Great place to grab a quick bite. Good atmosphere and fun aluminum sculptures created by customers. Check it out!

I’ve been here a couple of times. I’ve tried their bowls and their burritos. Both are solid options worth trying. I especially like their brownies, probably because I have a huge sweet tooth. Anyway, there hasn’t been too long of a line either time, and there’s always been open tables, so we’ve been able to get in and out easily.

Plenty of tortilla, rice & beans not enough of the good stuff(meat & chicken). I had previously had Freebirds in San Antonio snd I would have to say that I would return for the«experience» at their establishment. I was mildly disappointed at the lack there of here in McAllen and the poor server to customer connection.

The staff was not helpful, they were too busy talking between themselves. We finally left with no order and no food. Of course we will not be back.

Huge burritos even if you get the small one. They stuff them to the max and are not shy. Very good and a wide variety. Very friendly staff and fast also.

Their burritos were ok… huge portion and you can put what ever you want inside of them… it’s more like a subway kinda of restaurant

Big burritos á la everywhere. Since I am from Denver, Colorado originally, and lived near Evans Avenue, I may be a bit biased about big burritos, but I did enjoy my Freebirds World Burrito experience. I really liked that I had a choice of flavored shells, plenty of options for fillings and a friendly staff to help you along your way. If you need to get your big burrito on in McAllen, TX, hit up Freebirds!

We are kind of new to the RGV, my hubby and I, wanted to try something new every week, so this time was the time for burritos, we look up online and found this spot, the place is cool and the staff is really nice!, they were explaining to us, how the system goes, we got the spinach flour tortilla and the cayenne flour tortilla, they have different ones to choose, we are vegetarian so it was great that they have so many options to fill up your burrito with, The monster is so big, and tasty, ingredients are fresh and crispy!, soo good! highly recommended, the have bottomless salsas, and besides that it was very affordable, we got 2, veggie combos for less, than 20 box, is a lil bit far from our home, but definitively we are coming back!

One of the best burrito places I’ve been too in a long time. Service was fast and the place was clean. The portions are plenty full and the desserts are great. We will definately return.

Great food, tastes healthy. Only problem is I wanted a quesadilla with minimal toppings. I got a tortilla with cheese. Nothing else. The worker said it would be cheaper… More than $ 7 for a single tortilla with cheese. What kind of crap is that? I lost my appetite when I saw the price.

I hate the bland meat selection and the bland rice… I basically wish it was a Chipotle

This is the closest food to chipotle. Food was good but the employees lack professionalism. They’re young and they have conversations while serving customers. Not attentive at all and they give attitude if they have to repeat anything they’ve asked you.

During my time living in Mission, this place was decent but not every up to par with Chipotle and to this day, I still get the«crazy eyes» and triple takes from people I know over it!

They changed their menu and raised their prices which pretty much made it pointless to go here when there are lots of other choices for a more reasonable price.

I have never been to a freebirds where the food and service was not awesome. This company is just spewing with employees in every location that genuinely seem to enjoy their job. This one was no exception. Yet another awesome freebirds! The atmosphere, the music, the décor, everything about this place is cool and laid back. My son and I went around 9pm on a Saturday so dinner crowd was gone and the place was starting to slow down. I had a steak burrito and my boy had a chicken quesadilla. The queso is fantastic! The 5 or so employees in the front of the house had the place spotless. I didn’t have to get up for anything.

Tasty fast-food burritos with your choice of fresh fillings served in a pleasantly funky restaurant by friendly, tattooed and pierced young people. Great place for a quick lunch or dinner. If you are the creative type you can craft your aluminum foil burrito wrapping into anything you can imagine. See plenty of examples from other customers along the walls. I highly recommend the cayenne tortilla, double-toasted. Yummy!!!

The food is excellent. The choices beat their competitors hands down. Only reason I didn’t give it 5 stars is I like to be able to carry on a conversation while eating and the music is so loud you want to eat and get out. Have tried Chipotle Grill and Qdoba and they just don’t compare. Great place for a vegan. Only problem is they aren’t everywhere I travel.

Once I realized my burrito builder guy was a vegan(he has a «Vegan» sticker affixed to his left shoulder), a subtle thrill washed over me. I mean, this isn’t the most vegan-centric part of Texas by any stretch of the imagination so kudos to you awesome dude! I decided on the veggie salad bowl instead of my usual burrito rice bowl because man, I’ve been feeling all sorts of fat lately. Mostly because well it’s true what they say kids, your metabolism does decrease to some slowww glacial crawl as you age and it’s total B.S. because I thought we had a deal! Anyway, got my fixings and the vegan preparer dude was extremely nice and thorough in explaining my options and describing them in further vegan-suitable detail. He even scooped out a small heap of Spanish rice«just in case» I wanted to sample a tiny bit of it later. My salad wasn’t anything extraordinary, but it was quite delicious. And quite beautiful with all the colors and freshly prepared components. Salad isn’t something to keeps well, but I decided to take my leftovers with me and wouldn’t you know it, still delicious a couple of hours later. I am pretty fond of Freebirds anyway, but this location was really stellar. I’m sure I’ll be back as this is one of the«safely vegan» places in Mission. Woo hoo!

This spot is all about variety. They have all sorts of tortillas, proteins, and fillers for your burrito. I had a Freebird sized burrito. Everything was good, and fresh. I wanna come back and try the carnitas and nachos. I kinda wish that this location offered fish for some fish tacos…
