The hotel staff was very nice, otherwise this rating would have been much lower. The property is in desperate need for an update. The pool floor is cracked and there is rust everywhere. The rooms are not too bad, but the bathroom, especially, looked old.

Decent hotel, stayed here for work. The room smelled odd… but nothing awful. Clean, staff was friendly. Small mall across the street. Not a ton around as far as places to eat but witthin driving. Free Wi-Fi. Pool was smaller but decent. Breakfast in morning was good.

As soon as I walked in I thought it might need some updating, but not too bad. After check in we were told they had started a remodel that week. My kids were interested so they took them on a tour of what the new rooms looked like. We were staying there with a group and noticed that one of our group had a refrigerator and we did not. They put one in our rimmed within 15 minutes. Then, we were sitting in the lobby watching a movie huddled around an iPad, Sandy at the front desk sent one of the maintenance guys to the store to buy an HDMI cable and snacks so we could watch it on the tv in the lobby. I have never seen such service. With the update they are planning and the fantastic staff I would recommend this hotel to anyone looking for an affordable place to stay!

Hotel is pretty dingy for a fairfield, probably one of the worst ive been in and i stay at a lot. The staff is very nice though and the location is great for being close to things like the airport.

While just a standard, aging, business-class hotel on the outskirts of Moline, Illinois, the service and the quality of the hotel staff went above and beyond what I ever expected or have experienced. I stayed at the Fairfield Inn for 2 nights while in Moline for a business meeting. The first night was average; got off the plane, checked in, walked past the pool right off the only hallway(eew, mildew), showered, went to bed. Average, average, average and nothing special. The second evening, however, the hotel staff decided to host an impromptu BBQ for all guest. That’s right; they set up a charcoal grill and threw on brats, chicken, port, steak and hot dogs. They got potato salad and chips and hot sauce and placed it in the lobby to grab what you wanted. For free! The owner of the 7 – 11 adjacent to the hotel was actually staying that night and even brought over some beer for everyone. You never see that sort of hospitality and it was fun to just grill with some other random travelers. Particularly those who didn’t have the best meeting that day. Some of the chit-chat at the dinner had been about a local micro-brew restaurant downtown and I certainly did not want to miss that. I asked if they could call me a cab and the general manager obliged. This is where they got their 5th star: The cab dispatcher told her that it would take them 45 minutes for the pickup, and while I didn’t mind waiting, she told them, «no, thank you» ANDTHENOFFEREDTODRIVEMEHERSELF! In her own car! She explained there weren’t many cabs in Moline and she didn’t mind. You just don’t see that sort of service… ever. Maybe that’s normal Mid-West hospitality, but it sure impressed me. I hear that John Deere is headquartered in Moline and Rock Island Arsenal is right down the road. If you ever find yourself going there or needing a hotel in the Quad Cities, you can count on the staff at the Fairfield Inn to be… hospitable.
