Wendy’s

It’s just Wendy’s, but it’s our favorite one! The fries are always hot and fresh. We’ve been several times and never had a bad experience.

Family and I went to try Wendy’s new spicy Fresco chicken sandwich. Looks really good on tv.
Problem #1 — the soda machine won’t carbonate drinks. They said they called about it but no timetable for when it should be fixed.
Problem #2 — they were out of spicy chicken filets. WHAT?! It’s only Monday and you are out of spicy chicken filets? Isn’t there a Wendy’s in Statesville or Clemmons you could borrow a case from? S
While I could get by without a soda, they were out of the very thing we went there for in the first place. What a crappy start to the week but after all, it IS Monday, right Wendy’s? So I told the family, «c’mon we are leaving». I got a couple «sorry“‘s tossed our way as we left.
We went to Arby’s and was disappointed there to, but that is another review.

Finally went back to try that spicy Fresco chicken sandwich. They actually had the chicken this time. Out of 10, I give the sandwich a 5. The regular spicy chicken I give a 7. The sandwich has the regular spicy chicken filet PLUS a boatload of other stuff including chopped jalapeños, habanero and ghost pepper in a cheese sauce and two rings of red onions. I was rather disappointed. Rather than getting layers of heat from the different peppers, they all muddled together in a brawl against each other. There was no layering of flavor or contrast of taste. This sandwich would have been better off without the cheese sauce and instead have something sweet like mango salsa to contrast the peppers. I will stick with the regular spicy chicken sandwich. The Fresco won’t be around long. That isn’t necessarily a bad thing.

They spent so much money remodeling so i thought i would give it another chance… walked in and the garbage cans were overflowing and there was trash and food on the floor and none of the tables were clean… they werent busy. Such a shame. Walked out without ordering,

Really clean pleasant staff and very accommodating. So far the best Wendy’s I have ever been
