The cupcakes are super cute and decorated with love. It tastes like they makes these with real ingredients, from scratch. I was just wishing for more flavor. I have tried several different cupcakes and they all taste pretty bland, except for lemon, which was great. The others were pretty indistinguishable(cinnamon-apple with no apple or cinnamon taste to it!) and way too sweet. I was super happy with the service and packaging. We may give them another try.

Have you tried the cake bites? Its to die for! I love the lemon cake balls(bites), then the cream cheese pound cake ball, and red velvet cake balls. My husband gave me a box of cake bites for valentines day and ever since then, I’ve been hooked! Michelle makes the best cake balls! My favorite cupcake is the caramel macchiato on Mondays!

OMG are you Serious! I went to the new one on Schillinger to give them a try, as I like to give second chances. I was there at 4:15 and the sign on the door clearly said they close at 7pm and the door was LOCKED. I am over TWIST cupcakes and will stick with GiGi’s and baking them myself. UGH.

I have spent the past few years of my life wandering around the United States. During that time, I have actively been seeking out every cupcake bakery that a city has to offer. I love cupcakes. In fact, there are days that the only food that I consume is cupcakes. That being said, I was super excited to find out that there was a cupcake bakery in the city that I will be calling home for the next five years. So, I took the first opportunity that I had to swing by. I found the décor to be appealing. It was pretty modern, which is my style. I walked up to the counter to look at the cupcakes. There were many different types available. They were kept on plates/pedestals that were behind a glass divider. There weren’t any flavors that seemed too extravagant. I was trying to decide between vanilla birthday cake and irish cream, so I asked the girl working behind the counter which was better. She said that Irish cream was better, so I got that one. My mom got a cupcake that had chocolate cake with a chocolate buttercream icing. The cupcakes were regular size with a generous portion of icing. The worker was friendly, fast, competent. So, we got our cupcakes and sat down at a table to indulge. My cupcake had irish cream flavored icing with some nuts sprinkled on top. I liked the flavor, but it was almost a bit too soft because the cupcakes sit out in a pretty warm environment. If you like nuts, I’m sure the nuts would have been a nice addition. I’m not a fan of nuts, so I can’t really comment on what type of contribution they made. I spit them out. The cake part of the cupcake tasted more like nothing that anything I’ve ever tasted. I can’t figure out how cake is able to be made so flavorless. The cake part had nuts in it as well. The texture and moisture of the cake was decent, it is just the absent flavor that killed it. So, the icing gets a thumbs up and the cake gets a double thumbs down. My mom loved the chocolate buttercream icing. She said that she could take or leave the cake part. The cake was there and it was edible, but nothing good or bad about it. I have a friend who has an insatiable sweet tooth, and she always says that the cake is just a means of transportation for the icing. This cupcake bakery seems to believe that as well. Overall, of all the cupcake bakeries that I have been to across the United States, this one would land pretty near the bottom. However, they get some points for having great employees. Also, I liked that they offered day old cupcakes for a reduced price. I’ll stop back sometime in the future and try a different cupcake. Maybe I will have a better experience.

Delicious and interesting deserts. I picked up 15 for a party and was mostly satisfied with all of them. They were pretty pricey, but worth it for special occasions.

Great place. The employees here are fantastic. We needed cupcakes ASAP for a special birthday treat but were running late. After calling ahead, they were willing to let us pick up our order after closing. I recommend the salted caramel cupcake. It was literally the best cupcake I’ve ever eaten in my life. Prefect taste. Perfect texture. Dense and moist! Yummy! Yes, these cupcakes are a tad pricy, but you only need one. Also, I noticed they have sales on two-day old cupcakes($ 1.50 each). So you could still treat yourself on a budget.

I went to Twist for the first time a while back when they were just starting out ! I loved the fact that I got a sweet little box with my purchase, however they had a changed menu from the one posted on-line so the specials were a bit mixed up and they were selling out fast. I believe they got those situated hopefully. But word to the wise always order prior if you need more than 5 of the same one! I tried the java. it was to die for! The frosting tasted like a frappucino and the chocolate covered coffee bean was the best topper! I love the décor of the place however wish it was less like a cafeteria chic and more loungy. Plus they always have specials which you can get the DL from their FB. The specialty are always so neatly done and its locally made! Only if they could have one DT!

Finally got to stop in here one day this week. I’ve tried other ‘gourmet’ cupcakes places and this place is top-notch. The layout of the inside of the store is cute, but still feels kinda new and sparse. After some time, I’m sure it will develop some character. I stepped in just to grab some cupcakes to try while running errands, so I didn’t even have time to eat them there. I picked out the Red Velvet and the Salted Caramel. Not ~too~ pricey, at $ 2.75 each, as I believe they are made on site and are quite substantial. Other places I’ve tried are upwards of $ 3 each and are much smaller and baked off-site and shipped in frozen. Not so here, me thinks. Glancing around at the selection, it looked like every single cupcake was ~perfect~. No smooshed-in sides or sloppy frosting. Like they were lovingly made just a few feet away. Between errands I devoured them in my car, which was a MASSIVE guilty pleasure. The top of the cupcake beneath the frosting was a tad dry, probably from being ‘afternoon’ cupcakes, but everything about them was delish. The cupcake body was moist, and the swirl of the frosting tasted very high quality. My favorite in general are Red Velvets, but the Salted Caramel was even better. It also had a chocolate ganache center. This place is great for a guilty pleasure. Recommend.

This is a GREAT new cupcake place in Mobile. If you get the chance to get by there, do so. And not only just today, but each day and month as their specials change!
