Younger crowd but fits the dive bar scene. Has a pool table and dance floor. I was in town for business and found this was a nice place to grab a quick drink and relax.

Went on a Friday night with a friend that is clearly over 30. He brought his passport and they wouldn’t let him in. I am 42 and clearly we are of age and they still insisted that that can’t let him in. I guess we don’t live in USA anymore and passport is not a legit form of ID anymore. Patsy’s is definitely not American.

Just moved to the area and was excited to try this place. Okay in a quick explanation food is okay but service absolutely sucks. Had to ask waitress three times to get a water. We ate our whole appetizer and were never given silverware or napkins we had to ask twice and finally got them. Everything took foreverrrrrrrr. Even our drinks. Also fruit flies were all over our table. I was swatting at them while I ate. Only had one waitress felt bad for her but she wasnt very apologetic. I go out to a restaurant instead of eating at home so I can be served. Not worth it. Thumbs down from me.

So I went into Patsys on Friday with friends after work. Man was I disappointed bartender was too busy chatting with guest and texting on the phone. And when she did finally Talked to me and I asked her about a few different types of beer she had no idea About about any. I am a bartender myself you should know about all of the spirit and your beer I guess all she knew about was how her cellphone works. swearing I never came back from how I ended up there in the next day because my friends birthday and they were all going there and yes I am glad I went my experience is much better there was a girl in there one I can’t remember the name perfectly I think Sadi /Katie ??. She was so sweet and made me feel like a was cared about where on Friday if I wasn’t a regular I wasn’t even cared for. I’ll be back but only if I see the blonde girl working !!!

Decent drinks, cheap prices, fun atmosphere, and great customer service. The hand crafted drinks we ordered that night were just okay but for the price I couldn’t really complain. Eventually just ordered my Whiskey and Scotch neat to save the trouble. The atmosphere was very festive with everyone enjoying themselves. Its always fun to watch drunk people sing their inebriated hearts out on the karaōke stage. Ran into a situation where two older drunk women stole my drink and sipped all of it in front of me while I was signing my bill. When I returned the receipt I informed her that I believe these patrons in front me sipped me drink and put it back. She didn’t question me or give me shit that I was lying to get a free one. She turned to them, stared at the pair in a way that would melt an iceberg, asked them, «Why did you take his drink? You sure as shit KNOW that wasn’t for you!», poured me a double and said to me «Sorry ’bout that hon» and continued to stare them down until they left. My f*ing hero!

Funny little dive bar with a pub mask on. The only thing remotely irish is the Magners but since we’re working with suburbia — it will due. They don’t take amex and the credit card machine is this antiquated thing that seems to take the bartenders a while to process so bring cash if you can… Or visa I guess if you want to make everyone else wait for their drinks a bit longer. Honestly, service is almost always without a smile but what can you do? You’re here for the dim lighting, bad karaōke and cheesy DJ/dancing so the icky bathrooms and bad service comes with the territory. The usual reason I’m here is because it is a Lake Forest/MV institution and they have $ 6 bottles of Magners… Not on tap like Dubliner or other proper Irish establishments but I think Patsys operates on that«everyone is irish on st. patty’s day» phrase… only they propose«we’re Irish cuz we sell guinness & magners & jameson» which is good enough. It’s not that bad it’s just not that good either but when you take it at face value and know what you’re getting yourself into, it’s the most fun a girl can have in a t-shirt and flats 5 mins from home.

Lori is an amazing Bartender. She helped me through the menu and was quick with her work. She has an amazing attitude and makes me want to come back. More people need to be like her. Go Lori.

This bar is a lot of fun. I’m new to the area and was looking for a low key bar that does karaōke. This was it! I’m usually not a fan of Irish pubs, well maybe just Hennessys. I feel like those types of places are trendy and tend to attract a certain type of individual that I don’t care to be around. I don’t know if the weekend crowd here is different, but on all the weekdays I’ve been here there has always been a good crowd. The crowd here is mixed, some younger some older from all walks of life. The drinks here pack a punch which I like! The menu is typical Irish dishes & of course bar food with extensive burger options. I had the corned beef & it was delicious! Meat was tender, cabbage carrots & potatoes were cooked perfectly & I had plenty to take home. My friend got the Hawaiian themed burger(don’t remember what it was called) also yummy & huge! Fries here are really good as well. Staff here is very friendly & personable. All the bartenders here are on point whether you’re a regular or its your first time. Absolutely love this place great service, food & always a good time!

They won’t let you bring in a cane during Halloween. You have pool sticks. Idbrather hit someone with that than a prop cane. They won’t give me tea when I ask for it. They say they don’t have tea. You’re a fucking resteraunt. I know you have tea you lazy ass fuck.

the 5 stars is not necessarily for the venue it self but for these few reasons: 1.location location location…2 min walk from my house. In general one of the few bar options in the area. 2.strong cheap drinks. ladies night on Thursday 3 $ drinks 3 service… we are always remembered along with our regular drink orders. Kim is the sweetest! 4. recently was surprised to find out their food is really good, some of the best calamari ive ever had.

