This location has seriously gone down hill, I don’t know if management or staffing or anything has changed but they didn’t have 3 separate ingredients for items that were ordered so I had to change it — I basically created my own sandwich because I couldn’t have the one I ordered. Then an item we did order they didn’t bring out the dipping sauce that comes with it so we had to wait for her to come back and check on us to ask for it again. When we were leaving I asked for a box but she never came back so we just got up and left and she gave me a box at the registered like I was supposed to go back to the table and get the food I just left there. Then I was emailed a coupon but apparently you can’t use coupons there unless they’re printed out because they need to be physical stapled to the receipt which is kind of stupid in my opinion — there is a bar code in the EMAILYOUSENTME but you cant use it. Wont be back again.

Once a month I get my haircut at the BEST place anywhere around(Go, Chop Shop!). And(Perversely) I keep hoping the WORST place for breakfast anywhere around will surprise me(Dennys). The food is actually not the worst part of things… sullen service, alternating with LOUD, CHATTY, OBNOXIOUS service, is. When you go there, and you should, if only to prove to yourself these places exist, start banging on the table and demanding service IMMEDIATELY. If you don’t, you WILL sit there for a half hour with NO service at all. Then, if you’re in Gina’s section you will be BURIED in grab and ridiculously paced«How you doin’? Kin I get you anythin’?» every 30 seconds. Super annoying, and NOT good service.

Great food, friendly service and management! Love the the fact that the general manager, twyla, makes it a point to check on me frequently to make sure that I’m being taking care of! I recommend this place to anyone that looking for a good meal!

As Denny’s go this has always been the best around. But not today! Short staffed when we went in around 4 pm. Quickly they brought our drinks. We could see the problems & we’re very patiently waiting until another couple came in. Sat near our table. Like us the got their drinks right away. Then a server came to take their order. No one asked us. It’s now 5 pm on a Saturday night so we grabbed Steak & Shake to bring home! You need a better Manager than the one that was there tonight. He’s been there a long time. But he didn’t handle your restaurant well today. We used to come in a lot.

This one of are favorite restaurants. Milk Shakes made like I had when I was teenager. Hand made burgers my favorite double bacon cheese burger with seasoned fries Breakfast so many to chose from all all excellent I been going to Denny’s for as long as I could remember in several states and everyone had great food.

Went in at 11:30 and walked out still hungry and mad at 12:25 when our food was not on the table and waitress couldn’t tell us when it would be out. Left $ 10 to cover the beverages and walked over to White Castle. This was after the 5 seconds of summer concert up the road. The place was full but not overly busy. Wouldn’t you anticipate a crowd after a concert that is at a venue up the road. Ridiculous! I visit this area often as my family lives close and will share this horrible experience with ALL of them.

Nothing special it was Denny’s! The server Erin made everything worthwhile she was very pleasant. There were a lot of teenagers there for such a late hour. They ended up receiving way more attention from some of the waitstaff than what seemed necessary with some of the young ladies even going so far as to sit in the group. The manager acted as if he didn’t want me to use the $ 5 Unilocal check in discount. Total lackluster experience, but again., it’s Denny’s.

In town from Texas to help clear an aunts estate and again chose this location because of how well the staff treated us the last time we were here. It has been right at a year and as soon as we walked the door, gina knew who we were and we were so excited to see she was still here. Food was prompt and hot. We will continue to stop in here when we are in Mokena. Keep up the great work Gina.

I’ll never forget this place. I once took someone here that is very near and dear to my heart. This visit in particular is on my top 10 best memory list. So I guess you could my review might be biased. First I like Denny’s because it is cheap for breakfast compared to some of the brunch places that will charge upwards of $ 20 per plate. I know I can go to Denny’s and pick two breakfast entrées off of their value menu and that’s spend over $ 15 unless orange juice or coffee is added to the bill. sure it’s not the best breakfast in the world but if all you’re looking for some French toast eggs and hashbrowns, this place will do. The service here has always been great too. I’ve never had a complaint to make. The servers have always been on top of their game. The only complaint that I can think of is that sometimes the parking lot is packed and you have to do some illegal parking like alongside the building or next to the curb that divides the parking spots from the exit.

Gross!!! Our food was cold and our waitress was very slow, she never came back to refill our coffees or waters! I asked for my bacon«well done» and it came out pretty much still raw, didn’t even asked to send it back because we waited over an hour for our food.

Sigh. While the food is good & typical Dennys, the cleanliness is not there. At 6 am on a Friday, you are not that busy… So I think that between the servers & a busboy, someone could wipe down the tables properly: clean behind the salt n pepper, wipe down the actual salt n pepper shakers, wipe down the menus, and the window blinds and the ledges are soooooo dusty! Come on, guys!

The workers are always rude and act like they hate their job, which is sad because the few times I come here a year I generally tip 20−50%(small check usually). But if I have the choice(other places are still open) I’d rather not waste my time it is nothing special. Being a tipped worker myself I am actually shocked at how rude monotone quiet and unfriendly most workers here can be.

