Not only are the workers friendly, but the food is ready so fast! Great for a quick bite to eat for breakfast or a lengthy get-together for lunch. I would definitely recommend this joint.

I’ve come here dozens of times and can say without a doubt this is one of my favorite breakfast spots. Food is delicious and comes out quick. Severs are very attentive and friendly. I’m picky when it comes to breakfast but eggcetera is the best.

Unfortunately our server was in the wrong business because she was not friendly at all. She checked on every table but mine. Had to basically beg for a coffee refill and the hollandaise sauce on the eggs Benedict was terrible. Definitely won’t be back!

I love this place because of the food — it’s always good. The prices are very reasonable. They’re always extremely busy when we go so it is kind of chaotic. The service isn’t always the best because they do get so busy. Sometimes we go the entire meal without seeing our waitress until the check is dropped off when we’re done. Don’t get me wrong, they’re always very friendly… just not very attentive. I’m not a very fussy customer so I usually overlook that because I typically am very happy with the food.

Really bad service but when the food is good you don’t mind, well the food was not great and the service was really bad, waitress walked away and stayed on her phone for 15min before coming to get our order. I’m not picky but I do look for great service and this place is not.

We came in for mothers day. We were told it was a brunch only buffet. Ok fine. Sat down, took a bit too long to be greeted by server, as we weren’t sure if we should just get up to get our food. But no big deal. The real issue was with their pricing. $ 17.99 per plate for an adult and $ 8.99 for my 4 year old daughter! The pricing would have been ooook if the quality of the food matched the cost. It didn’t. It was a glorified hotel contenental breakfast. Seriously. Eggs. Hash browns. Biscuits and gravy. That sort of thing, the only difference is the juice and coffee was not even included in the price. At least in the hotel that’s free! And it was all just ok. $ 60 for a hotel breakfast. Rediculous pricing. Average food that certainly doesn’t match the pricing(my only experience is with buffet so I can’t speak on their regular menu) Ok service. Won’t be going back.(They also included a flower with the meal)

If you need a quick sandwich tray for a business meeting mid-day, this is the place to call! I ordered a mix of wraps and deli sandwiches for 8 people. What they delivered was delicious, fresh, and lots more than I expected!

Well I’m sure that the food was great, but I was never even seated before one of the«cooks» went to whisper to his buddy to check out my girlfriend while we were waiting. Lets just say that didn’t set a good tone and we decided to leave because of how blatantly obvious it was. I refuse to go here again. You can’t trust the cooks!

Skip this place. So many better breakfast places. Server was nice but food is too high priced and low quality. There was a draft so bad at our table napkins blowing right off. Even after showing them my burnt cinnamon french toast they apologized but didn’t adjust the bill. And up charged 1.50 for turkey sausage and 1.00 for gluten free bread.

We have now become regulars here at Eggcetera. Although our first trip to this restaurant started off rocky, it has redeemed itself and has become our favorite breakfast spot so far in the Mokena area. The place is never crowded, which is great because the servers are wonderful and attentive to serving just your family! The food is good and very filling. My skillet was $ 8.50, but it was a lot of food and I couldn’t even finish what was on my plate.

This is far from being my favorite breakfast spot. I will admit I’m pretty picky when it comes to breakfast. This place was a bit below average though. The coffee was awful! I make good coffee at home so I expect a decent cup when I’m out paying for it. It’s quite possibly the worst coffee I’ve ever been served at a breakfast spot. The food was basically average. Nothing was bad. The menu was basic though. I think there are several spots far better than here all close by.

Not a bad place. I had the meat lovers omelet with a side of fruit and a pancake in place of bread. I thought 2 slices of bread would equal 2 pancakes but hey it filled the need. All were good, service was good. Just the atmosphere seems out of whack, to much open space. Not bad but i prefer others in the area.

