Quality Inn & Suites

We stayed here because it had glowing reviews… so why not save a little money. What they were thinking I’ll never know.
We had an uneventful checkin, went to our room, it was about 7pm. Right away the people in the next room were so loud we couldn’t talk to each other. We thought, lets ask the manager to quiet them or just get us a different room. He called them and it was worse. They came out into the hallway, yelled and confronted us. And yes, them having different accent and being of a much publicized culture made me extremely nervous that they may retaliate.
We insisted we be moved. It took the manager about 20 min to find us a room in a nearly empty hotel. We got the room, went to dinner. After a long drive we looked forward to a hot shower. The shower mat was so old and stained we did not shower. The water in the sink was not warm, let alone hot. Just because the place is old does not mean it has to be dirty :(yuck! The carpet is dirty and dusty, the upholstery is stained. The heater blew cold air and no extra blanket in the room. The thin, gold, decorative bed covers are not what a tired traveler needs. An extra easily washed thermal blanket would be nice. The bed sheets were clean and comfortable. The ceiling leaked in the bathroom. Will not recommend this hotel.

The clerk went above and beyond to move us into a suite after we discovered that the ac did not work in our overheated room. The rooms were updated but it looked like the remodel budget ran out before they did the bathrooms, which were old and dingy.