Great atmosphere not just a run of the mill dive bar. No pool table or games really and some of the prices are a lil high for s place Like this but friendly staff, karaōke is fun and hilarious, and always a great crowd, very rare will you have meat head douche bags here or barflys or town drunks, been here with family and friends several times and had a good experience. Food ain’t too shabby either, some of there menu is pretty authentic Irish food. Good time not terrible but not amazing but I do recommend. Def packed on weekends so get in early for a spot to sit or you’ll be standing.

Horrible service. Wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone. Bathrooms are always filthy and staff is very rude. Overpriced drinks for what it is. It’s just a hole in the wall and filthy.

My first Post was a smartass review, because of a problem they had with a couple of PATRONS. It made me mad that such a nice place was besmirched. Everything here is great, from the shrimp appetizer to the corned beef(normally I don’t like corned beef). I know this will sound funny, but their Shepard’s Pie needs help. I’m a fan of real Shepard’s Pie. Although closed(Fresh and Easy) in the same parking lot had a better Shepard’s Pie. I’ve been here ½ dozen times and will be back.

Patsy’s Irish Pub is a fine place to grab a beer or mixer. Mission Viejo, California. Possibly the most faceless city in SoCal. Tract homes, strip malls and… and… well… Patsy’s? Patsy’s is another Irish themed Pub hidden in a strip mall off of an otherwise unexceptional strip mall. You know the sort of Pub this is: Bouncer hanging outside of the front door with groups of smokers around the parking lot, long in the tooth and sloppy looking female bartenders perfectly happy to give you lip or not serve you at all along with blaring music/karoke. That isn’t to say it is terrible. Quite the contrary as Mission Viejo needs this watering hole. Ice cold beer, drunk behavior and the people watching are first class. It should also be mentioned the drinks are dirt cheap for OC standards. A two star experience at 4 star prices.

I used to live close to this place for years, and never realized it was a bar. they are tucked in a strip mall, and if you know its there you go, and if you are a new person you have no business of knowing this place even exists. Anyway, quite recently two fo my friends that frequent this place, invited me over to go here for drinks and lunch. I am glad i tried. THe lady behind the bar, who reminded me of a russian grandma, super sweet, made one of the best dirty martini i have ever tasted, with giant olives filled with bleu cheese. amazing! and their food was very remarkable. one of hte friend ordered corned beef, and it was delicious! i got the fish and chips. the basic. and it was very memorable. i could see bunch of old people playing some quiz game on one of those odd looking devices. its an interesting place, and all in all, it was a fun place. check this place out and try their food! sooo good!

Went to Patsys, last weekend. The place is cool but I give the bouncers a 1 star rating. Why? They were rude to my asian friends. Seemed kinda a racist at times. How may you ask??? We were standing by the bar to order drinks. then one bouncer named«Mike» told my friends they were in the way of traffic toward the bathroom area in the back bar. Which is total bs, it was only 830pm, the place was dead at the time! Then around 1030pm, another bouncer with a «kilt» on a) checked my friend’s Id again, remind you this is 2 hours later after we had arrived where the guys check our ids when we first walked in from the entrance where there is open smoking area, gave us a fake name, how do i know he gave a fake name you may ask? We talked to the owners son in law, Jack, at the other Patsys in Laguna Niguel. If you like karaōke and dancing, definitely go to the other patsys in Laguna Niguel! its good on Fridays, and Saturdays with some live top 40 Dj.

This is definitely a dive bar but the cozy type. Everyone that goes here pretty much knows everybody. Karaōke every night but Mondays and its very loud… not the best for conversation unless you go to the back where the pool table is. Thursday is ladies night so girls get drinks CHEAP! Sunday is free pool They do have better music as the night goes on besides karaōke. I enjoy my time at patsys but if your looking for a club type place this isn’t it even though they do have dancing 11 later usually.

This is an excellent Irish bar tucked into a small center off Los Alisos Blvd. a true Irish bar in so many ways: Great food. The Corned Beef tacos have a horseradish white sauce that is soooo good. Rate these the best corned beef tacos I have ever had. Get here on happy hour and they are really inexpensive. Other food is authentic and excellent. They have a fully stocked bar with many Irish whiskers and a large beer selection. One of the best parts of coming here is it is a local bar. Great people watching and very friendly patrons. We came here for tacos and meet some great people. Like family. There is also a stage where they have live music. It really is like having two bars. Get here early and have space at the bar and great for watching and talking. Or get here later in the evening when the music starts and it becomes a busy crazy fun place where you can hardly talk to each other. Both ways are awesome. Will be back here again and again.
