Beautiful view of the Gulf, good service, supermarket-grade sushi. We visited the Royal Palm Grille on the recommendation of our resort’s concierge with the promise of great sushi. Unfortunately the sushi tasted less than fresh and had a ton of sauce which may have been used to cover the taste. Happy hour was good for 2-for-1 drafts if you like Yuengling and the most common domestic beers.

Let me start by saying they have AMAZING sushi! I got the RPG roll and it was probably the best sushi roll I’ve ever had. The sushi chef even came out once we were finished and asked how the sushi was. Now on to the rest — We sat down, I ordered a glass of moscato. After about 10 minutes the waitress comes back and says«sorry for the wait. My bartender had to go get the wine from the other room. He’s pouring it now. I’ll be right back with it. « Okay no problem. Another ten minutes go by and she comes back«actually we don’t have moscato. Is Riesling okay?» I reply with«yes that’s fine no problem!» 8 – 10 minutes pass and she finally comes back with wine and says«sorry we had to go get that from the other room.» Yes, that’s 30 minutes for a glass of wine. I was sure he was crushing the grapes with his feet. But the wine was good, so I said nothing. About 10 minutes into the wine escapade, we order dinner. My order — RPG roll and a ginger house salad My boyfriend — California roll and a chicken Caesar salad Sushi comes out in decent time and we both love our rolls. My salad comes out about 10 minutes after our rolls are done but I decide to wait on my boyfriend to get his salad before I eat. His chicken Caesar salad takes 36 minutes to make. There are 3 other tables in the restaurant. 2 of which have already eaten and the third has not even ordered yet. Not once does she apologize for the slow service. We understand it was not her fault, but at least pretend you give a damn. With that being said, the salads were fresh and tasted great. Good food, slow service which appears to be the same complaint they’ve received in the past. I want this place to succeed, I really do!

We had a fabulous meal here tonight! The sushi was very fresh and delicious. Tons of roll choices. The grouper special was excellent, served over orzo with capers and artichoke. Fish tacos were great. Ordered them blackened… Our waitress, Susan, was very helpful and delightful. Will definitely be back!

We had the royal Palms and a crunchy roles which were great. The Miso soup seemed to be out of a packet. I ordered their«special» Mojito, and received a drink with no muddled mint, strawberry, or ginger beer, it was just Rum and simple syrup. The wings are the worst ever. Garlic Parmesan taste like regular wings with extra oil, with no garlic or Parmesan flavor. The hot wings are bland with little to no sauce. The beef and mushroom flat bread pizza dough is bland and the sauce is just tomato paste!!! The staff is friendly but the food is low quality bar food. This place is convenient when staying at the resort and would only be for a last option.

The service needs to improve to be considered bad. Food was ok but waiter tried to pass off a cheap bottle of wine as a good bottle. We ordered a simple Kendall Jackson Chardonnay. First said had to get from another cooler. My wife asked to see label as it had a screw cap and we knew it should have a cork. He poured quickly never showing label to my wife. Once he set bottle down it said Kenwood. We called waiter back and he said okay. Then returned said we don’t have any Kendall Jackson do you want to keep this bottle. We said no so he asked if we wanted him to dump the wine he poured. We said no. The sauce for the fish definitely was not a reduced sauce tasted more like a package sauce. We did wonder why we were only customers when we got there and they said huge football crowd had just left.

We recently spent a week in Miramar Beach and ate at the Royal Palm Grill multiple times. The food was excellent, the service was Quick and courteous and prices were moderate. The sushi is particularly tasty and beautiful, We tried several menu items and enjoyed all of them. We recommend that you visit Royal Palm Grill if you are in Destin area. Btw — The owners also run a wedding venue on the beach and cater weddings.

Food was great. Service was great. Susan was our server for a party of 13 with 5 kids and she did a phenomenal job keeping up with refills, food orders, sushi, etc. The manager came to our table and gave us all sorts of tips for things to do in the area. Did I mention the great view!!!

