Mokena Mart

I used to frequent the mokena mart as I have been employed locally for the past 5 years, however, I refuse to patronize the with my business any longer. They have gone through and fire all of the long time employees, and unless you go in first thing in the morning (yes there unfortunately is one single good employee here), you are being lorded over by a person who does not speak english in any way shape or form, and they make you feel like you are doing something wrong. This is mokena for cryuing out loud. This isn’t some high crime rate ghetto, yet the employees in the afternoon and evening will stare at you and tally everything as you go through the store. Heaven forbid you put something back because you decided not to get the item because they will check you up and down to make sure it is not being shoplifted. Their prices have gone through the roof (I thought they were expensive before) and their selection has dropped to almost nothing. I refuse to give them any cash that I have earned.

Since under new management, Mokena Mart looks better and friendlier. Under the old management, the owner fired my mother after being the best worker there. So screw em, but like I said it is starting to turn around due to new owners, and the re-​decorating of the inside makes it look better but smaller.
