Great place to eat. Very fresh fish, clean and the young girl who takes the orders has great customer service.

Always a great experience here and the food is great! Cheaper than a normal restaurant but the same quality. And the girl who is always cashiering is amazing so great and nice!

I would put negative stars if I could. They might as well have«random» hours of operation posted. They are constantly closing whenever they feel like it. They claim to close at 9, however when I try to order with them, usually around 7, they tell me they are no longer taking phone orders. When I offer to go in to order instead they then claim that they are closing up for the night. Just rude and you can tell they don’t want to be working. This happens almost every time I try to eat here! Some days they are just randomly closed. Today was the last straw! You’re not good enough to have such horrible customer service!

I tried the teriyaki chicken and California roll lunch special. The portions were good for the price. The chicken was moist and flavorful. Just the right amount of teriyaki sauce. The California rolls were good as well. I ate inside the place. Nice décor and is kept clean. All the necessary utensils and condiments are accessible. The cashier that took my order was friendly and cordial. Will be back again.

This place just keeps getting better every time I come. I wish they would open one in Tustin. The rolls are so fresh, it’s like eating at a fancy sit down sushi place. Absolutely love it!

The owners are rude and have no manners. Cashier is nice. I was ordering my food i was about ready to leave before they locked the doors at 3 it was about 240. 20 minutes before closing time. I just was having a nice conversation with the cashier after the owner comes out with my food and basically told me to leave. Never coming here again. Foods not the good.

The place is pretty quite if you want to eat in. Customer service is good, the sushi is excellent(for a take out place) and the price is right. Their baked salmon roll is amazing. I keep going there all the time. Definitely recommend.

Solid place for quick sushi or pick up on the way home. The bento box is huge and has everything I love in one box, only complaint is that the crunch roll doesn’t seem crunchy enough when you pick it up to go. I don’t know if they don’t add the crunchy pieces so they don’t get soggy or if I got unlucky the last time and they forgot to add it but the crunchy pieces are what make that roll come together for me. They have a stamp card here too if you ask but I always forget to get mine stamped.

I would have liked to give this place a higher rating. For the record, we go for the bento boxes, which are very good and PACKED with food. The reason I avoid it now is because of the foul language in the music they play. When you rely heavily on business from the endless families in Ladera Ranch and MV, you should understand that we don’t want to hear about«shaking that ass», «bitch», et cet., when we just want to catch a quick bite with our kids(8 yr old daughter in my case). This happened twice and I’m not willing to try again. I hope you can understand. Let the angry childless«cool» reviewers rip me all you like. Going elsewhere.

when i choose if a place is a 5 star a 4 Star a 3 Star or a 1 star . a couple things come into factor. Is it good vibes when you walk in? do you see evolution?(like the owners see what you see an want to fix it or keep with the new trends an what the people like) but if it works it works. an good customer service. very simple Ive been coming to this place for a long time honestly its been through maybe 2 owners. the last owners were okay but they fell off. BUTTHENEWPEOPLE, they love there resturant. only reason i say that is cause you can tell there new owners. they changed the location brightened it up opened up the ceiling. helped the flow went with the black an white theme. big back light menu with plenty of options ! the newest upgrade change is the left wall when you walk in has been wooded an has a ton of varnish on it. the staff is an all new staff there is typically a younger woman who works the counter most nights an a more experienced woman the other times. both are very knowledgeable of the food the restaurant offers. an manage the position with ease. staying busy getting bags ready for togo orders or keeping the tables clean an the utensils an condiments full normally i order individual rolls an boy do they have choices of rolls. ive had the caterpillar roll there many times, rainbow roll there many times, crunchy roll many times(but there crunchy roll is different its like 5 pieces but there huge pieces) ive also got the johns roll typically spend around 20 $ in random rolls an normally the woman at the front will hook it up with a miso soup or something. the last time i came with a friend an i he got the bento box for 15 $ i always look at it but never order. I AMFROMNOWON. it has EVERYTHINGINIT! some chicken some salad some sushi some rice you name it its got it. an its cheaper then pieceing roll for roll the woman behind the register tho are the best part there nice an know the menu an are very helpful when you looking over all the delicious menu options an cannot decide. an ive never met the people behind the black curtain but they are the magic sauce they make the food that we all enjoy. so to the people we never see as well. thanks to you too

Pretty good take-out sushi if you’re craving some of that. I’ve tried probably half a dozen type of rolls the half a dozen times I’ve stopped by, and most of them came out like what I had expected. I’m not a fan of their soup or salad, but I will be back for their sushi if I’m in the area and am craving some sushi! Customer service is great! Connie is very friendly and helpful!

