The girl who was working the drive thru this morning around 9am, needs to calm her attitude when talking to customers. Extremely rude to myself and was rushing us to order. Awesome how when we asked for her name at the window she completely ignored the question and when we asked to see if she was the one taking our order she completely lied and said it was some girl Amanda.

Even though I enjoy Starbucks, this particular Starbucks does not have the best service. I waited patiently for about 15 minutes for my drink. Compared to customers who were in line behind me. Perhaps it was because I am a 19 year old Mexican. I say this because the customers behind me were middle aged white Caucasian men. Either way, it was still terrible service. After I received my drink, an apology and an excuse(they said my cup must have got lost) for forgetting my order, I sat down to enjoy my beverage. As I was thinking about my situation, I noticed that a middle aged white man sat down for about a minute waiting for his drink when one of the baristas walked around the cashier counter(not to mention that the rest of the baristas were all busy attending orders while there was still a line of customers) to confirm that he wanted room for his black coffee. My overall experience at this Starbucks today was disappointing. I feel a little discriminated and ignored because of my race and age.

When I moved a few months ago I started using this Starbucks since it was close to home. I would come by in the morning around 7 am and there was never a long line, yet 3 mornings in a row I had to wait for them to brew Pike. Unacceptable! So I started going back to my old favorite at McHenry and Briggsmore in the morning. Yesterday I was running late in the morning and decided to try this one again. Guess what… they were out of Pike and I just told them to forget it. Before I left, for no reason at all I checked the half n half and they were both empty. I’m surprised the managers here haven’t been fired by the big bosses.

For years I have ordered my kids a grande iced water with 2 pumps of raspberry. Today, I drive thru and this guy working the drive thru says he can’t do that. He says it’s unconventional and an inventory conundrum. Those were his words not mine. Rather than ordering the 3 other drinks, I also wanted– we left and drove to another Starbucks and they happily filled the order.

I like Starbucks but this one is its own… I don’t think they have every made a drink correctly and seems pretty inconsistent. Lines are always long and production is slow. I know it’s by a hospital but have been to plenty others that are busier and are more fast pace… But I keep going back because I’m lazy and it’s the closest drive thru… Oakdale rd is a better choice

Unfortunately, this is the closest starbucks to me so when we don’t feel like driving to the crossroads starbucks we come here. Usually they are out of at least one item ranging from bagels to knives pretty much anything I try to order besides coffee. Expect to wait in line in the drive thru for a minimum of 10 min I’ve waited around 20 before with only a few cars in front of us. Needless to say, I will be moving in a week or so and will NEVER come back to this starbucks if life depended on it. That’s how much I hate it… but really wanted a coffee this morning.

Clean, great store. Love the staff, and the location. Avoid the drive-thru, but I know that’s why you and everyone else hits this one up. And you make it difficult, so remember, keep it simple and be concise. Help everyone out by knowing what you want and how to order it. No one likes a grumpy, self-entitled jerk holding everything up and then leaving a negative Unilocal review because they are too stupid to figure out how to interact with people. This is a great store. Just know karma is real.

We stood around for a couple mins, keep in mind no one is in line. I asked them if they wanted to help us. Finally we got some help. They ran out of coffee, so instead of telling me they ran out of coffee they gave me 4 ounces of coffee, I asked for a short in a tall(so I had room for cream) I brought it to their attention. Regardless they should’ve told me first instead of giving me 4 ounces of coffee, and I shouldn’t have stood around for a couple mins and asked them if they could take my order. They did give me a free coffee certificate for my next order . The layout is nice and there is an ample amount of seats, and the place was clean but terrible customer service.

Starbucks is awesome. This location has taken care of me very well. Remembering my name. Great new GOOGLEWIFI! Nice and fast, and easy to get connected. When they messed up my order they took care of me well.

I stopped through the drive through today to use one of my rewards coupons and try a new drink. I stopped at the window and Jacob started talking to me like we were old friends. He was commenting on my car window décor, I like stickers. Small chatting it up and being an awesome guy, while we waited for my drink to be made. I went around 2 pm. and there was only one in car in front of me. I will continue to keep coming to this Starbucks because of the drive through and the cool people that this location has.

This is my usual location for morning coffee. I’ve never had a drink made incorrectly or rude service, which is great. But a huge downside is that, 4 out of 5 visits, I am stopped by someone begging me for money. Even in the drive through. Don’t get me wrong, I’m not insensitive… but I also don’t appreciate people jumping in front of my car and flagging me down, when I’m clearly rushing, to ask for money. If they were to ask me for food, I would happily purchase something for them. Second downside is that you can’t avoid a line unless you’re going after 7 pm. The drive through will take you a minimum of 20 minutes and while the wait inside isn’t as bad, it comes with people following you to your car asking for money.(How can you not feel like a bad person carrying a 6 dollar coffee while saying no… but I personally don’t carry cash.) I digress… All in all, if you have 20 minutes and some change to spare, it’s not a bad location.

