I’ve been here a few times, the people are friendly, and for the most part, my experiences here have been good.
‘Great place to walk the dog, have lunch, a picnic, or simply, just relax.

The Cox Sports Park is part of the County of Orange’s park system. It is privately maintained and operated by Ladera Ranch Maintenance Corporation (LARMAC) and is a Merit Managed Community.
There are five lighted sport fields:
2 softball (with 1 soccer overlay)
2 baseball (with 2 soccer overlays)
1 large soccer field
*There is one soccer practice field (not lighted)

Parking Capacity: 270 vehicles
The picnic and playground areas are open to the public, and available for use on a first come, first serve basis. The sports fields are available for use by permit only. Applications for permits are obtained from LARMAC and allocated per LARMAC adopted policy. Permitting is done twice annually: June (for Fall/​Winter programs) and December (Spring/​Summer programs).
Note: Parks with sport fields owned privately by Ladera Ranch Maintenance Corporation (Founders Park, Chaparral Park and Oso Grande Park) may only be used by Ladera Ranch residents based sports programs and are not available for public permits.

I haven’t used all the fields and facilities here at Cox Sports Park, just mainly the main soccer field. They do have baseball fields and a playground, picnic tables, bathrooms, etc. The soccer field is a nice artificial turf field. Not full regulation size, but plenty big enough for adult rec games. It’s a bit harder on the knees and ankles than a grass field, but not bad. It is flat and predictable and you can play a good, clean, fast game on it. I look forward to getting to play here in the Sunday league I play in.
There is also a regular pick-​up game there on Friday night.
