Great hole in the wall! I ordered a spicy tuna roll as well as a shrimp tempura roll and both were delicious. The food was fresh and tasty for such a great price and their friendly service made my day!
10⁄10 would recommend and I do plan on coming back

This place was super good! The sushi was fresh. This place is very cheap and affordable and the food was up to par. The sushi rolls and the teriyaki was to my delight. Friendly workers and great customer service

This place was awesome for the price. Maybe even awesome compared to some higher priced places. Had #74 with salmon. Came with 4 pcs of sushi, I asked for all salmon, no problem. no extra charge. Fish was fresh and tasty. Baked salmon with eel sauce was really good too. California roll — really good. Friendly service and great value. Only bummer is why her eat in or take out they give you throw away styrofoam containers.

I love Hayashi, it’s definitely the best Japanese place in the area. Japanese food run by Japanese people at very affordable prices. I got their poke bowl, which was delicious and not too overdressed. My husband got one of their bento boxes which includes miso soup, salad, rice and your choice of two proteins (he got terriyaki chicken and tuna crunch roll). Really good sized portions too. The ramen was okay… it’s instant.
The owners also seem to know their customers, greeting a few of them by name! It was a nice, personable touch. I recommend and will be returning.

This is a local place where people who work in the area go to often for lunch. There is nothing fancy here… you get the food and leave. You get the food and stay & eat with an associate and leave. The food is good and fairly priced. I love this place for what they are… quick lunchtime option for fast sushi/​Japanese dishes.

Great Authentic style Japanese food. Went there yesterday and going back today. Had the tempura udon and baked salmon roll. Sushi is fresh and the udon was awesome! I got it to go and they packaged it just right so the noodles weren’t to soft and the tempura wasn’t soggy. Everything tastes just right and not over sauced or over done. Going to try more be back with another review

This is a clean, welcoming, military supporting spot with great sushi, miso soup and teriyaki.
We enjoyed the «Sexy Roll», «Yellow Tail Roll», «Alaskan Salmon Rolls», Miso Soup, Spicy Edamame and Chicken Teriyaki today and were not disappointed.
The food is excellent, seems fresh and of good quality and the friendliness of the staff is icing on the cake.

I had no idea this place was here until a co-​worker brought me for lunch. Man is it delicious! We each ordered a sushi roll and ramen. The portions are huge — the roll was one of the biggest I’ve ever had. The prices are very reasonable. There was no way we could finish everything.
The cashier was friendly, too. Just beware if you are coming for lunch — there is a very large crowd at this place. Call in and take out. It’s not really large enough inside to dine in anyway. Will come back!

This place is so amazing! The staff was so sweet and nice. The food was absolutely amazing! For the price, it has really good quality. We typically order udon, and the udon is deinfilty the best I have ever had before and that says a lot ツ The shrimp tempura is really tasty, and same with the sushi. Definitely recommend this place! Only thing is that the hours are a little inconvenient, If only they were open on the weekends :(

A small place but excellent Japanese food. The shrimp and vegetable tempura was fresh, crispy and tasty. The tofu salad was larger than I expected. My wife had the sesame chicken which was juicy inside and crispy on the outside. Great little place!!!

This place is super yummy! I swear I come here once or twice a week. I’ve never had a ‘bad piece’ of chicken when ordering their $ 5 chicken bowl. Super lean and and the veggies are always fresh. Best teriyaki in OC!

Im actually from Fullerton, and I went there while visiting my friends in Mission Viejo. Today was my first time trying them. All I can say is that it was just GREAT! awesome service, Fresh food, Reasonable price and quick!
I got their Shrimp tempura udon and a Spicy tuna roll (basic stuffs cause it was my first time there). They were both really good YUMYUMYUM!!! I really wanna try their special rolls next time. I will definetly come here everytime I visit my friends (:

Stopped in this plaza and basically stumbled into this place. I needed to quickly grab a bite before hitting the road. It is a place that looks like a hole in the wall but the service was good. Very quick like I had asked and received.
I ordered their spicy tuna bowl which had spicy tuna, slices of avocado, and slices of cucumber over rice. (I requested no sprouts which usually goes on top.). Lastly there is a spicy soy sauce that is drizzled over it (she allowed me to apply as much as I wanted over it). The portion size was decent and it wasn’t expensive (about $ 7.50). More importantly, it was delicious.
I had zero expectations and was pleasantly surprised. I will definitely be coming back.

Really, really good food. Inexpensive and super quick!
My mom has been going here for awhile and always gets the $ 5 chicken bowl. White meat, fresh veggies, great sticky rice and yummy teriyaki sauce. Very very good.
I got the sashimi bowl and for $ 7.95 it was the deal of the century. A lot of sashimi (ahi, salmon, and I think yellowtail.). I opted for the ginger dressing and it was unreal. I tried the spicy dressing too, but it wasn’t really to my taste. I used sriracha to spice it up instead! Perfect.
The girl taking orders was a sweetheart. She was very friendly, helpful and efficient. We were there at busy lunch time and our food came out in about 5 minutes. I can’t wait to go back and try more of the menu.
I highly recommend it.
