Best Philly in town. Definitely get the hard roll. It was a little hot in the store due to an old AC unit. But I was there for the food.

Delicious sandwiches. Super cute little shop. It’s definitely worth the pricing. I have to stop there every time I’m in the area! :)

Asked him what’s good said Italian cold cut sounds good. Got that when u make any sandwich u gotta put work into it especially when I get there and his counting money then makes my sandwich with does dirty hands that he was counting money and made my sandwich in less then a minute never will return back. Only good thing was the pickles

I do love subs, and my wife and I were hungry and it was Sunday so Defranko’s was closed, so we saw this place and decided to give it a try. It was alright, but nothing too special for the price, and likely would not go again. It is a strange little place with a deli counter and some tables, but not much else, and though clean, not well lit. I got the Pepper Steak on soft bread with everything(onions, tomatoes and pickles). The meat was the best part, tasty and not oily, but the sandwich needed something else. Kelly got a turkey with mustard and it was much the same, not bad, but nothing special. They also have a hard bread which we didn’t try and should have. OK, with a small selection of chips, and they were out of some of the soda in the soda fountain, and the place seemed a little sketchy. With strange parking in back, and not well lit, though it was clean. Might be OK for a Sunday since DeFranko’s is closed, but any other day I would hit the perfection that is DeFranko’s.

This is one of the last greatest sandwich shops. I would eat here over Quiznos or Subway any day. Each sandwich is loaded with meat and minimal condiments. Unlike a corp sandwich shop they use that scale which is annoying bc I feel it’s cheap, also they Lias it up with every condiment possible over meat. I grew up in NY where when u go to order a sandwich the server just grabs a bunch of meat and tosses it on there. This is how M&T does it. Also even though I come in like a once a month they still remember me and always ask about my family. I used to be a local regular when I lived in GH but now live in Santa Clarita.

Awesome cold sandwiches, don’t like that they don’t wear gloves to prepare the subs. Prices recently went up, so WOW! $ 12 bucks a large. Owner needs to have the place cleaned and hire some real employee. Not sure ill come back.

Pros: Matt and Tony’s signature toppings, hot and cold sandwich selections, soft bread, deli meat quality, family owned. Cons: high prices, hard bread not what I expected, chips and soft drink selection was lacking(on day of my visit).

Rolled in for lunch and ordered a Philly Steak Sandwich… It was delicious! But I must say I didn’t appreciate the dirty floors and the owner’s kid sitting there with his phone blaring to some video. I was hoping to sit and enjoy my sandwich but that clearly wasn’t gonna happen. I also didn’t appreciate the arguing and cussing of the employees, to top it off there was no potato salad …because«she hasn’t made it yet» WTH? It’s 3 o’clock in the afternoon! If you want your business to survive, you must step up your customer service, professionalism and cleanliness!

Been going to matt & tony’s for 35 years an always my favorite, but for tbe past 5 or so years I have it has changed(I tbink there was a change in owners) I have not bwen back in the last few years but decided to go again tonight and it was not good(they said they did not have enough roast beef and we saw it was in a store bought plastic container) my hot pastrami had no flavor and I said xtra toppings and there were barly any, then they had a pic of the(i think it was the father, he made the hot sandwiches) no disrespect but everytime I look up I see this memorial and made me depressed, so no I will never go here again and it is sad to see such a great sandwich place with so much history be run into tje ground. Oh and the prices are a reflection of them trying to recap their losses. If you want a great sandwich there is still the great defranko’s subs off of woodly and satacoy.

Just tried this place for the first time today! It was pretty awesome! I had the hot pastrami sandwich and was totally pleased! LOTS of meat, little mustard, little bit of pickles, and it was tasty! I was going to take it home and found myself devouring it in my car! Lucy prepared my sandwich, and she was so sweet and even offered me a sample of the pastrami before I bought the sandwich! Will be coming back for sure. :) Some of the people rating this place are just plain rude assholes… Especially the jerk who said they are not Italian, and cant even spell correctly, like PASS instead of PAST like I think he meant. Streets like Woodley instead of Woodly. Honestly, go back to school dude, how can anyone take your review seriously when you cant even spell things correctly. That said, both the guy and the girl behind the counter were super nice to me, and gave me such a great sandwich. Sorry to see some bad reviews here when I had a great experience… ugh…

This place is good, simple and to the point. We usual always order a sub for the Super Bowl. This is NOT subway. This is old school and HEARTY! Turkey and cheese is my fav, followed closely by the cold sub w. All the fixings.

Parking in the back and shared between other businesses(limited) Small inside with a handful of tables They give you the option of soft or hard bread which is nice for you picky folks Friendly and quick service Food I got the small Italian Cold Cut special which came with a small drink for $ 7. The meat wasn’t bad but I was honestly expecting more in quantity, quality, and verity. .. ehem mortadella. I did really enjoy their onions and pickles, both of which added a nice flavor to the sandwich Overall I’ve had better… Tip Now accepting card with ID
