Manager is not available. Wrote a survey for the company saying I wanted to be contacted, never heard a word. Employees said they would have the manager call on several occasions, never heard. Very poor customer service.

I go to Aaron brothers to purchase mats and frames for my photos. The good: Large table to layout my photos and try out mats and frames. Friendly staff and clean, well organized store. The needs improvement: larger variety of mats and frames. Just wish there were a location in Manteca.

I had a great experience here. I was at Michael’s originally looking for a portfolio for some of my artwork. It was an 11×14 and it was 19.99, I had a 40% off coupon too. Sadly, they were completely out and the nearest Michael’s that had one was in Tracy. So I did what any other human being should do and called Aaron Brothers to check if they had the portfolios. I was greeted quickly on the phone, informed that they did have them, they were cheaper too by a few bucks, this is great. The only part I had to ask now was if they took a Michael’s coupon. The girl on the phone informed me that they could, which is great. However, she then informed me that they currently had a 50% off coupon. Which is wonderful, but I didn’t have one! She then told me it was ok, she had plenty sitting around the store I could use! Needless to say I drove over there right away, the store was quiet and busy. Which usually doesn’t go hand in hand, but as an ex-framer, I know how chaotic it can be to keep people pleased at the counter. You have to frame while ringing everyone else up. If it’s your first time to an Aaron Brothers and you’re reading this, don’t be afraid to ask the framer to ring you up. They will stop helping the frame customer momentarily to make sure you’re rung up. Believe me, it’s their job, and they don’t mind one bit! So whoever complained they couldn’t get rung up, it’s because you stood around the corner at a closed register instead of where you should have rung up. I agree they should have spoken up and gotten you to come to the frame counter, but sometimes they won’t see you because they’re so involved making the customer’s frame job look great. That’s the bread and butter of the store, not the 12 dollar frame you bought, or scrapbooking pen. In the end I saved a lot of money, time, and gas going here. Guess how I got their number and information? Unilocal. So don’t be afraid to call here and ask about their inventory, they’re a great crew and I’ll be returning here for the rest of my portfolios throughout the next months!

I went here to pick up a couple frames and a mat one weekday morning right when they opened. The sales associate helped us find what we were looking for and then had to go to the framing desk to help other customers. I was also in need of a scrapbook type pen, unfortunately they were sold out of the pen I needed. At that point it was impossible to get any help from the two store associates because they were so consumed by the couple of other customers having their pictures framed. So I went to check out and there was NOONE available to help me. I waited at least twenty minutes at the register for one of the associates to complete her framing before coming over to the register to help me. Absolutely appalling service! This was my first and last visit to this store. I would have walked out but I needed the frames immediately for my wedding. The two people I was with shared with me that they always have that kind of experience there. If I’d had known that I would have skipped it all together with.

This review is actually 3 and half stars. I went in there today looking for a display easel for a larger portrait. The easels were reasonably priced. It seems like they are reducing their prices. I remember Aaron Brothers being VERY expensive. They have a lot of sales going on right now. They also had a decent selection of art supplies at reasonable prices. Their PRISMACOLOR art sets are 50% off right now, that is a bargain. I bought a set of Verithin colored pencils for about 8 bucks. I also bought some cute little notebooks for my bridesmaids. The only reason I took stars off is because they didn’t have not one person on the floor to help out if I had any questions. The cashier person was in the back and had to be called out. Otherwise they have a decent selection of frames and art supplies and at good prices as long as they are on SALE. I’m glad I have another place to shop for art supplies.
