This is what I would call a hole in the wall spot lol… reminded me of being in the islands… and was welcomed upon entering the restaurant… food was pretty good… had the beef and chicken Roti… and washed it down with an ice cold Heineken… if your looking for a fancy spot this isn’t the place for you… but if you want some good Roti you must check this hole in wall spot out…

Ok first off Naz is the best and her service is by far the best. Now most of these bad reviews are from people who are obviously not Trinidadian and have never been there before so they have no clue as to what to expect. If you don’t know ask she is pleasant and accommodating enough to explain. Despite this being my first check in I have been here multiple times before and been a customer for as long as I been living in Florida. So just so you know like most island restaurants sometimes she is busy but you can call in your order ahead if necessary and her food is always fresh she doesn’t microwave anything. People need to understand when you put hot food in wax paper the steam creates moisture there and in the paper bag. Also traditional chicken roti has bones in the meat lmao. If you want boneless or the meat on the side ask or get the buss up shot. But the environment is friendly as most island come here and very inviting as she treats you as family. I recommend anyone to go visit her and support her business. Oh and she isn’t paying me to say this but I love to support small business people who take pride in there craft and put there heart and soul into it and you can see that from how she treats her customers. Keep up the good work Naz!

By far, the best Roti I’ve had. I have had roti at two other places, so I have a basis for comparison. My favorite: goat roti. I have also tasted the chicken roti, but I often opt for goat because it is not that easy to find. The doubles are absolutely delicious and highly recommended. In summary, big portions, very flavorful, and friendly service.

Haven never eaten roti before, I probably wouldn’t care to have it again after this experience. The hubby cautioned me not to be so rash though. It could be far better.

Naz Roti Palace is the closest that’ll you’ll get to Trinbagonian cuisine in SOFLA. I love the atmosphere: which includes the loud drunkard ordering another Carib beer, cricket match on the tv and soca chutney music blasting from the speakers. Best buss-up-shot roti… hands down!!! My spot whenever I’m craving home!!!

This business is now a Jamaican style restaurant renamed Cheryls. There is no roti or other Trinidadian food on the menu. They do have a keep and call allow though! I left without eating as I was after roti so I cannot comment on the food.

BESTROTI I’VEHADINSOUTHFLORIDA! Naz is located in an exceptionally run down strip mall with a parking lot full of potholes. But please don’t let the outward appearance keep you from the absolute BEST roti in town! The inside is plain and clean and you’ll almost always find a cricket or soccer match showing on the TV. I’ve been eating here for the past 8 years or so and have NEVER been disappointed in the food or service. No matter what time of day or night you get there, Patricia is always ready with a smile. One day a customer came in determined to try Trini food for the first time. But bless his heart, he’d never had curry or even heard of roti before. Patricia took the time to explain the foods and make recommendations. Good luck getting that type of attention at Joy’s…LOL Naz’s roti is soft, flavorful and fiiling. The curry and chicken is always perfectly seasoned and the pepper is just right. Whenever my son visits from out of town, he orders the shrimp roti. He swears it’s the best around. And don’t get me started on the buss up shot! Best I’ve had outside of Trinidad, no lie. They are also one of the few roti shops down here that actually have mango to go with your food! Naz is the only place I go when friends and family across the country ask me to send roti skins for them My only complaint is the almost 40 minutes it takes to get there. That’s the only reason I don’t go as often as I would like. But I’ll be there this Saturday cuz I’m having withdrawals. :-)

A little hidden gem in the neighborhood with lots of flavor. Daily specials at a great price! Staff is really friendly and helpful. Go for the Double or Alloo pies with the mango sauce. Veggy friendly and the sauces are definitely homemade.

Didn’t want to go ALL the way to Joy’s so stopped here for doubles and a duck dhalpurie. This is one of the worst places I’ve ever eaten Trini food. The doubles was like two pieces of fry bake and tasteless. The dhalpurie was thick and rubbery and tasteless, the duck had this long water runny sauce and was tasteless. I don’t even think they gave me duck, it looked and tasted like chicken. NEVEREVEREVERWILL I GOBACKHERE. I will make the drive to Joys in Lauderhill.

I searched for a roti shop and Joy’s was too far away. But Naz really hit the spot! I got a curry Buss up and doubles! I will say I was pleased with it all. Took me forever to eat, but loved it all. One downer, the doubles were greasy. But I ate them same way :)

Stay away if you’re namby pamby! The roti WILL have bones in it(like most real ones), you might hear some loud soca and arguing. Heck, there might even be a scrap right outside lol. But the roti is yummy, the beers are cold, the place is genuinely West Indian, and the owner is the nicest, sweetest person you’ll meet.

