Kroger usually has the best gas prices in the area. Get a Kroger card if you want 3 cents off your gas on top of the low price.
Kroger is good for a long grocery list or just to zip in and out for a few items. They have a large selection of ethnic foods. I really like the fact that they carry foreign foods because I can cook exotic recipes when I feel like it and they have the ingredients I need all in one spot. They’re usually the only store that carries the good Chinese duck sauce and they’re the cheapest with the Caribbean spices and British items.
Depending on what time you go, you can get deep price reductions on meat and produce. If you’re dropping in to get a last minute steak to cook immediately, you might be very lucky to get different cuts of steaks for a really low price. Bananas, cucumbers and broccoli are items I tend to get here because they are cheaper than anywhere else.
Also, if you’re a senior citizen with a Kroger card they give senior discounts sometimes automatically on the card. My older relatives love that!

I love this store… everything from the location to the prices, store layout, employees and the Starbucks inside ! And Trish that works at the Starbucks rocks !! Go see her for sure… she usually works the early shift.

This place tends to have either the least expensive gas or is close enough. Make sure you have Gasbuddy ready. If you don’t have Gasbuddy, rest assured the prices here are always pretty competitive.

better prices and selection than HEB… Customer service here is excellent. also lost my phone here, and it was waiting for me in lost and found.

Decent prices on gas but over priced on groceries, HEB and Wal-​Mart works better for me. This store does have a lot of items though.
