Arby’s

Arby’s is usually a three star experience on their best day but not today.
We had just been disappointed by Wendy’s (see other review) and went to Arby’s because at that point, I just wanted something to stop the gnawing in my stomach and it was right next door.
Both daughters got kids meals and they were typical Arby’s fare. Hot ham and cheese and a roast beef with fries and drinks. My wife got a a Reuben which looked fantastic and she said was great. It was BIG with a mound of juicy corned beef.
Now for the joke of the evening. I ordered the beef brisket combo. Who doesn’t like smoked brisket? The reality was so much less than the picture on the wall. I should have taken a picture of it.
The sandwich was really small. For a $ 7.89 combo I expected some fricken food. Anyway, the brisket (jerky) on the outside of the bun was dried into
Mummification. Really bad. As I took the top of the bun off, I had to dig below the layers of cold onion rings, cheese mayo and sickeningly sweet sauce to get to the… THERE IT IS! THE BRISKET!!! I usually don’t mind a game of hide and seek but cmon! For $ 7.89 you can put a little more meat on that thing! I was channeling Clara Peller… WHERES THE BEEF??? You I have to tell you the sandwich was like warm at best and tasted like it had been sitting around since Moses. The brisket was dry but was nicely smoked. The only redeeming quality.
Too many options down fast food alley to deal with this. I cannot recommend the brisket slider… er…I mean sandwich. It was one of the biggest disappointments in a long while.
Two stars is for the other three meals minus one for mine. Maybe mine was just a bad fix. But for $ 7.89 a combo, I won’t roll the dice again.

Maybe the previous reviewer should’ve requested ‘red ranch sauce’ not ‘red french dressing’, as ‘red french dressing’ is not a menu item, if you want to be technical. The reviewer didn’t state what exactly was wrong with the order and how/​if the issue was resolved.
In my experiences, this Arby’s location exemplifies quick, courteous service, hot and fresh food, and with a smile. Everything from the parking lot, to the the front counter, to the restrooms is clean. The health sanitation grade is high, and I’ve never had a problem here. Check plus!

Great food. I really love Arby’s. Now if ONLY they could LISTEN to you when you order and then get it right.
When you pull up and say «I would like two Medimum Roast Beefs. One with the Red French Dressing. One without, and a large French Fry.» and they still can’t get it right… really!