This place was great for a period of time and I actually gave it 5 stars(which I rarely do), however, my last 2 visits were less than I was expecting based on my previous visits. Two visits ago we ordered shakes and they came to the table about 15 minutes later with the consistency of milk. We asked if they had been sitting or something. The waitress said they were just made and left it at that. We showed the manager who was walking by and he had them remade correctly. There were good after being made correctly(or not sitting for 15 minutes). My last visit was very disappointing though. My food sat ready for at least 7 minutes at the pass and that’s after I noticed it was there so it could have been longer. I assume they were waiting on my girlfriend’s food. Her food was hot and she said it was seasoned well. My food was just a touch above room temperature. I don’t understand when there are 6 other people in the restaurant, how hard it is to have everything ready at the same time. I asked for it to be remade because it was cold. I could hear the waiter asking the kitchen to remake the plate(we were sitting right there). There was some argument and then I heard the Mexicans in the kitchen giving an attitude about the request. I told them to forget making a new plate and just enjoyed my water for dinner. What a huge disappointment. The food did look good but I’m not about to spend $ 10 for cold food. I really hope they shape up because I really like the food when it’s made correctly.

Denny’s. This location is right off of I-80 and from the outside looks a bit small, but it’s always clean and perfectly lit at night during my visits. I’ve stopped here specifically for the turkey dinner. I don’t know what it is, but I always have the turkey dinner when I come to this location. It’s always been juicy, the vegetables are steaming, and the desserts are actually slightly lower in price, but they’re definitely not lower in quality. The waitstaff to tend to get dumped on a LOT by the younger crowds, as I’ve witnessed first hard more than once… and I always try to be extra generous with MY tip if I see that type of uncouth behavior.

Following an interesting evening at 191 South, a friend and I headed to Denny’s down the street to relive some of our pre-21 days(you know, when we couldn’t go anywhere except 24-hour diners). It was around midnight, and though the place was staffed, several tables were unbussed and dirty. Our server was alright — satisfactorily friendly — and the food was typical. I was a bit shocked that I was charged extra for seasoned fries. Shows how often I eat at Denny’s — when did they start doing that?! My friend and I each ordered burgers + fries, but one of us had a LOT more fries than the other, so things weren’t consistent. The ODDEST thing, though, was a patron who was seated alone by the front of the restaurant. He slept on and off, snoring loudly at times. It was clear — judging by the crusted-over leftovers on his plates — that he had been there for at least a few hours. The staff(you know, instead of cleaning or bussing tables) stood a few feet away at the register area, looking at him and talking about him loudly enough for other patrons to hear. Now, I’m not sure what the protocol is for a sleeping/snoring patron, but that was pretty rude for staff to do. On top of it, some jerkbag patrons were snapping pictures of themselves with the snoring guy. I felt bad for him; he was being mocked and laughed at, and Denny’s staff just stood by. We were there for over an hour ourselves, and when we were walking out the door, a staff member WAS trying to rouse the patron. I overheard the staff member asking the guy if he wanted a cab called. Gee, ya think?! Should have done that hours ago. Oy.

I stopped here this morning after getting off my shift down the road in New Lenox at around 3:00AM. At the point when I’m writing this, I’ve been at the restaurant for the past 3 hours. I’ve sat here with a mug of coffee for the past 2 hours and the waitstaff has been nothing short of amazing. They’ve come by every now and again to check on me and ask me if I’d like more coffee, but otherwise, I’ve been left to my devices(most of which have been me working on graphics for work). I’m also very happy because the WiFi here is free and unrestricted. You connect, and you’re good to roll. If I need to pull another late night between shifts, this will be my go-to spot again.

Oh, man… am I really doing this? Yes, I’m reviewing a Denny’s. If that’s not bad enough, I will admit I’ve been here more times than I’d like anyone to know. This particular Denny’s was unfortunately one of the only late night places to hit up throughout my high school years and beyond in the area. I’ve been drunk here, I’ve been hungover here, I’ve been kicked out, I’ve been banned for fighting… again? So many memories. The end scene in Pineapple Express where after a crazy night inevitably they end up at a diner and go over the ‘I can’t believe that happened’ ‘s and ‘yeah you really did that’ ‘s… yeah, pretty accurate. Well. maybe not as extreme, but you get the point. What would we do without you, Denny’s? What. would. we. do… I know for sure I wouldn’t be craving those damn onion rings! What do they put in those things? P. S. The staff are saints for putting up with the ever-flowing riff raff of drunken jerks.

This is a typical Denny’s with all the usual things on the menu. It’s open 24⁄7 and it serves all the meals on the menu all the time, the same as other Denny’s I’ve been to. There are always several vegetarian options available at Denny’s. They actually make one of my favorite restaurant veggie burgers – ask for the Boca Burger. You can also substitute a Boca patty on any of their speciality burgers. Denny’s is what it is… This one won’t let you down, and I ate here twice while we were in Mokena, because it’s fast, convenient, and always open!
