is clean, has a working ice machine and the small modern looking room reminded us of a room we had in Lucerne Switzerland. Greatest benefit of this Sunday night was that they have Dish TV and We were able to watch 2 favorite shows, MadMen and Game of Thrones

If you’re looking for a cheap, clean and safe motel this is the one for you in this area. Its about 30 miles from starved rock and one of the lowest priced options in the area. The room floors are wood which is unique since most motel rooms have carpet. Has full set of cable channels including hd, mini refrigerator and microwave.
Only cons are no coffee maker in room or complimentary breakfast.
But the room was $ 50 and nicer than some places. I’ve stayed. for more. I. totally recommend. this!