OVERALLRATING0.0STARS This is my first time patronizing Naz Roti. I came here to try the roti’s based upon the reviews. I ordered one chicken roti $ 7.00 and a side of Pumpkin $ 2.50 to go. After I unwrapped the Chicken roti I realized it was microwaved as the bottom of the roti was soggy from water. The lady who took and gave me my order did not inform me the roti came with boned chicken, I assumed it was boneless as there was no option for bonesless on the menu. While eating the roti I had a small sharp bone fragment slither down my throat painfully. I had to drink about two large cups of water to force it down out of my throat. I was scared to hell of having to call 911 if it got stuck and I had problems breathing, luckily that did not happen. Other than that I was wrestling with bones and ligaments throughout the eating experience. The roti had a strong pleasant curry aroma. But it lacked flavor, was kind of bland and it was missing the spicy kick, but it was edible if hungry. I ate 90% of the roti, but the result was an all night experience of indigestion as I was bloated and in extreme discomfort all night, on a saturday night I might add. RATING1.0 The pumpkin was dry tasteless and tough in texture, I threw it in the garbage after two half spoon fulls. RATING0.0 I have been eating rotis for years in Canada and the US. This was by far the worst roti experience of my life. *NOTES –the roti is huge. –the girl who took my order was pleasant.

I’ve been to 3 Roti places in the area. This is closest to where i live. I’ve been here numerous times and the owner is always really nice. I usually like LC’s but it’s been a while so my go to spot has been Naz’s. It has never let me down. I always have the veggie one and it is so hearty it will last me almost 3 days sometimes. I recently also introduced two of my friends to it and they are hooked. One loves the chicken roti and the other just loves the lamb. They both give it a thumbs up. We also tried another Roti place in Miami and it was not as good as Naz’s and got barely half of what Naz gives you for around the same price. The place is small and is one of those places you might consider a «hole in the wall» but I have found sometimes those are the best. Also the mango salso they make is amazing. I love having it with my roti. I’d try it out if you want something different, it’s worth a shot if you are in the area.

Roti was big. Rheallll big. Curry was good. I couldn’t even eat half of mine, because it was so big. But I prefer the roti down south. I had the beef roti; the roti skin(imo) needed to be a little more flaky and lighter(if that makes any sense). Doh get me wrong … it hit the lunch time spot, but I’ve just had better is all. But this was my first time, so maybe I caught them on an off day. But there was plenty of choices, in both food AND drink. And the staff were superbly pleasant and helpful. Very clean place, great service, and food was brought out in a timely manner. … so 4 stars for such a great little gem; hopefully next time my roti is better though!

This place is straight outta a Roti Shop in the streets of St. James, Trinidad! Especially if you go on a Saturday afternoon… the people will be limin having a beer(or 7), soca music will be playin nice and loud, and the curry roti will be eaten! The buss up shot roti is my FAVE! So soft and warm, and makes the perfect utensil for picking up my chicken curry. The shrimp curry is also very good. What I can appreciate is that the meat is actually seasoned IN the curry. It’s not just some bland meat dropped in a pot of curry sauce. This really makes the difference in great curry. You can also go here to by tickets for many of the Caribbean shows and fetes in the Miami area(cash only for tickets). Word to the non-Trinis: don’t ask for a fork to eat your curry and roti! If your fingers aren’t yellow after you’ve finished your food, you didn’t eat it properly! More words to the non-Trinis: don’t come in a rush or expect your food to be rushed. That’s just not West Indians move. Haste is not our specialty, but the food is very much worth the wait. Or, call in your order to go if you really are in a hurry.

Finally, a good roti in South Florida! This unassuming restaurant in a shopping plaza is a family owned Trinidadian spot. They have all the basic Trini food including roti, doubles, curries, and even some snacks like chana and sweet red mango. What I really appreciated about Naz was that they have an assortment of veggies for the veggie roti. I ordered a roti with chana, spinach, and pumpkin. So far the other places I have been only offer chana and potato for vegetarians. That doesn’t make a great roti to me. The food took a little while longer than I expected to come out of the kitchen, but once I started eating I realized it was worth the wait. The roti skin tasted fresh. It was soft, hot, and had a nice texture and flavor. The veggies inside were well seasoned and there was a good amount of all three inside. The spice was good too — a little on the hot side. So, if you don’t like spicy, ask them to make it mild. I’m looking forward to returning for another roti and the try out the doubles.
