Über good grocery store. There are certain items which not only you can’t find any place else but also they have the best comparable pricing. The only technical drawback of Trader Joe’s is its ownership by Germans. I hate German ratzillas period but I absolutely love this store concept. :)

Living 40 minutes away I’ll often pass by the particular Joe’s on the way home. You’ve been to one TJ’s, you’ve been to them all. Do I need to shop here for snacks? no. Do I want to shop here for snacks? Absolutely! Skip the veggies, meats and alcohol as I’m only here for the junk food. A couple of armfuls of dark chocolate this and hat chile mac and cheese that and I’m a happy camper. And this being TJ’s, your wallet doesn’t take much of a hit. Modestonians(is that what you call yourselves?) you should count yourself lucky for having a slice of heaven in your fair city. As for me, I don’t mind the highway exit and foray into Modesto if I can come home with a cornucopia of tasty snacks.

My favorite store… the employees are the best! I want to say something about an employee that goes over and beyond. I believe his name is Russell. A few months ago I overheard him asking an elderly lady how her and her husband were and she told him that he had passed away. A little while later I was walking down another aisle and saw him carrying a bouquet of flowers for her. He really knows his customers and it touched me!

The warmness increased and I’ve been coming here steadily! It’s so great to have this place right down the street and even greater that they still continue to be a huge ally in my fight against the fat! I’m already looking forward to my next visit although my pocketbook would beg to differ ;-)

Love this Trader Joe’s ! I’m so happy Modesto has a TJ because it’s my favorite place to shop ! Everyone 1 who works here always has a smile on there face & our super friendly & helpful. TJ is always clean and well organized. Love love love there groceries. And they are very good about returns which makes me happy. If produce go’s bad to quick no problem they will take back and replace it. I’ve only seen such ease at returns at Costco & Nordstrom.

I love this place! They have so many yummy things to try… price is right, selection is huge, store is clean and the employees are always friendly. I love their frozen«naan» bread, tastes authentic. They have so many quick dinner items I can keep in my freezer when we want something quick and tasty. I’m so glad we have a Trader Joe’s here!

Just moved to the area and the familiarity of Trader Joe’s softens the blow of the transition. Service is on point. The samples girl was chipper, sold me on some chicken dish. I think it was a shift lead or manager of some sort walking through the store, not going somewhere, just looking around for a way to be of service, crazy concept. She could see that my 2 toddlers were being nightmares and came over and asked if she could help me with something, I asked for a padded room to lock the kids in while I shopped, she laughed. She got me and the kids on the search for the frog, their mascot. Gave me a hint and the kids got the lolly pops at the end. The store was clean, produce was way better than where I’m from, I wouldn’t ever buy trader joes produce before, this place however, amazing! They had tons of new products for fall, only down side is that it’s set up completely different than what I’m used to, so everything takes longer to find. But the staff is so nice!

This is a solid location! The fruit was ripe and full of flavor. Everything was stocked fully. Lines moved quickly. The checker gave my kid a bunch of cute scratch n’ sniff stickers, and rang the bell for her upon request.(Which prompted an employee to shuffle over and ask what needed assistance).

Couldn’t find anything on the list of products my nutritionist gave me at this Trader Joe’s. Nothing. Zilch. Nada. Bummer.

You vote with your dollars and I choose to spend my money here. This is a great place. It looks small at first but if you take the time to browse through you will find almost everything you need for half the price of sprouts. No organic nuts though. I used to be a sprouts fan but this place is sooo much cheaper. 80% of all merchandise is their store brand. I only switched because we did a case study on trader joes in my business ethics class and learnt about how awesome they are. CLEANESTPUBLICBATHROOMEVER !

When I returned to California, I half-expected to see a Trader Joe’s on every corner because of all the organic, alternative foods they have. I generally prefer the other brother’s grocery – Aldi – that ends up with more typical food, including a lot of German and Swiss specialties but they don’t seem to be in California at all. I was looking for something in particular – Macarons – those fancy meringue cookies that are a pain to make that usually cost nearly $ 3.00 a piece. They had a very small dozen in the frozen section for $ 4.99. Each cookie is bite-sized. It’s good but maybe I was expecting more from it than it should deliver? I don’t know. In any case, i wanted to taste them to see if they were worth it. I talked to a couple of the employees there and they were friendly. Prices are reasonable, and they certainly have plenty of alternatives that you won’t find in everyday grocery stores.

I love Trader Joe’s. Lots of healthy and organic options to supplement my regular grocery list. There really is something for everyone here. It’s a common misconception that the store items are expensive, but that’s just not the case. Just a few of our favorites are the whole wheat lavash bread, speciality sliced cheeses, ALL the hummus flavors, spicy black bean dip, heirloom tomatoes, garlic chipotle salsa, basmati rice, chia, the single serving veggie lasagna, potstickers, and the tomato and roasted red pepper soup. And don’t forget to put a box of the 70 calorie mini cones on your basket! Everyone who works here is super friendly and helpful. Don’t forget to sample the«spotlight cheese» in the cheese area!