Food was 5 stars once you got it. Service was very slow… but they made up for it nearly… with free dessert. Should have given us the spider roll for free though. Since we had to take it to go. Views were nice! Was way to cold and loud. However, go just for the sushi and key lime pie because it was outstanding but don’t be in a hurry.

New restaurant just opened and since I live down the street, couldn’t wait to try it. They have a full sushi bar for lunch and dinner, so I had to try a roll. I had the Spider Roll topped with Krab Salad and it was awesome! Very tasty. We also had a club sandwich and a fried grouper sandwich at our table. The club was delicious, on a toasted sourdough roll. The fried grouper sandwich was breaded in cornmeal which is an interesting choice for that type of fish, and it needed a bit more seasoning. However they ate it all with no complaints. We had great and attentive service from the bartender who wasn’t used to serving, but he did great. I also thought the pricing was very fair for lunch, around $ 10/meal. The view is awesome and we will definitely be back for dinner or happy hour sometime soon!

I’m very happy that they finally remodeled the place, the Royal Palm is excellent. We had great sushi and drinks during happy hour which is very reasonable. We took a walk and returned to dinner which was also fantastic. Great fish tacos and Fried oysters. Our bartender Lindsey was fantastic! I highly recommend you stop by for a drink or a bite. Please market this great place better! It needs more signage out front with easier access and some more color in the entry way and restaurant.

We made reservations through open table. We had great spot mere window. We enjoyed several signature rolls. ROG and volcano roll. Both had great flavor. The kids hotdog was very good and large enough for two kids. Mother did not like the grilled chicken salad. Good presentation but would been better if chicken was chicken breast and not chunks. Would come back for sushi.

This is a hidden gem. I’ve been going to Destin for years and discovered this new fabulous restaurant! We went there on our first night of vacation, Sandy served us. She was delightful! We ordered deviled eggs and oyster Rockefeller for appetizers, both were absolutely delicious! For our entrees we ordered 4 different sushi rolls. Everyone was very pleased, the fish was very fresh! If you aren’t into sushi they have plenty of other options(pizza, pasta, sandwiches, ect.) we had such a wonder experience we had to go back our last night! The second time we had Bec as our server. She was just as wonderful! Overall unique restaurant, great atmosphere, and fantastic service. I highly recommend.

While I usually trust great reviews, these failed me miserably. Wandering through a filthy old hotel to find this place should’ve been my first clue. Felt like employee-only halls we wandered through forever. Dirty. The food was terrible. Oysters Rockefeller appetizer arrived watery & looked like it was covered in moss. Pecan encrusted grouper was covered in an awful creole type gravy that ruined the whole taste of fish. Cheese pizza was straight from freezer & tasted like the school cafeteria variety. Sushi arrived about the time most of us were finishing up our meals. While we would normally never eat until the entire table was served, food was getting cold so we reluctantly ate while feeling bad for the 3 who got sushi. Waitress was friendly but extremely slow and hard to track down. I would never recommend & in fact would strongly suggest you not waste your money here.

My family had a very disappointing meal here. We were initially seated at a nice table by the window, but we were then told we needed to move to a different table. The food itself was not great. Skip the calamari — you will basically get a plate of fries with a few pieces of calamari. We did not enjoy the gumbo either. My husband ordered the French dip sandwich, and my kids and I ordered sushi. He received his sandwich and finished eating– at which point, we inquired about our sushi for the second time and we were told the sushi chef had not even started making our order because he was backed up. We canceled our sushi order and decided to leave. The manager was very apologetic and kind; she did did care of our bill. However, we won’t be returning. Atmosphere was kinda weird too!

I’ve dined here 2 days in a row and it is now my favorite vacation restaurant of all time. Arnel, the Sushi Chef, introduced me to The Wild Tom Roll… AWESOME! Customer service is OUTSTANDING and the staff makes you feel like family. Going back for dinner tonight… again…just cant get enough.

The food is excellent, the view is unbelievable and happy hour is indeed happy. We parked along the beach and walked up, but they do have a garage. Every seat has a view of the ocean, a quality most restaurants strive for but rarely acheive. I highly recommend it.
