Lee sold the business so it’s under new management now. It was okay, the first time I went but I was really only driving that far because I loved Lee and her staff. It was a friendly environment and felt like family to me. The new folks are good, but they didn’t trim down as much as I wanted and they were all business. I miss Lee. I really do.

This nail salon has a pedicure menu with 4 different options. I only paid $ 28 for my pedi with French tips and nail art on my big toes. They have some kind of special on pedicures right now. The nail tech took her time although she could’ve made my feet quite a bit smoother. I will have to use my foot file when I get home. I also noticed after I left that she missed a lot of dead skin/cuticles around my nails. I have what looks like a lot of dry/dead skin on my pinky toe that I’ve never noticed before, so I am not sure what that is from but she could have filed that more as it looks kind of gross. The line of my French tips are a bit even but that isn’t too noticeable. As much as I wanted to like this place, I can’t. It’s only been a couple of hours, and I already feel like I need another pedicure.

Lee at Hillcrest nails is GREAT! The salon is very clean. The staff is knowledgable and nice. I highly recommend using their services.

My experience was a bit of a mixed bag. From a technical perspective, it was one of the most thorough and nicest pedicures I’ve had, and it was inexpensive at $ 25, so I’d definitely go back. On the other hand, as one other reviewer noted, the technician kept getting up to take care of minor things — in fact, someone else entirely actually finished the pedicure for her — so in terms of service it wasn’t that great. Personally, I see pedicures as a luxury purchase, so service is important to me.

This salon does great pedicures and I continue to go to this spot for them. The main issue I have with Hillcrest Nails is that when I got my nails done the owner didn’t focus on me; she kept getting up and down anytime someone came in for a pedicure. My Mom had this same complaint when she got her nails done as well. It makes a nail appt much longer because of this lack of attention. The owner is super nice, the salon is very clean, prices are fair. You can make an appt or walk in. They take credit cards, but not AMEX. She also does a punch card.

I checked this place out after reading the great reviews here on Unilocal. They are correct, it is clean and the owner Lee is very friendly. She was short-staffed so my wait time was very long, but she acknowledged this and apologize which I appreciated. She did a wonderful job on my nails.