Several years ago, I picked up a Starbucks gift card at this location for my wife, loaded it with $ 50.00, took the card which I put in a birthday card for her and hid it in her purse the morning of her birthday. At noon that day, she called me to thank me for both cards, saying that she was in Starbucks at this location and that she was enjoying a Caramel Frappacino during her lunch break. She called me at 5:30 that afternoon, saying that she’d gone back to this Starbucks to get another frappacino and that she’d run out of money on this card. I got into my car and drove down to the store to check for myself, taking my receipt with me. At the store, I was told that there was no evidence that this card had ever had any credit on it. My receipt proved nothing to them. I paid cash and told my wife never to go back to this store. About two months later, my wife’s class and the students’ parents all chipped in to give my wife a gift card with a $ 50.00 credit to it. In that this particular Starbucks is the closest to her school, my wife returned to the store and used the card. She was handed back the card and told that there was no credit on the card. At my insistence, my wife contacted one of the parents who had organized the Christmas gift and told her of her experience. Several outraged parents drove down to the store to demand action be taken, showing their receipt for the credit they’d put on the card. They were told to prove that any credit had been put on this card and suggested that my wife — a long time Starbucks customer AND stockholder — had simply picked up a blank card and had tried to defraud the store with it. The outraged parents demanded that a manager call them but after two years, no such call has ever been received. I had originally called American Express, whose card I used to load the credit to my wife’s gift card, after the first incident and got the shock of my life. Apparently, Starbucks customers have been suspected of getting ripped off by Starbucks employees for years in the Los Angeles area, when employees were believed to be putting credit on one card and handing a blank card back to the customer at the time that the card was first thought to be loaded with a credit, or, the employee would debit the card for the purchase but would hand a blank card back to the unsuspecting customer. These practices were becoming a popular ruse by thieves working as Starbucks employees; the practice has been spreading quickly throughout California and elsewhere — and Starbucks headquarters had been getting complaints about the thefts for years. It is nearly impossible to catch the sleight-of-hand by clever employees. If you must patronize Starbucks — and, as a stockholder, it pains me to say that — use cash. Get a receipt, and count your change. Starbucks is a great place for coffee, but I’d suggest that you go to another store until the thief or thieves are caught and brought to justice. 2015 update: Despite all attempts to resolve this matter, each manager I have spoken with promised a return call: i’d love to change this rating, but not without being given a hearing of the pertinent facts.

Their Brewed coffee is usually Luke-warm. Go to the Safeway Starbucks if possible. They are the best.

Terrible! This Starbucks drive thru is on my way to work and I really try NOT to stop here, but sometimes I just feel masochistic. I have been in line for 20 minutes. I am always stuck in this line for 20 — 25 minutes. Every frakkin time. They are the SLOWEST Starbucks in the history of ever.

I’m surprised of the low rating this Starbucks has. It’s probably one of the busiest in Modesto! They do have outdoor seating but it’s very limited. This particular Starbucks is great for their drive through! Great quick service & staff is always friendly.

If you don’t hear your name called the first time, you’ll need to check because they will just let it sit there(even though there were only 3 groups sitting down when I went). I went at 8pm in the evening, and there weren’t that many people there — so don’t expect a long time at all hours of the day, it just depends on when you go. I actually met a few friends here to talk about some business plans, and the seating turned out to be pretty good for this circumstance. The long table is something I haven’t seen at many other Starbucks’. Although, I was a little disappointed when I found out there wasn’t a second story(like other Starbucks’ that I’ve been to =/) As always, the coffee is good. It isn’t the best Starbucks that I’ve been to, and it isn’t the worst either. As a coffee-lover, I would stop here again for want of any other place to get coffee in the area.

They have a nice place here. Last time I tried a latte that I hated, but I would assume that means I don’t like lattes. (The) Time before last, I had a Vanilla Bean Frappucino. It was prepared nicely and quickly. Plus, it’s on Coffee Road! Tee-hee… Overall, this is a good Starbucks location.

Dude seriously? I don’t know why every time I come here and wait a god damn eternity for a drink that it’s somehow a fluke and next time the service will be on point. Evvvvverytime I come to this location it takes at LEAST15 minutes to even get a god damn regular coffee! I can’t understand how this must be! As a former Starbucks barista from one of the busiest, craziest locations on the Peninsula these guys should be ashamed of the snails pace that they keep. I could run circles these guys behind the counter! Speaking of which! There are 6 – 7 people back there and I’m still in line??? Being behind the apron for years and seeing this go down is doubly infuriating. I hate this location to the bone. Starbucks went way, way wrong when they started introducing the automated espresso machines and serving hot food. I think they need to start focusing on better staff training and get back into the coffee business and out of the«fast» food business. Store manager, I hope you read this and start kicking some asses into gear. Rant over.

This is pretty close to my house so I’ve been here numerous times, and from all of my visits I have decided that I *hate* this Starbucks. The service is extremely slow, and when they do call out your order you better listen up, because if you don’t hear it they probably won’t call it out again. Your drink will just sit there until you go check –_______– The drive-thru is pretty slow as well. The staff here is usually not very friendly, they just kinda get the job done. The only pro to this place is the fact that it has a drive-thru and that it has a good amount of seating which is probably the only reason I return.
