Great little shop located in a busy shopping center. Love the location. Just wished it was opened on Sunday.

Let me start by saying, the people that work here are really nice. Great customer service. There are a lot of nice yarns here but not a very large selection. It’s the only yarn store in the area though, so thank goodness for that. Lots of Cascade and some nice local alpaca with the alpaca’s name on the label. Cute idea! Nice comfortable sitting area and very friendly people.

I’m a VERY busy, middle aged mom, with a little bit of patience, and a dream of being an artist… of some kind. I’ve got a few friends who are knitters and/or crocheters and am a teensy bit jealous. I’ve spent some money on some beautiful products made of yarn too! So, on one brave day, I stopped by Knitters Square, hoping they were nice, and that lessons were available and affordable. Before I was even to the door, a lovely lady named Wendi opened the door to let me in. My first wish came true!!! I decided $ 10 was maybe a reasonable price for a one hour lesson, so I signed my 16 year old daughter and myself up for a one-hour knit and a one-hour purl class. I also bought the yarn and needles for the classes. It was pretty scary, but boy is Wendi a great, kind teacher!!! My daughter and I went home doing a lot of things right! I’m not kidding when I say that I was really nervous I would be a great failure. Since then, since I was/am not a complete fail, I’ve taken a cowl class. I wish this site would let me post a picture. It’s not perfect, but it is a prize to me! It looks pretty good! A wonderful thing they do here when you’ve taken a class with them, is help you figure out your mistakes when you need help. You just bring your project in, and they are so patient, and encouraging. I feel a little frustrated when I have a «slipped stitch», but they just keep encouraging me. They also have a couple or few times a week that you can come in to sit and knit right there in a comfy circle of other crafters, who are equally cheerful and encouraging. I feel like I’ve made a bunch of new friends… like treasures. Loretta has«fixed me» a few times, and still has not complained. Nancy has helped also, and tells me my tension is good, or even, or something that makes me feel proud. My 70 year old mom and I don’t always get along great, and she’s a quilter, not a knitter. Somehow tho, because her mom was a knitter, this new love of mine, has linked us in a new and special way. She keeps praising my efforts and telling me how proud Gram would be. This is the only thing besides my home-made bread that she compliments me on at this time, and I’ll take it! Thanks to Linda, Nancy, Loretta, and Wendi! Y’all are good peeps! I plan to start my next project in the next week… as soon as I get my newest mess up fixed!

Nice shop, good selection of quality yarns. Helpful staff offering classes on learning to knit or crochet, and other techniques. They offer a seating area to sit, knit and socialize with other knitters during shop hours.
