Gym Kinetics

We were at Gymkinetics for the 3 and 4 year old classes for two sessions. In that time, I never saw one staff member or coach smile. I mentioned it to other parents who said they noticed the same thing. Teachers of children should be enthusiastic and warm; instead, these people looked miserable. In addition, the place was a mess. The section where the young children had class looked like a big storage room with equipment not in use tossed to the side. We have switched to United Gymnastics Academy and the difference is extraordinary. The staff and coaches are friendly and enthusiastic, the gym is neat and clean, and the kids are learning so many more skills.

My daughter has been a gymnast here for 4 years. She started in classes and now is part of the competition team. Excellent coaches and staff. It can be very crowded and it can feel unorganized, but once you get the feel of the place and know where your child’s class will be, it gets easier. We have been very pleased.

We moved, so I was looking for a facility where my kids could practice gymnastics and this is the only one in the area where my boys can join a team, if they sticks with the sport. The place is OK but looks a little dirty and needs some updating, new mattresses and spring floor covers. They lack good equipment and space for boys. Where my 5 year old was before he was already practicing small routines and should have start intermediate gymnastics when he turned 6 but here he is stock in the 5 – 6 age group and doing a lot less technical exercises. I feel that both of my boys are going back instead of getting better. Right now they have around 14 kids on pre-​team, only one group and 2 coaches; when you add that to the small space and lack of equipment you can understand why the boys are not improving and just fooling around most of the time. Kids have fun and enjoy this place but it could be a lot better, specially when it comes to maintenance. I hope they improve when it comes to boys gymnastics or that another facility with better equipments for boys starts to offer service to the area.

10,000 bendable kids and 5000 gymnastic moms… glad the wife supports this extracaricular.
