I had the Rebel Wrap. It is chicken fingers with bbq sauce and slaw in a wrap. It was very good. The fries are fantastic. Glad I added them. I also had a bowl of vegetable soup which was hearty and flavorful. I would recommend this place if you are passing by. Lunch was a reasonable $ 8. They have $ 6 lunch ape ials every weekday from 11 – 2.

I must say that when i was reccommended a «Family» restaurant for dinner, I was suspect… but I was very impressed by the chicken noodle soup and even more satisfied by the stuffed tortellinis with alfredo sauce. Service was very good!!! A truck stop with SUPERB food!!!

My husband seeks out places like Woody’s and he drags me to them when we are«out in the country.» Places like this serve rural America well. Does Chicago have a place like Woody’s that offers a Hillbilly Omelette, Chicken Critters, or Juanita Fajitas? Nope! At lunch I like to order off the HOT and READY menu and wink at the waiter when I say it. Place is clean enough and they have a menu that never ends and includes my diner favs of liver and onions, country fried steak, and a chicken sammie that the menu promises will satisfy the hungiest of cowpokes. WTH is a cowpoke? They also have some sort of a buffet option with broasted chicken that looked like perfect hangover food to me. So yea, I give Woody’s 4 stars for keeping it real in Minonk country!

Nice family-style restaurant along I-39 where you can get a decent bite to eat that isn’t fast-food, although they bring the order out pretty quickly… Nice FULL size menu with something for everyone. Soups, salad bar, bakery(fresh baked muffins) as well. Noticed a sign to try their Saturday & Sunday breakfast buffet from 8 – 11 adults $ 8.50. They’ve got soft serve ice cream as well, though I didn’t try it. The service is friendly, the food is pretty good. I had a late lunch today of grilled ham & cheese, homemade soup of the day, and fries(the fries come extra) & a nice cold lemonade. The order came out quickly… Now I’ve eaten at two Woody’s locations, the other location I’ve been to was in El Paso, IL(same owner, same menu). You REALLY can’t go wrong eating here, and I’ll definitely come again when I’m hungry and in the area.

This place makes Waffle House or Huddle House look like a gourmet restaurant. Worst steak & eggs I’ve ever had, seasoning makes the«steak» taste so much worse. Looks like a nice family/home cook restaurant but that’s until you taste the food. WoW!!!

Woody’s III, as the sign says, is actually the second restaurant of its kind in the state. The other one is on I-74 somewhere. The baby and I stopped here for breakfast, and it can be summarized thusly: perfectly average truck stop food. I got her some French toast, while I had the omelette with hash browns and a coffee. The coffee did its job; now I’m awake! The omelette was sort of lazy; 3 eggs, onions, broccoli, green peppers and tomatoes, mixed together with a slice of cheese on top. The veggies were soft but otherwise the texture was off. No complaints about the toast however. I would’ve liked the hash browns seasoned. Overall not a bad place to be; it’s a good representation of what’s out here on the highways.
