Best Buy

I’ve visited this store numerous times but today I’ve just had it. Staff is so unhelpful.
Before arriving to thus store today I checked online store availability on a product I was interested in purchasing.
When I got there NO ONE greeted me all I got was a stare. I went to the back and I asked a gentleman about a case I had looked at online that best buys website said was available and his response was «I’m kind of helping somebody». And he said not to rely on what the website tells me as far as availability that it’s usually not accurate.
The area where the iPad cases were was A MESS. Boxes were ripped and open and the prices were illegible so I didn’t even know how much certain products were.
It’s sad because this is a time where electronics and technology are what human kind uses and what we depend on and Best Buy is the place to go.
That’s why this store is getting 1 star from me today. If I could give 0 stars I would. It was a mess and the staff was extremely unhelpful!

buyer beware of this store. Purchased a new Samsung phone in August of this year and was talked into the extended warranty. Was explained that in the event the phone takes a dump and they can not repair it they would issue a new phone, NOT! Well the phone upon shut down the light near the camera comes on and stays on till it is powered up. Went back and they were unable to fix the issue even took me over to the Samsung kiosk in the store and after soft reset, diagnostic test and the final hard reset which puts it back to out of the box the light remained lit. Sales person stated i would get a reconditioned phone via UPS which i refused. Canceled the geek squad insurance and this store or any Best buy has lost me as a customer! BUYER BEWARE BEFORE MAKING ANY PURCHASES IN THIS STORE AND STAY AWAY FROM THEIR GEEK SQUAD RIP OFF WARRANTIES!

Today I had to visit this best buy for help with my beats pill (don’t buy a pill! they are not well made!) and the customer service staff was very helpful and friendly. They did more than they had to in order to help me solve my problem and I am very appreciative.

I’ve been in some pretty bad Best Buys over the years in the pursuit of clearance video games and replacement cables for stuff, but this particular store went above and beyond today. (While I’m pretty technically inclined, the stuff around me has an above-​normal failure rate, probably because of an ancient gypsy curse or something. How many times do I have to replace a co-​ax cable in a year before we get a TV signal back, angry gypsies?!?)
Not only were they extremely helpful in assisting me fix a dumb mistake I made with an incorrect purchase, without any hassles whatsoever, but they expressed a genuine concern and understanding for the tech problem I was dealing with. I left with my problem 100% solved, and it was clear that the guys working here know their stuff when it comes to the products they sell. I do most of my tech shopping online, but after this week, I’m going to make it a point to come to this Best Buy more often. I am a consumer whore, but it feels pretty good.

Geeksquad was totally useless for me. I brought my laptop to have the cooling fan replaced. Paid for shipping, paid for backup. There was no contact until computer is «repaired and ready for pickup». Strange. Went to store to find my computer was not repaired and that «I» had refused the repair”. Nonsense. No one contacted me. They diagnosed that it was the cooling fan, also. Exactly what I told them but it «could not be repaire». Then Supervisor Julio stated Dell did not have the part or refused to supply it for some reason. Claiming my laptop was outdated and obsolete and that is how «Dell» gets you to buy a new one. Total BS. I called Dell the next day and purchased the cooling fan for $ 17 shipped to me. I then called Julio back and he said he can’t guaranty that will work to fix computer and basically refused to install it. This iz after THEY diagnosed this was the problem DO NOT USE GEEKSQUAD. They only want to sell you new products via Best Buy. I should have known when I saw them do it to the previous customer, also. «Your computer cannot be repaired and you’ll need a new one». Since when can a computer NOT be repaired? Going Elsewhere for everything now that they tried this.

Geek Squad supervisor «Michael» was hostile and refused to replace defective parts on my laptop. Wanted me to pay over 800 dollars to replace defective parts installed by geek squad. Absolutely terrible service all around. Will not recommend to anyone.

Kudos to Julio and the gang at Geek Squad for their expertise in installing an Invisible Shield on my iPhone6. And thanks so much for going the extra mile and reinstalling it not once, not twice, but three times to in order to get it right for a very fussy customer (i.e. Me).

Normally, I hate going into Best Buy for information because they usually cannot answer questions about their own products, but today’s phone call was different. My laptop had a pop up stating that I needed to replace the internal battery, so I called over to Best buy since that’s where the computer was bought. The first time I called for the Geek Squad but no one answering the phone. I called again to speak with customer service and spoke to Asham. She was kind enough to find out the information for me and gave me some suggestions too. Thanks a bunch!

I don’t often have the need to shop in a store like this, but from now on, given the opportunity to, I’m coming here. I posted a review of the shoddy treatment I got in Verizon… well I came here to solve the problem (and I didn’t just spend over $ 300 here) and they were gracious and helpful and fixed the issue.
Verizon…SUCK IT.

UGH — I don’t think the staff is very knowledgeable.
Hubby went in for a new phone — Droid Galaxy S4. He saw a promo in his email saying something along the lines of when you order a new phone you get a $ 50 gift card. The guy trying to help my hubby claimed he didn’t know anything about it and told him to go home and do it online. My hubby asked if he could do it in the store for him but he was told no, you need to try it at home bc he wasn’t sure how to do it…
LATER ON THAT NIGHT I SAW A COMMERCIAL ADVERTIZING THAT EXACT PROMO FOR THE STORE (not net)… hubby did it on the internet anyways and is now waiting for the phone to come in.. . HAD THE STAFF MEMBER DONE IT IN THE STORE HUBBS WOULD HAVE THE PHONE ALREADY!!! just sayinggggg!!!

This beats on line shopping for two basic reasons: 1) you can touch and use almost anything before you buy it and 2) the staff is knowledgable and helpful once you corral someone

Best Buy shopping experience– Harassed about a credit card. Standing near some electronic item I need help I can see as the Associates doing their best to not notice anyone. Some are standing around talking with one another, some are clearly gossiping between TVs and the customer service counter. The one nearest me is stocking shelves, but still. Two are actually just shopping, SHOPPING! This experience has been shared in Kingston and now Harriman… fix it! The cashier was nice.
