What a jewel, right in the heart of Mission! A friend had asked me if I had been here yet, and I had to reply no, because I had no idea this store even existed! I stopped by today after work to peruse, not really expecting to find much beyond the usual classic rock albums, cut-outs and new audiophile releases. However, as soon as I started looking, I knew this would be different. They have things very organized, with the newest arrivals right by the front door. I’ve been sort of actively looking for the 1984 David Gilmour album«About Face» for a while… and not having much luck. When I say actively, I mean that whenever I found myself in a record store, I’d see if they had it. Today was no different, and I looked through the classic rock bins, expecting my usual disappointment… but, lo and behold, at the back of the rack under the G’s…there it was! I snagged a couple ELP records that I didn’t have on vinyl, and even picked up a Miles Davis record for my bride. All in all, this is exactly what I was looking for in a record store. I will definitely be coming back when the mood strikes me. What’s even better, not only is it a record store, but they also sell instruments and offer music lessons! If you haven’t been down Johnson Drive in Mission for a while(and with all the construction that’s been going on down there for the last couple years, who has?) head to this place and support a good old-fashioned record store!

Brothers has a great selection of used albums, especially jazz and classic rock(what else do you need, really?) They also have a small but decent selection of new records(they may have more than I saw, but I was only there briefly.) Cole, one of the brothers, was super friendly and very knowledgeable. Looking forward to many trips to their store and possibly even some guitar lessons. I’m new to Kansas and was thrilled to find such an awesome shop so close to home. Definitely check them out!

Best record store in KC. Super Clean and organized. Very friendly and helpful staff. They really care about quality, they have a decent selection of vintage audio equipment: speakers, turntables, receivers as well as new guitars. They also offer guitar lessons from an experienced instructor that really knows how to inspire and connect with his students.
