I think I have been here a total of 3 times. Their coffee was okay, but nothing great. Their donuts aren’t bad-but for a $ 1 each it is sooooooo not worth it! My sister ordered a dozen from them-$ 11. Way too expensive for what they are. Especaily when you can go across the street to MR T’s and get FRESH donuts for cheaper.

I just want to ad that Dunkin’ Donuts apparently has a strategy to open in small towns next to the only/most popular donut shop. That is so shady, but I think the joke is ultimately on them. All it really does is attract more people back to the mom and pop donut shop because Dunkin’ just isn’t good.

I hardly ever get to visit Dunkin Donuts so I’m pretty clueless about the different types of coffee and whatnot. Macchinicio? Dunkinicio? I can’t even spell them. Thankfully the girl behind the counter was very patient with my many questions and friendly to boot. Plus the store was clean and they provide free wifi– how can you go wrong? I did subtract a star though due to their less than extensive donut selection, but that could have possibly been been because it was later in the day(around 4 pm?) Btw, be sure to get your reciept– fill out the short online survery to earn an almost free donut(beverage purchase required)!

Love Dunkin Donuts. It is one of my East Coast happy places and it makes me really happy that there’s one in Norcal now. Le fiancé and I stopped in Modesto on the way to his parents house and dropped off here for a snack. I got an iced coffee and a breakfast sandwich while he got something seasonal and sugary — I think it was a pumpkin donut of some kind. Everything was great! This is a very well-run Dunkin Donuts — excited for them to expand to other places in Norcal :)

Coffee was decent, but these are the worst donuts I’ve ever had! yuck! The only thing convenient is that they have a drive thru, and other donut shops don’t. but after getting your coffee, youll want to stop somewhere else for your donuts anyway, they were just terrible!

I’ve been coming here this past year not everyday but every now and the and I want to say my satisfaction with the drink deserves 4 stars although they are way to sweet their regular coffee is good. The fact that 90% of the time my order is messed up is why they get one star. I just tired of having to come back and waste time to have them get my order right.

I try not to review chain restaurants unless they’re really, really good or really, really bad. I don’t think anybody bothers to check Unilocal before visiting these places normally. In the case of this Dunkin Donuts though, I had to Unilocal them and give them five stars for their outstanding service. This is one of my regular stops in the mornings, I usually grab coffee here once or twice a week. Every time I come here, the workers are always extremely polite and very friendly. I’ve been given a free donut on multiple occasions, when a fresh batch comes out and they want to get rid of the less fresh donuts. They could easily throw these out, but instead they make people’s mornings, and gain loyal customers like myself. Whatever this company is doing, they’re doing it right because these employees seem to genuinely like their jobs and enjoy working with the public(which is an oddity nowadays). Thank you Dunkin Donuts Modesto!

This was my first time ever at a Dunkin’ Donuts. I was expecting so much less out of this chain for some reason, but I was quite impressed. The restaurant was clean, the service was excellent and the food just as good. We got the Reese’s square, the pumpkin square, an assortment of donut holes and the pumpkin chilled coffee(I’m sure there’s some time of cool brand name for the drink but I’m not hip to the DD lingo yet). Everything we got was great. Excited that our town will be getting one soon. I would like to note that Reuben helped us and was awesome! He was very thorough and helpful when we asked for suggestions. The only thing I would ask for next time is a changing table. The little guys and girls have nowhere to go! Please and thank you!

I came here once and just had to write a review. The service was so great and the young man who took our order was so funny. He was cracking one joke after another. Not sure what his name was but he did such a great job. He made the experience so much better. And the coffee was so good.

I order a medium coffee with cream and sugar every single morning since I work just down the street. I grew up on the east coast, so inevitably, I grew up on Dunkin. I originally hail from the Bay Area, and upon relocating to Modesto — this Dunkin Donut location, admittedly, was my silver lining. This location has friendly employees, CLEAN facilities(I’ve never seen so much as a crumb on any of their tables), and FAST wifi! WHATMORECOULDYOUASKFOR? AMERICARUNSONDUNKINANDSODO I!!!

Guys it’s Dunkees. You have to be from New England or have spent some serious time there to understand that it’s not about the quality that makes this place so successful. Dunkin’ Donuts is a blue collar coffee shop through and through. That’s what it started as and that’s all it wants to be. They don’t have barista’s. They don’t use foreign names. They don’t have the best coffee in town. They don’t have the best doughnuts ever. DD has cashiers, styrofoam cups, coffee that tastes burnt, and average doughnuts. But that’s what makes it a staple in New England. You drink your hot coffee or your chai tea or your Dunkaccino on your way to hockey when it’s cold and rainy at six in the morning. You scarf down a sausage, egg, and cheese on a plain bagel before going into work at Market Basket(a grocery chain in Mass an NH). In the summer you drink large iced mocha with way too much cream and sugar and a styrofoam cup on the outside of your plastic cup on your way to the beach. I don’t expect true Californians to fully understand all the hype this place gets. I guess in a sense it’s not for you. It’s for everyone that grew up with it on the east coast and moved out here for one reason or another. If you look at the other Unilocal that’s what you’ll find. The folks that are from here give it 3 or 4 stars because they think it’s average. They’re not wrong. It is average. That’s why all the New Englanders on here love it and give it 5 stars. I will happily make the 65 mile trek from Vacaville periodically for my Dunkees fix! It’s not about coffee to me. It’s about feeling like I’m home again. Please enjoy your dunks for everything that it’s not and understand everything that it is.

