Nedderman’s Steak Place

It can be pricey, but worth it. The first time I had it was at the 4H fair. Now they have a location on Grape road. Make sure your taking it home if it’s cold out. Outside seating is all they offer.

Good stuff! Drive through quick service. Not much verity but the best flavors possible. Which they would build one in elkhart

I feel like the little kid who can’t see the emperor’s new clothes, but, here we go anyway…
I’ve lived in this area off and on for 15 years– I’ve driven past this place hundreds, if not thousands of times. My spidey-​sense always told me «that place CAN’T be all that great», «it looks like a carnival food stand».
Today the weather was beautiful, I was in a good mood and I finally stopped at Nedderman’s.
I decided to eat at the picnic table– I walked up to the window and the girl took my order.
I got the large steak tips sandwich with green beans and mashed red potatoes with a Coke. She «suggested-​sold» me some mushrooms for $ 1 extra and some A-​1 sauce for .50 more cents.
As I waited for my food I could hear the drive-​thru orders being placed and people were being asked how they wanted their steak tips cooked– I was not asked what temperature I wanted for my tips, and since this was my first time here it did not even occur to me to request a certain doneness.
I received my food in about 10 minutes and I did not get the A-​1 sauce for which I had paid extra.
I walked back to the window and got my sauce. I also asked about the side of mushrooms I bought and I was told they were on the sandwich under the meat. I looked and saw the mushrooms under the meat — large, un-​cut, whole mushrooms that took up a lot of space– where maybe the rest of my steak should have been? I expected the mushrooms to be on the side and I would add them to my sandwich as I saw fit.
The steak was bland. Not horribly tough, but not melt-​in-​your-​mouth tender either. The only salt and pepper available was ONE each of those tiny little packets that you get at McDonalds or Burger King that was included in my plastic wrapped fork-​napkin-​salt-​pepper kit. The potatoes were unremarkable to borderline disappointing, the green beans were beans.
I need to repeat this– THE FOOD WAS BLAND, UNREMARKABLE AND UNSATISFYING!
And it was not cheap!, $ 13.35 for a steak-​tip sandwich! For just a couple dollars more I could have gone to a real steak house and gotten a REAL steak dinner with table service, unlimited salt and pepper and no flies!
The place always seems busy, and they were busy during my visit! But, I have no reason to lie– if the food were good I would be shouting it from the rooftops. I am always excited to find a new, GOOD restaurant. Didn’t happen today.
As I said in the beginning I feel like the little kid who can’t see the emperor’s new clothes– well, we all know the moral to that story.

So this is my first time here. I gotta tell ya hands down this was very good! I got the combo. Came with sandwich, green beans, red skin potatoes and a small drink. All for $ 6.99. So this was about a $ 1 more than say other popular fast food combo meals. And it is so much better. Green beans were a little soft, but I like mine fresh and a little firmer. But they were still good. Make sure you’re stopped when eating as it is a little messy.

These were, without a doubt, the best sirloin tips I’ve ever had. Great seasoning and very moist, not dried out at all.
The green beans were perfect. Not mushy, but not too hard either.
Lastly, the red potatoes!!! Just a perfect amount of garlic and bitter,
Can’t wait to go back again!

Meat awesomeness is what it’s called!!! Green beans need some work, but could be just as amazing. Oh what a great shaved sandwich and steak tips!

I love the large steak dinner with onions, potatoes and green beans. no mushrooms .its mouth watering. i wish i had the recipe. They only cook the steak to medium so be careful in case you cannot tolerate pink meat. About $ 11 for the large dinner

Great food I just wish they were located closer to me, I’m tired of driving two miles for that delicious food. You should order the large though, I didn’t really feel full on the regular.

Mouth watering steak bites potatoes mushrooms. yum. Totally passed by it multiple times and when I finally tried it with my girls we all fell in love. Total steak lover family.

You can always count on Nedderman’s Steak Place
for a delicious meal every time. I have eaten there dozens of times. My favorites are the Steak Dinner with Red Bliss Potatoes, Sauteed Onions, Mushrooms & Green Peppers
And The Steak Sandwich is just as delicious !

I was pleasantly surprised after ordering from this place. I chose the regular steak dinner. The potatoes and meat had a great flavor, and, for the most part, the meat was pretty tender. I would definitely try the sandwich next time.

Awesome place, the craiger was a great value. Get double potato instead of beans, they are outstanding.
