Live music next to a beautiful public beach nearby a place that serves up a decent latte? I’m in! And now so are you! Camille’s Sidewalk Café — not to be confused with the restaurant located separately next door — is just what you’d expect to find at a casual beach corner coffee café. Odds and ends of interesting breakfast and lunch foods — an array of hot and cold teas to choose from — and someone who knows how to make a latte. Seats outside filled with local patrons who know better, and sand in your toes across the street. I’ve been twice, and I’ll visit again — likely in the middle of my run. Cheers!

Myself, my sister, and my boyfriend ate a few times at Camille’s sidewalk café this past week. The café is attached to the Beachside Inn(where we stayed) and is downstairs from the proper restaurant. The service was always so nice. The servers were local kids, very laid-back and funny. They had good tips for restaurants and places to go. The food was solid, cheap, beach eats. We had a few sandwiches which were all solid choices. The juices were good, but a little expensive for the tiny cup they came in. They had a variety of choices though, so there is definitely something for everyone. We will for sure stop at the café the next time we’re at the beach.

Stopped here on our last day in Destin before hitting the beach. I had the avocado toast and a cold brew coffee. The toast was pretty much the best thing I’ve ever tasted. The café was super hip and staff was incredibly friendly! I only wished I was staying longer to grab another toast. They put an entire avocado on a piece of warm toast. The prices are $ 5 — $ 10 and food is made fresh. For coffee with milk drinkers they have a variety of milk including almond milk– my personal favorite which is always a plus!

It’s convenient being located in our neighborhood, but the food is just average. You could toast a bagel at home and put some bacon and scrambled egg on it and get the exact same thing. I had a bottled juice, and again could get that at home, or carry it to the beach and save half or more the cost. I’m not into coffee or mochas, lattes, etc. Maybe if I were I’d give it an extra star.
