I would leave ZERO stars if I could. Been here a couple times before and it was acceptable. Tonight was a joke. Pool tables were not level. Beer was skunk. Arcade games weren’t functional. And after paying for my pool table(which lasted for 20 minutes) the cashier told me ’ hey bro I ain’t got no change ‘…wow. Pathetic establishment will never be back here for this sh*t show!

Disappointing, unethical behavior! I was at Morgans’(Now«Alley») for a Mokena PTA event. We had a group tab and a member of our party gave the waitress cash WITHCLEARDIRECTIONS to put it against the group tab. Instead of applying it to the bill, the waitress pocketed the cash. Upon learning about this, we immediately called the bar. All calls went unanswered. Disgusting.

We hosted a party for 30+ people on Sunday evening. Trying to get in touch with someone to discuss our options was difficult. Once someone did call us back, employee by the name of Marie, she was not helpful and very rude. We arrived on Sunday, lanes were reserved and the tables in which our food was to be served were set up. The woman that was helping us at the time, Kim, was very nice. However, after the appetizers were served, another woman started to help out. Unfortunately, she was not friendly and acted as if we were a nuisance. The employee was Marie. By the display of behavior, I would say it was the same woman that took the phone call initially for our party reservation. We went to order more appetizers and I said, the wings are half price. She immediately says, ONLYUNTIL4. No where online, in the bowling alley or in the menus that she e-mailed us does it say until 4. It states Sunday specials. So instead of paying around $ 8.50÷20 wings, we paid full price at $ 16.99. Another $ 23.00 or so, in their pocket. False advertising. I would say the demeanor of most of the staff was as if they didn’t want to be there or help their customers. We had problems with our lane and to get someone to fix it was like pulling teeth. One of the lanes, the monitor that is attached to the table was fuzzy and didn’t work. So unfortunately, we had to «bother» someone to help us take a name off of our lineup because we couldn’t see the screen to fix it ourselves. Lastly, we were told that games were $ 3/piece. We kept track of our games. They said we bowled 86, we had 79. Ok, fine, I suppose. But then they said games were $ 4/game. That’s not what is advertised on their site or on the information that was given to us. When my husband inquired, Marie, told him prices are SUBJECTTOCHANGE. Really? It doesn’t state that anywhere!!! And even so, a well-run, honest business would never do this!!! They would contact you and let you know ahead of time. I will never spend money at this establishment and will tell all I know about our experience!!! Perhaps they should be reported to BBB. Really, no stars should be considered. All-around terrible experience. I’m embarrassed that we brought our team here.

Let’s face it, I’m from another state and I’ve never actually been here BUT someone who stole my debit card information spent about $ 25 of my own money here, so I’m sure they had a great time. Bowling is fun.

Clean and well kept bowling alley. However the pizza was the worst I’ve ever had. The sausage had a weird taste and my husband felt sick afterwards. $ 70 for pizza, watered down 7up and 2 games of bowling for 4 of us. We’ll find another local spot for family fun!

The lanes are always breaking down. There for a group party and three lanes took turns breaking down. Staff just said they were working on it. Did not seem to be bothered about it.

I’ve been here three times now and I think I will not go out of my way to go back. First time was with family and they had already secured lanes and ordered food by the time I got there, so I didn’t really notice the service. We had some pizza and it was okay, but nothing great. Second time was for my son’s birthday party. When I called to book the party, they gave me very few details on the phone. When I called a couple days before the party to confirm the numbers, I also asked about food allergies. I was transferred to The Alley and left a message. No one ever returned my call. I had to call back several times to finally reach someone. On the day of the party, even thought I had called and told them we had 15 kids coming, they only assigned us two lanes. I had to ask for a third lane. If we had only two lanes, the bowling would have taken FOREVER! We were supposed to have a server/party host, but she was basically non-existent. We got our pitchers of pop and ordered our pizza, but once that was done, she was nowhere to be found. Then when it came time to check out, the price I was charged was more than the price on the website. She told me it was because it was Christmas break. I didn’t have time or energy to fight it at that point because I was trying to keep track of a bunch of 9&10 yr olds. I ended up calling later that week to speak to a manager and it turns out the person on the phone who booked my party totally screwed up and should have given me more info. The server did in fact over charge me, so I had to go back and get my refund. The manager ended up giving me some coupons for some free games and shoes to make up for it. So today I took my family to redeem those coupons. Our power was out thanks to the storms, so we needed something to do. The bowling alley staff seemed much more pleasant and attentive, but the wait staff here totally sucks. The server never came to our lane. We had to flag her down to get any service at all. By that time, we were already 7 frames into our first game. We ordered some beers for us(GREAT beer selection) and food for the kids. She took my credit card to start a tab and came back with our beers pretty quickly. The kids food took a while to come out – not sure why chicken tenders take so long. Those were the only times I ever saw her. She never came back to offer us another beer or to check that everything was okay. We were done bowling and I had to flag her down to get my check and my card back so I could pay for my bowling. They lost money on us tonight because we would have ordered more and I would have tipped her more if she had ever come back to our lane.