The very first DD in Northern California?! I had to come! It’s a New York thing. I lived in midtown Manhattan for 6 months. And almost every day I walked by DD on my way to the Time Warner Building. New Yorkers LOVE their DD. I had to forgo my Starbucks once in a while to have DD coffee like a real New Yorker does. And you know what? It was good. Really good. Forward about 6 years, to the first DD opening in Northern California(first in the state was in SoCal). My heart went pitter patter. Yeah, yeah. I know you can get DD coffee at the grocery store now. But that’s just not the same. So to DD I went. Full of nostalgia. I went through the drive-thru. This part was not nostalgic because there wasn’t a drive-thru at my NYCDD. I ordered a blueberry iced coffee w cream. OMG Delicious! This made my day. I didn’t even order any donuts. Not until the next time. If I’m going to be honest, and I’m going to be… I don’t even come here for donuts. I think Krispy Kreme(SF) are better. And there’s Mr. T’s across the street! I come here just for the coffee. I gotta be me. 4 stars.

Since my move from east coast to west coast, it isn’t often I get to have the treat of a Dunkin’ Donuts stop, but when on a road trip through Modesto, it was a necessary pull-off for the family. Outside, the bright orange building catches the eye and the potted plants, mixed with artificial flowers, are very whimsical and inviting. There is a good amount of space for outdoor seating, but I really like the varied seating indoors, perfectly set up to create the conversation for any group’s size or makeup. I already knew I’d love the donuts and drinks, and our favorites plus several more were out and ready to be boxed up. I’d like to see an even wider variety of donut flavors available, like the wall of donuts I remember from my youth, but perhaps the brand needs to expand more into California for this to be so. The sweet, charming older lady behind the counter got it all set up promptly(I would not be surprised to learn she set up the colorful flowers outside — it’s very homey!). My mango smoothie was delicious, but perhaps needed to be blended more, as the straw was clogged with nearly every sip; a small glitch in an otherwise wonderful visit. See you next time!

As an ex-Bostonian I have especially missed my Dunkin’ Donuts iced hazelnut on hot summer nights… and even though the summers are nowhere near the same in California as in Massachusetts, for a minute I felt at home. Coffee is on point. That is all you need to know.

In my effort to welcome my good friend Dunkin Donuts into the state of California, I discovered that there was one waaaaay up in Modesto. How the heck would I get up there? Easy enough, I simply planned a trip to Sacramento… with a stopover in Modesto for Donuts. Three hundred miles and four and a half hours after departing my home in Santa Clarita, my eyes lit up as I saw the familiar sign of my favorite donut store. Excitedly, I pulled in and woke up my mom who was sleeping soundly in the passenger seat. I had finally arrived at yet another beloved Dunkin Donuts. Visiting from Massachusetts, where Dunkin Donuts are frequent and plentiful, she was not nearly as excited as I was to be reunited with a Dunkees. I got out of the car, and loudly stretched my tired muscles out before running excitedly into the store. The place was fairly crowded. Good sign for business. The place wasn’t fully packed with a line out the door. Good sign for me. I eagerly looked at their assortment of donuts, hoping to find my mid-morning snack. Awwww. look! They’ve got heart shaped donuts for Valentine’s day. I do enjoy their seasonal donuts. Wait… what? Cookie dough filling? Brownie Batter filling? Heck yeah! Oooh… and let’s that third heart shaped one too. I don’t care what’s in it. I will assume it’s full of love. I got my bag o’ donuts, and my large iced coffee and went over to the restaurant area to find a place to chillax and eat. I had been really looking forward to my treats after several hours in the car. There were tables, there were booths, there were even a few sets of comfy chairs sprinkled around the place. This place seemed to have a smidge of ‘coffee shop’ mixed in there for good measure. I took a seat in a comfy chair, and reserved one for my mom who was following right behind me. The seats were indeed as comfy as they looked, and a low table sat between them. A pair of cute girls sat at the table next to me, busily working on their laptops. As I was composing my Unilocal photo, they each smiled when they saw my heart donuts, and then commented on how incredibly tasty the cookie dough donuts were. I connected to their wi-fi bubble, and then snapped my photo. Then I snapped up the first donut to try. The cookie dough filled donuts were in fact, as good as everybody had touted them to be. The brownie batter filled donuts were also as good as they had been touted. The third donut, ‘cupid’s choice’ was also wonderful. The iced coffee was creamy and delicious, and gave me the caffeine kick I needed to complete the drive up to Sacramento. I really wanted to bring some heart donuts back to my schoolteacher, but alas, my adventure was just beginning, and I feared they would not keep the several days until I returned home. As always, stellar job Dunkin Donuts, I’m so glad that my good friend is coming back to the state. I will certainly endeavor to welcome each and every one as it arrives.

So my fiancée has been craving donuts for a week. I was going to go across the street to the famous Mr. T’s donut shop — the best donuts in the area. But then, I saw a bright shiny new sign that read, «Dunkin’Donuts». So I thought what the heck. Try something new to the area. I was amazed at how distant the taste was from what I expected. Whenever I heard of Dunkin’Donuts, I heard good reviews about it. Apparently not all Dunkin’Donuts are like McDonalds… The variety of partially eaten donuts that we sampled tasted 2+ days old, stale, over sweetened, and I had to gulp down a glass of milk to get rid of any remnants from my mouth. What a bad way to start. Here’s my Tip: if you open up a donut store like this, at least make it on the other side of town away from ANY donut stores/supermarkets — especially away from the BEST donuts in the area, Mr. T’s Donuts. Location, location, location — Marketing 101.

Overpriced donuts, mediocre drinks. There’s nothing really special about Dunkin Donuts. Why go here when there is a much more delicious donut shop(Mr. T’s) across the street, that’s less expensive. Service was friendly, the décor/atmosphere of the place is nice. Definitely doesn’t live up to the hype. Krispy Kreme and Mr. T’s is much better.
