Rubinos Pizza

Love this place! Little dive pizza restaurant with good pasta salad and even better pizza. Takes a little time to get to you but that’s what the price of fresh pizza is. Delicious!

I met a buddy here after he told me this place had the best pizza in OC. It’s family owned and been around for almost 20 years. It’s a small place at the end of a strip mall, but it seems to get a lot of local foot traffic.
They have a good selection of Italian items besides pizza and their lunch specials are priced unbelievably low. While I was there, 20 – 30 high school kids dropped in for lunch and I could understand why. Good, inexpensive food is ideal for cash strapped kids.
I got the lunch special with two slices of pepperoni pizza and a drink and it was only around $ 6. That is the best price in town.
They serve a New York style pizza and it was tasty. I wouldn’t say it’s the best, but it’s one of the better ones of the mom and pop type joints.
I’ll stop by again and will have to try to meatball sandwich to see how well they do on some of their other dishes.

I ordered the #1 combo. Slice of cheese pizza, soda, side ceasar salad. $ 5.50
Pizza was not hot, just warm. Taste was good/​okay.
Caesar salad was basically lettuce, too many croutons, way too many black olives, and caesar dressing.
For the price it was ok.

I walked in and asked if there were and specials. The gentleman said 3 bucks off and suggested the supreme pizza. I figured Supreme is a cant miss so I went for it. Big Mistake. After running a couple of quick errands I returned to pick up this room temperature pizza. I took it home and was ready to dig in and after the first bite I knew immediately that this pizza was pure garbage. The toppings were so disgusting I honestly didn’t know what I was eating. It included an abundance of «fossilized rabbit turds» I don’t know what they were. There was very little pepperoni, sausage or hamburger which was disappionting. The ham or what I thought was ham was greyish /​white in color and was so gross it looked like human skin. I ate 1 slice after attempting to purify it of the discustinfg toppings. Called the owner to complain played phone tag and never did speak to him about this «food product». I should have called 911 instead.
Disgusting supreme pizza, 12 buffalo wings and large drink — 3 dollar discount = 38 dollars Ill never get to spend again. Worst pizza experience in my life!!! Stay away!!!

This is mainly for the lunch deals only. Their lunch deals are pretty cheap. I got two slices of pepperoni pizza, a side salad and a drink for just under $ 8. The sandwiches and pasta arent bad also. Lunch deals until 3pm weekdays.
They also offer pasta and sandwiches on their special lunch menu. Of course, you can order other items like wings, full pizzas, pasta, etc.
They also have beer on tap along with various wines.
This place does get packed with kids near lunch time when school is in session so they can be annoying at times.
But for a cheap, decent lunch stop off here!

Ok it’s my first time here and unfortunately my kids changed their mind after I placed my order. After 15 mins i went to the counter and told them if I could change my order. I spoke to the owner and mentioned I looked like I’m going to cry ??? (really for a pizza) I explained my case just to see if I can appeal to his better nature… anyway he said I have been sitting waiting for my order. Really I wasn’t begging I was just asking. No need to humiliate me ! He gave me a choice if I want some pepperoni in the side but it will cost me … What??? So anyway I’m done ! I am a new customer and you would think they would want to make a good impression … Nope ! So anyway hello Pizza Hut, round table or BJs… Customer service is important … I would never come back here !