I ordered the Avocado Salad to go today and told the front staff it looked delicious and actually said«I hope it looks like the displayed menu picture». When it came out I asked to see it before she bagged it and I said that«it doesn’t look like the picture.» There was less than ½ the avocado pictured. That’s why you order an avocado salad, for the avocado! Like many people, I don’t like to send back food never knowing what you might get back so since it was already paid for, I left with it. I won’t be back, it’s nothing less than FALSEADVERTISING and not worth arguing over. But word gets around. Change your picture on your menu or plate your food as pictured.

Came here for a late lunch today and I think I have found my new go-to sushi place. It’s right down the street from where I live and their food is so good! The service is definitely good too. I got the 8 piece California roll, and they were great. You could tell they made the roll right then and cut it because I got two end pieces. It tasted fresh and flavorful. And the seaweed actually tasted fresh and salty unlike some other places. My boyfriend got a 16 piece sashimi which he enjoyed. It was good quality and well prepared. Both plates came with ginger and wasabi. I think the best part would have to be the price. My California rolls were 4.45 and the sashimi was 16.95, which seems pricy, but that’s about a dollar per slice of fish which is reasonable. We are super excited to come back especially to try the bento boxes!

This sushi was a MAJORBUST! Based on all the great reviews I was super excited to try this place. The pictures and descriptions of their menu looked and sounded really good, however, I would give the sushi 0 stars if I could. I ordered the Crunch Roll with a few additions. I added cream cheese and jalepeno, as I have many times before from other places and loved the flavor. Unfortunately, this roll was disgusting because: –They used pickled jalapeño from a jar(I thought the whole point of sushi was to use fresh ingredients! Where’s the fresh jalepeno???) –Rice was not sticky and roll was falling apart –Shrimp tempura heated up the entire roll which turned the insides to mush so I was left with melted cream cheese, and soggy rice, seaweed, and avocado. [SIDEBAR: I have eaten sushi with shrimp tempura for years and have never had a warm roll. It was extremely off putting I ate 2 pieces and threw the rest of $ 18 worth of sushi away] On a positive note, the woman who helped us was really nice and helpful! She gave us advice and explained the menu to us. She gets 5 stars for customer service. Lastly, I was surprised that such a small casual resturaunt was kept so clean and tidy. Will not be returning or recommending. The search for quality sushi continues!

I’m not usually a huge fan of takeout sushi because I feel like by the time you get it home, it just doesn’t taste very good. This place is the exception! I put in a takeout order of a couple rolls and two miso soups and went next door to get my eyebrows done. The lady who took my order let me know she would get my soup ready as soon as I came back to pick up my takeout order so that it would stay hot. I didn’t have to wait more than a couple minutes for my food by the time I came back. The inside of the restaurant was really clean and the inside looked like it was newly remodeled. My rolls and miso soup(still hot) we really good. They didn’t skimp on the fish in the rolls and packed plenty of wasabi, ginger, and soy sauce to go. I’ll definitely be back!

Sushi & Roll is a great spot if you’re looking for a quick, casual takeout meal. I always stop by during my lunch break because it’s a quick drive from my office and the service is quick and efficient. You can easily place a phone order through the cashier. For the price you’re paying, the quality has always been consistent. This is definitely a go to spot for awesome takeout sushi/Japanese!

Pretty good. Clean, efficient set-up. Friendly service. Coke products(always a good thing IMO). Christmas décor was still up in April, so that’s a little weird. Food was good. The only thing that I really have an issue with is the price. Two smallish rolls and two small sodas cost us $ 25. The price for what you get is just WAY off. The prices on the lunch specials(like teriyaki chicken) are better — around $ 9. But the sushi prices are so far off that I wouldn’t come back.

Came here not too long ago with a friend, it seemed pretty slow but I started to notice while having my dinner that a lot of their regular customers order to go. My friend and I got their Teriyaki Salmon Bento, which consists of 8 pieces of CA roll, salad, veggie tempura, edamame, rice and Salmon. We didn’t know it came with 8 pieces of sushi so we also ordered SOS sushi. SOS was okay for me, I think there was too much going on, I most likely won’t get it again. This is a place to go if you want a quick sushi fix. Yummy Yum-Yum :)