I haven’t been here since they first opened. It was really crowded and didn’t get a good vibe from that experience. Last Sunday morning at 10 the place was empty. I got the same vibe from the atmosphere. Lame! The service was good as they had nothing else to do. I had the lumberjack special. 3 eggs, bacon, ham, sausage, hash browns and toast. The eggs were cold and the whole plate tasted bland. Even after I covered the plate in pepper. I had the feeling as though I was eating in a cafeteria. The booths were homemade, unlike the food. Very uncomfortable. I’ll pass on this one!

One star because the food was good. Another star for the décor and environment. From the time my boyfriend and I walked through the door until we were seen by a waitress, 15 minutes already passed. She never introduced herself or welcomed us to the restaurant and we went straight to ordering. My boyfriend asked the waitress if the lox platter was filling and she basically described the plate, which was on the menu, then told him that its about as filling as a plate of salmon and a bagel. Duh. I ordered the Canadian Scrambler which was good. But it took 30 minutes for our food to come out and a table of four who got there 5 minutes after us got their food and left 10 before us. Sorry, I went for breakfast and because we were there so long we left at lunchtime. And I’m not coming back

Food is good. Waitstaff is attentive. Owner is not pleasant at all though. It’s a shame that there are not many places to eat breakfast Mokena, and this one pops up and serves good food, but isn’t very welcoming. On various occasions I’ve walked in with my family and have barely been acknowledged by the owner. No smile, no friendly hello from him. We are customers patronizing his place, so you would think that he would be happy to have people walk in his doors. He’s also weird about bringing in outside coffee to his restaurant. I’m sorry, but I’ve brought my Starbucks or bottled water into various places, and it’s never been an issue. No need to give rude glares or claim it’s a «health issue». Hopefully some other people speak up and he gets a clue to cheer up!

After dining at or ordering from this tasty breakfast nook more than once over the past several weeks, I’ve come to discover that everything about it is mostly good. The service is decent, though not above and beyond… but the food is outstanding. It’s rare that I can find a breakfast locale that serves amazing corned beef hash along with amazing biscuits and gravy, does a mean lunch menu, AND knows how to poach an egg.(Usually. This is trickier with to-go orders, so I don’t fault them for that.) While I wasn’t thrilled with their Caesar salad dressing, the huge portion of grilled chicken and fresh Romaine lettuce more than made up for it. The Santa Fe grilled chicken sandwich was awesome. The Reuben was equally as delightful. The soups-potato with bacon, broccoli and cheese, & chicken noodle all rocked my proverbial world. The order online system is stellar – just make sure you order from the right location… or you may end up making a longer drive to downtown Mokena. Overall, 2 thumbs up for Eggcetera.

This is the second location for EggCetera Café — the original is also in Mokena and has been for 10 years. This is the newer one and has been around for about 3. I had no idea, it was a first for both my husband and myself. I liked it and probably should go back before I write a review as I really debated between 3 stars and 4 stars, 3.75? Maybe? What I really really liked were the Pumpkin pancakes and that you could get a short stack of them and have other breakfast stuff if you ordered the Pumpkin pancake special. I don’t know about you but I always have the Savory? Sweet? dilemma at any breakfast place. You literally get to have both with this fabulous special. I would highly recommend those delish pancakes and my eggs were great and I adored their turkey sausage. I also was shocked to get hash browns with my special and I upgraded to have green peppers and onions mixed in and they were delicious, not the shredded kind of hash browns which are so boring and tasteless in my opinion. The English muffin came buttered, I really like mine dry and hate it when they don’t ask but just assume everyone wants it buttered. I hate to send them back so I just ate it. The cranberry juice was nothing special, not real high quality. But the coffee was just hot brown water. I could not perceive any actual coffee flavor. Now I know I like it strong but this was too weak even for my husband. There were definitely more good things than bad and I would come back for sure so I guess I will stay with the four stars. But can you put some coffee in the coffee next time? My caffeine addiction and I thank you.