This is a bar that is connected to a bowling alley which I enjoy from time to time. the bar though is very dark and kinda boring. I mean, they have darts and games and a huge pool hall but the bartenders are boring. They have nothing to talk about, they don’t socialize or try to make your experience fun or friendly. I kind of feel like this place is specifically to come alone right after a break up and get hammered while sulking in the corner with a broken heart. So the reason for the 3 stars is that they make some damn good pizza here. And I really enjoy the bowling alley which is attached to this place that gives you relief of the dismal affect you get when sitting in the bar.

Now known as THEALLEY, this place continues to suck! ! Server doubling as bartender, which she seems more interested in. Would not honor the GOLDENOPPORTUNITY coupon even after I inquired about it before we ordered… I asked to see a manager; she said he’d be right ovrt. After 30 minutes, we paid & left. Bar is still oversized for a restaurant. Unless you drink, they will make you feel unimportant.

I did a party on Nov 30th. Very Disappointing. They seemed accommodating to all my desires, once I got it booked, the communication stopped. I had to hound them to return calls or reply to emails. The day of the party came, no one introduced themselves for the 15 minutes I was there. They posted no signs to designate the party room. We had 1 server for over 50 people. The guests waited an average of 20 minutes for drinks. The son of the party coordinator ignored everything I asked him to do. At one point he said ok, and I watched him go sit down by the bar!!! The buffet was not watched and food was not replenished appropriately. I finally had to ask for more food, and plates, because they didn’t replenish that either. By the time the additional food came out, my guests had given up on trying to eat more. If you like poor communication, god awful service this is the place for you. Sadly for me the party was stressful and ruined because everyone was complaining to me. I will never book here again. Sad too, we used to hang out here all the time when it was still Morgans.

Cannot understand how they can run a business and never answer their phones. Been there twice to bowl(stopped by not knowing if there was open bowl) and felt like I was inconveniencing them by being there… come in Thunder Bowl! Put on a smile and want your customers to be there!

Never again. Everyone that comes here is guilty until proven innocent, meaning they want a credit card to «hold onto» until you leave, or cash up front. What a joke. They think that $ 2.50 for miller light draft or bottle is a sale too. I really can’t understand why they’re so crowded.

I went on a sunday night and it’s $ 3/game and $ 3 for shoes. Bowling here makes you want to get all of your own gear. I’ve never seen such beat up bowling balls.

The wife and I decided to go out for some drinks and food with my co-worker and his girlfriend. The wife and girlfriend came up with bowling and pizza somehow, and it seemed like an ok idea. We arrived at the bowling alley to find out there would be a half hour wait, no big deal. We tried getting a few drinks in the bowling alley section of the bar, but were ignored be the employee out there. It seemed he was only interested in filling up his drink and walking the other way. So we sat in the bar and ordered a few drinks and appetizers. The shrimp popsicles were actually very good. They were shrimp on a skewer with some kind of sauce that tasted like a garlic and butter mixture. I also ordered the sampler platter which says on the menu that it comes a variety of fried items and four potato skins. You get two potato skins that are diagonally cut to make four total… The other stuff was pretty decent though. Then we went out to get our bowling lane. It was $ 20 per hour plus shoe rental for the lane. The bowling lanes, balls, seats… it was all typical– The service was not! The waitress came and took drink orders and gave us a menu that I requested. She brought back the wife’s drink after about twenty minutes, when my co-worker requested a drink again. We never saw her after that… hope she’s ok? So for the rest of the night, we just got our own drinks which were priced pretty high. $ 6.50 for a vodka and cranberry, $ 6.50 for a captain and coke? And something was definitely wrong with the Captain Morgans. We think they accidentally«married» the wrong bottles into one. All in all, the fried food was ok and the service was not ok. We never got the chance to order the pizza we were after, and keeping food from me is not a good thing.

Thunderbowl used to be one of THE spots to be back when I was in high school, but this past holiday was the first I’ve visited with the chance to Unilocal em afterward. My family started a new tradition of an X-mas eve Wurst family bowl off, and this really was the perfect place to hold it. Even though it’s the suburbs $ 8 for a pitcher of beer isn’t half bad and the servers were really friendly considering they had to work on Christmas. There’s a decent sized arcade as well if anyone from your party isn’t exactly Ernie Mccrackin. Two games for 5 bowlers including neon shoe rental totaled out to be about $ 50 bucks. It’s a pretty reasonable dip in the pocket for some family time. I had a blast but my mom probably had the most fun taking home the title with a 147 in the same game that she dropped the behind her on her backswing. *serious post I’m sure my family will be back for many holidays to come.
